Reviews for Town Hall Lodge

Review 1:When we arrived we were told that there were no breakfasts on offer even though it was advertised as a BnB. On New Years Day no room service either but cost same.

Review 2:Great easy access to main road and beachfront. Very comfortable and beautifully clean.

Review 3:It is not a "Bad & breakfast" hotel - the kitchen didn't work for a month without any notices. In the middle of the night the painting above the bad just fell down on my pillow! My head was only 20 centimetres behind the steel painting's corner!!!

Review 4:The room had everything you need, but had a lot of steps up and down, which was a bit awkward during the night.

Review 5:Fabulous breakfast. Great location right in the heart of Swanage. Lovely old building.

Review 6:Friendly proprietors, very helpful about the area. Superb choice at breakfast, all freshly cooked, local products. Only 4 rooms, so good attention to detail.

Review 7:Friendly b&b, with great breakfast choices and recently furnished rooms to a great standard. Comfortable and pleasant, highly recommended. Judie & Clive were great hosts and provided plenty of information via email before arrival to confirm parking options (none directly at the b&b)

Review 8:We would not have changd any of it, nothing could have been improved. Would certainly recommend and would certainly stay again.

Review 9:Nothing was too much trouble. Very friendly and welcoming, very high standard of service, cleaniness and excellent breakfast

Review 10:No parking is an inconvenience and to park your car is a good 5-10 min walk which is not ideal when carrying luggage.

Review 11:Bright clean comfortable room had a good nights sleep very quite despite being in central location

Review 12:No car parking Staff are not around except for a short period. So when they forgot to give me the WiFi code when I checked in I went down later and couldn't find them - no WiFi for the night!

Review 13:Breakfast

Review 14:It has no parking so you have to find Roadside parking or paid car park. But this should not put you off if you are looking for a nice place to stay.

Review 15:This is one of the best b and b's I have stayed in. The rooms are clean with everything you need plus some nice extra touches.as for the breakfast it was better than anyone I have had in any hohotel.

Review 16:Friendly welcome, very clean establishment. Good location, home from home. Excellent breakfast selection, nothing too much trouble. Lovely people, will not stay anywhere else next time we visit Swanage.

Review 17:No parking and a very small en suite which means you need to dry yourself in the room rather than the bathroom!

Review 18:Very friendly hosts with local knowledge and the best B&B breakfast you'll find. Complimentary water and biscuits in the room along with tea and coffee making facilities.

Review 19:A very comfortable B&B in a great location. The room was beautifully furnished and attention to detail superb. The best choice and quality of breakfast; cooked to perfection. The hosts were very helpful and the information that they offered made our continued journey an exceptional road trip.

Review 20:Convient to to town and seafront plenty of walks. Judie and Clive were very friendly and informative regarding local area. B & B was bright clean and tidy and Breakfast was exceptional.

Review 24:My husband and I stayed for 3 nights and we loved everything about this Bed and breakfast. Julie and Clive were very friendly and welcoming and between them created the most amazing breakfasts. The room was very comfortable and the position of the B and B very central.Only slight problem is the lack of parking but we found street parkibg without too much difficulty.

Review 25:It was very overpriced for what it was ,staff rude and it was very noisy with no breakfast or parking included we have stayed in a lovely b& b in the area(unfortunately it was fully booked) for a 3rd of the price, we payed extra for king sized room! Was was far smaller than the standard room than we get in lovely & b

Review 26:It was clean

Review 27:For anyone less mobile the steps upto the rooms were a bit steep but that is only a minor negative

Review 28:We liked how central it was to everything that Swanage had to offer. It was spotlessly clean. The beds were comfy and the room was quiet at night - no street noise. Toiletries were good quality. Breakfasts were first rate with lots of choices..

Review 33:Nothing, it was all fabulous!

Review 34:Great location, friendly staff, very clean, nicely decorated, good facilities and an excellent breakfast! Cant complain!

Review 35:The absolutely only downside which the owners can't help is the lack of parking. We pulled up and dropped our bags then found a little hidy-hole for the car on one of the residential streets. Even though it is the school hols we were always able to find a space somewhere.

Review 36:Breakfast was delicious. A great selection available, the English breakfast was amazing! Neat clean rooms with a perfectly formed ensuite. Black-out blinds if you want to sleep in, hairdryer, tea and coffee in your room. You're right in town so can walk everywhere and truly feel as though you are on holiday. Swanage Railway was a 5 minute walk, so we pootled up to Corfe Castle for lunch at the Model Village Tea Rooms. Delish!

Review 37:Judy and Clive couldn't of looked after us any better. They made us all really welcome . The rooms were clean, and lovely and comfortable. The breakfast was 10/10

Review 80:breakfast

Review 81:The rooms were good but the breakfasts were wonderful

Review 82:It was not too difficult to find but there was no parking. This was not a problem for us but it could have been quite pricy if our stay had been longer.

