Reviews for Pucks Glen Lodges

Review 1:Cabin cold on arrival! Heater not working in living room! Owners had left extra heaters but had not told us of problem! So waited for heating to come on! Electricity seemed expensive and worried that using the fan heaters would be expensive! Worked out about £19 for 3 days! Bath would not fill up Plug let water out! No water pressure for shower! Small gripes! Which could be easily fixed!

Review 2:Location fantastic! Cabin very well decorated! Particularly the bedrooms! Everything you could need for a lovely weekend!

Review 3:The accomodation said fully equipped for self catering, was very poor. Shower not working as poor water pressure-which is to be addressed in the future, bath had no handrail and my 72 hubby had to have assistance to get out of the bath, which was still very tricky and unsafe. Rail and post @ the porch was unsafe.

Review 4:The location was amazing, just a little way from a beautiful glen full of waterfalls for must be about 4 miles. Good parking. Near to good diner and local grocery shop with Petrol station. (1 mile)

Review 5:The hot water stopped in shower on the last day and we showered with cold water in cold. It was the most disappointing. No hand wash liquid provided in bathroom or kitchen to clean hands. The water tank on the ceiling was making noise when it was filling up.

Review 6:The location was amazing. The facilities in kitchen like utensils and kitchen appliances were also nice. The cottage was clean and tidy with most of required stuff.

Review 7:Absolutely nothing

Review 8:Pucks glen fantastic and close by benmore gardens fab.Dunoon.Inverary and Lochgoilhead well worth a visit and so easy to get to all in all a great holiday...

Review 9:The Shower it was stated there was a shower so I expected it to work. we agreed to move from the 3 bed to the 2 bed to help the owner out. I am disabled and found the shower totally stress full, I cannot get in the bath so had to have my husband help me shower with there being no mat in the bath anyway. But to top it all I soaped my hair up and it took over 45 mins to get the soap out with my husbands help as the shower just dribbled. So I think its misleading to advertise a shower as it should be working. I would have never booked it in the first place if I had know I couldn't shower properly. If you are disabled do not reply on the shower. It did spoil my holiday so didn't fill in the form in the accommodation. It did say in the info in the lodge the shower wasn't good but that info we only got after we had booked an paid for the holiday so it was too late to cancel, The holiday for me was very stressful with not being able to use the bath and then relying on a shower and then not being able to have one of those either so I a very unhappy with that part and it is to e a major problem to my holiday that spoilt it. also there was a lot of dust collecting on the wooden walls. If you want to cook the pans were rubbish and the frying pan sticks very easy too

Review 10:The beds were very comfortable and the accommodation was acceptable. Pet friendly, Wi fi good

Review 11:Felt the living area cold. Imitation fire only blowing out cold air. Didn't appreciate the extra cost for electricity, no towels supplied and had to clean before we left or added charge for this. Also no water supply Saturday morning although this was fixed quickly. Some of the furnishings needing repair such as a drawer in the kitchen and one in the bedroom. Carpet frayed in bedroom. Overall did not spoil our stay.

Review 12:The bed was very comfortable and nice clean sheets. Location lovely nice walks around the Pucks Glen area

Review 13:* Being charged for an "extra" guest in spite of bing told that I could bring three guests. This cost me an extra £20 that the proprietor won't refund. * The attitude of the proprietor. * The cost of heating for three-ish days (almost £50). Poor lighting. Tired decor and furniture. Useless shower. Useless bath (hardly any hot water). Poor WiFi signal. The prospect of being charged extra if you arrive before 4pm. The prospect of being charged extra if you leave after 10am.

Review 14:* Location. * Mattresses. * Comfortable sofas.

Review 15:Six adults trying to get ready for a wedding and shower not working ! 4 members of the group had a disturbed sleep due to the noise coming from the external electrical box positioned between bedrooms. Lighting in rooms poor.

Review 16:Location was great Lodge was spacious

Review 17:Very dark Road noisy Shower had little pressure

Review 18:Location (although with caveat - see what didn't like) Owners had tried to leave the property welcoming by leaving lamps and heating on, and had left teacakes. Clean

Review 19:The mildew, the electricity meter next to one of the beds keeping us up all night. The dishwasher, oven and wi fi were broken. There was 1 plug point to share for the toaster and kettle. The lighting was poor. Compared to what else is on the market it is utterly over priced. The building is a 1970's poor construction and is asking a higher rate per night than 5star accommodation of an extremely high standard. On top of all this they asked us to pay for the electricity. It also had false advertising relating to facilities available. This is not in touch with what else is currently available as holiday accommodation for the money.

Review 20:The location. Clean towels.

Review 21:The very dirty bed linens, pillows, duvet, curtains. The broken dishwasher, oven and fridge. Lack f instructions on usecof in house entertainment and the microwave. The extortionate cost of the electricity.
