Review 1：1 day it was smell of chloride in the bathroom. The pool is closed in winter like in most hotels.

Review 2：View, sound and smell of the sea right through the window. Nice balcony. Quiet, safe place with shops, car rent, etc near the hotel. Very good exits to the highway and other main roads.. The highway is toll free. One of two managers is very cary, kind, helpful.

Review 3：The door of the bathroom didn't stay closed. The shower was over the tub and the tub was so narrow, that my husband literally couldn't fit his size 46 feet in it.

Review 4：We were looking for an easy stay after arriving on a late flight. For that it was good. Easy and plentiful parking and 24 hr. reception. The hotel is a basic Greek standard - no surprises (neither positive nor negative). The breakfast is fantastic and truly met the expectations the other reviews awoke. Especially considering there were so few guests they really went out of their way to make a great breakfast!

Review 5：Amazing view from balcony and availability of the personnel is on very high level. Positioning is very comfortable, you can enjoy calmleness of the place and easily reach Heraklio by bus. There is a supermarket close,a couple of nice restaurants.

Review 12：Once again we chose this hotel for the first night of our stay in Crete, and they were most welcoming when we arrrived at 1 am after a delayed flight. The breakfast quality continues to improve.

Review 13：The lovely pool was full of noisy locals. It was not possible to walk to town, - too far. Heraklium itselt seemed rather big and uninteresting.

Review 14：We stayed in Heraclium because we wanted to see Knossos og the archeological. museum. (We highly recommend both). We wanted to combine this with swimming and sunbathing. Therefore we chose a hotel in the outskirts.The pool was lovely. The breakfast was ok. It is however a 3 star hotel, and therefore quite basic, but the staff all did their best. The beach was not as Nice as in Rethymnon.

Review 15：Bed linens and towels were old and discolored, but all were clean. Beds were a bit too hard. There were some little cracks on the walls and furniture but all acceptable for a short stay given all other pluses for such a low price.

Review 16：Breakfast had a good variety compared to similar Cretan hotels offering free breakfast. Katerina was very helpful with the service and made us feel very positive about our stay in general.(Explaining local tastes and checking regularly if we need any help) Pool is large and deep enough for a nice swim (deeper than 2.00m) There is a beach right at the front of the hotel and people were carrying sun chairs from the poolside (for free) for their own, considering each chair costs 3€ per day in other beaches, it is a plus.

Review 17：Choice of food very limited. Only bar menu food, which is only club sandwiches or choice of salads and 2 types of ice cream. Pizzas, crepes and waffles are on menu ,but we were told these were not available. You have to walk down the road to get anything else to eat. We hired a car, which makes things easier. Hotel bar closes at 11pm. Pool is used by the local population and can get busy after 3pm when the local children arrive or at weekends. Hotel more for younger rather than older people as music is constantly played around the pool. Pool is very clean though and plenty of sunbeds. It depends what you are looking for in a hotel.

Review 18：Cleanliness, wifi and airconditioning were excellent. Towels and sheets changed everyday. Staff very friendly and try to be helpful.

Review 19：The only less than great feature was its slightly run-down out of town location. But this wasn't a problem - there's a bus stop just across the road and buses to Heraklion run around every fifteen minutes. You can get a taxi to Knossos for around 10 euros.

Review 20：From the start, when we arrived off the plane at midnight, we were made to feel welcome. The warmth of the staff, the relaxed atmosphere, the spacious pool and the delicious home-cooked breakfast made this the kind of place we would want to visit again. Brilliant value for money too!

Review 21：An amazing medium-sized hotel, best for family holidays. Beautiful swimming pool, very close to the beach, super-delicious breakfasts and friendly staff. The bus stop is very close so you can easily reach the downtown, Knossos or the airport. Great tavernas are within 10-15 min walking distance. We were extremely happy with our stay!

Review 22：The hotel is a bit dated, room and bathroom doors working poorly, horrible smell from the shower water quite often.. There is nothing going in that part of Ammoudara where the hotel is located. a couple of spots to eat, a pharmacy and big supermarket nearby but i found the surroundings quite dead, it hits you when you spend more than 4 days there. To go to west to other places like Rethymno, you have to go back to Iraklio and take the bus from there and same the way back, quite a long trip cause nothing except for a taxi departs from the hotel surroundings. We were shocked when we order a bottle of wine at the bar (our fault didn't asking in advance) and the check at the end for that bottle was 33 euros! for an ordinary white wine. The taverna nearby has fairer prices for such things.

Review 23：Friendly and helpful personal, big pool, private beach, bar and snacks service to both pool and beach, decent buffet breakfast, every day room cleaning. The place is easy to reach from the Airport with the local bus. All in all, good value for money.