Review 83:It was a relaxing inviting and friendly place. Very clean and the proprietors were very friendly and helpful. They also provided gluten free on their breakfast menu.

Review 84:I hesitate to criticise anything because food accommodation and service were so good but the breakfast coffee would be better ground fresh for cafe tiere instead of slightly stale espresso blend I would guess

Review 85:Just about everything except the coffee

Review 86:Breakfast was too early for a Sunday morning it finished at 9.30am and check out was at 10.30am

Review 87:Room was clean and nice, the bed was very comfortable, the Hotel is situated in the middle of swanage, easy walking distance to everything. the hotel looked like it could have been in a french courtyard.

Review 88:The lack of unrestricted parking on the street means a short walk is required from where you park to the B&B.

Review 89:Lovely breakfast, and the owners were very friendly. Rooms were very clean, and bathroom was well-stocked with nice toiletries.

Review 90:Your rooms were very comfortable and your array of breakfast choices was incredible and many thanks for the advice of a visit to the black swan

Review 91:We stayed over Easter for 3 nights and on 2 nights had disturbed sleep due to noisy drunks

Review 93:No on site parking but available nearby stairs very steep...but it is an older original building !!

Review 94:Very clean very well appointed room that was prepared immaculately, quilt and bed superb very warm, the food and dining room was excellent ,we think this b&b is the best we have stayed at in 15 plus visits to visit family in swanage

Review 95:Steep stone stairs to door of accommodation and steep flight of stairs to room (had new hip fitted recently so needed extra caution. No on-site parking.

Review 96:V. comfortable bed Excellent breakfast Friendly helpful hosts

Review 97:tiny stairs( but not too many of them). No parking and because the town was very busy with the blues festival we had to park a fair way away. In fairness, we did know this when we booked.

Review 98:The room was very comfortable, the en-suite a good size and breakfast was stunningly good.

Review 99:No car park but found a street to park in.

Review 100:We liked everything the room lovely clean fresh and decorated nicely.Breakfast fantastic, the area was perfect to walk into shops etc.

Review 101:Comfortable beds, lovely breakfast, good central location. Wifi. TV. Friendly staff who were happy for us to arrive early and leave late. We would definitely stay here again.

Review 102:I felt a bit pressured when given a 2 hour window to check in - that can be a bit difficult when travelling.

Review 103:The hosts were friendly and helpful. The room was pleasant and fresh. The breakfast was superb.

Review 104:The only thing was we would have preferred a firmer mattress.

Review 105:The warm welcome and provided us with lots of information and we felt comfortable in the surroundings.

Review 106:Room was rather cramped, toilet very narrow. Sun made the room very hot. Seagulls screamed throughout the night.

Review 107:Service was excellent and friendly. Breakfasts were tasty.

Review 108:No Parking. Either blackout blinds or curtains required as only slim white venetian blinds at window so room was too light from 4.30 am onwards.

Review 109:Breakfast was excellent and catered for celiacs. Fresh fruit and beautifully served and cooked. Everywhere was absolutely spotlessly clean and rooms fresh and airy.

Review 110:steep and narrow stairs to room, no parking, strange shower water spurtts from hole in handle and shower head

Review 111:Spacious room very comfy bed excellant breakfast

Review 112:Tv too small. No parking on site Staff a little unfriendly, didn'tover volunteer information which would have been helpful. A localresource folder in each room would have been helpful. Quite noisy atnight in the courtyard

Review 113:The room was very clean with lots of accessories to use. Huge comfy bedand bright and spacious room. Smack bang in the town centre for easyaccess to everything. Lovely home cooked breakfast in a pleasant room

Review 114:Close to town centre could access all places without using the car. Nice clean room and comfy beds. Excellent selection for breakfast. Very friendly proprietors.

Review 115:> 100 Pounds per Night (incl. breakfast) too high for Mid-season

Review 116:Lovely decorated room in a nice old building, just 5 min walk to the beach. Friendly hosts, which made an excellent breakfast using self-made or local products.

Review 117:The room was really not nice: the en suite meant really a microscopic cubicle with a very noisy loo and where a large person would probably not fit. Basin and most of all shower are IN the room. No mirror lights, no rails for the towels, and two main steps inside the room making walking awkward especially if you want to use the toilet during the night. Also no breakfast included in the already fairly high price

Review 118:The owners were nice and welcoming. Room and linen were clean, wi-fi connection available.

Review 119:An excellent B&B. Lovely and clean, with good facilities. We arrived on the wrong day, but the owner found us a room and also made the necessary on-line changes. Really central to town too.

Review 120:No parking. Shower room quite small. Lots of steps to rooms if people were elderly or disabled or heavy luggage to carry.

Review 121:Excellent breakfast, including Gluten free. Very helpful and friendly owners. Spotlessly clean

Review 122:Very friendly welcome and exceptional breakfast