Review 24：Some details (booked via booking.com) were misleading. Minibar is actually an empty fridge; hairdryer and iron are available by request, but not supplied in the room.

Review 26：Internet was free, you could use it at the bar, at the pool, in a lobby, but in the room was a bit weak signal and kept disconnecting... You couldn't see the sea even if you tried (we booked partial sea view room). The beach was nice, but it was quite windy, so we had to use the pool most of the time. There is no many restaurants around the hotel, so after 3 days you get tired of going to the same restaurants and eating only Greek food.

Review 34：We stayed in the Hotel for one night on our way from Heraklion to Chania. We arrived after midnight but the reception was open and they showed us to our room. There is no elevator between the ground floor and the first floor but its really not a big problem. The room was quite nice for the price we paid, very clean with air conditioning and good Wi-fi. We had breakfast outside in a cool shaded area with a view of the sea. The breakfast is great. It includes authentic local Cretan food like yogart, pies, olive and cheese pies all very fresh. The owners are very friendly and very hospitable.

Review 36：Hotel is in good position for those who want to travel over the Crete. Breakfast were very delicious with typical Crete and Greece meals and also common European meal (thanks to Katarina). The staff was very friendly and helpful, they cared of (asked) each guest if everything is OK (Katarina and George). Free wifi was in whole hotel area. Rooms are quite big with air condition and they were cleaned every day. Balcony with beautiful sea view. Hotel beach is behind the swimming pool area with sunbeds and beach umbrella.

Review 37：bathtub is a bit old can't keep a minimum of AC while out of the room (only one key allows to turn on AC) too many non hotel residents during the day at the pool

Review 41：The owner informed us upon arrival that we will be served breakfast and coffee the following morning at 0630. The receptionist told us however that he does not know how to make breakfast. The pool was full of locals which is fine, but please ask them to behave and respect hotel guests. I saw two kids drinking and breaking bottles of beer next to the hotel entrance. This does not leave a good impression.

Review 44：The pool was enormous but we couldnt use it because it was open to the general public and was constantly filled with young children and teenage kids.. i didnt like that because we paid for the use of the pool and it was very hot weather but it became very difficult to find somewhere to sit and have some peace.

Review 46：In this accommodation we dislike a number of things . First of all, swimming pool was designed not only hotel guests , but it uses a wide range of domestic population. In this way, the hotel bar attracts customers from the edges and local is a great place to relax, because the sea is big waves and young children it can be a big challenge. The second thing was the hotel neighborhood. Surroundings are not cultivated and several buildings have not been completed. Room sound insulation is poor, because you can hear the dog barking and the Greeks singing that can last all night.

Review 47：We liked the weather, sea, mountain views, close to the city center and a supermarket, the possibility of barbecue and Greek hospitality. If anything is needed , do not hesitate and try asking the hotel's staff. They will do anything to help you.

Review 58：The location is actually not bad at all, it's very near the beach and near enough to Heraklion city/centre. However, I did not like the area. The hotel is quite large, popular and used by many business travellers, so it does not have that homy, personal atmosphere the small, family-runned hotels we stayed at did have.

Review 65：A good budget stay - rooms were comfortable and had a large terrace to sit on in the sun. The best thing was the chap running the place - our previous hotel room got burgled as we slept so we had to stay an extra night to sort out an emergency passport (though don't let that put you off Crete - crime is very rare) and he was so lovely and warm to us, made us feel very looked after!

Review 73：Everything was great starting with breakfast, nice selection food, Katarina was amazing ans smiling all the time, always present, asking if we need something else, we gonna miss her !!! Cleaning of the hotel was on daily basis, everything was shiny! WI FI was great as well. ALEX Purser was very knowledgeable about island, giving us great recommendation where to go . He make out trip special, always smiling and very positive person... Looking forward to meet him again. Owner was very pleasant as well. Review 74：Location is perfect, next to the beach and only half an hour walk from Heraklion, if you get bored of sunbathing. The hotel seems always full, yet you hardly see many people, and of 50 or so sunbeds only several were ever occupied. You can lie at the pool while going to swim to the sea, it's that close. The staff were very friendly. The holel is definitely worth its money.

Review 83：Nothing. For business purposes, I stayed in many five-star hotels worldwide, but never enjoyed the same level of hospitality and empathy as I did in the Akti Corali Hotel. So, for me, it was a perfect experience.

Even the small details (such as WiFi in the room) were at a very high level. After a less happy experience in Athens, the hotel owners really saved our holidays. Review 86：The pool area and the location on the beach just out of town.Great breakfasts and warm helpful staff. Excellent taverna meals within 100 metres and 400 metres from an excellent Carrefour supermarket if you want to do your own thing with meals. Our room had a sea view and was very quiet.
