Review 5:That we only booked for one night and breakfast should have a beans option!

Review 6:Beautiful views, lovely friendly staff. Lovely touches with free fresh scones on your check in. Cosy room, lovely wood burner and place to get tea and coffee in the evening. Great cooked breakfast, ingredients sourced locally. High recommend !!

Review 9:Wifi signal can be problematic if you're not in the sitting room.

Review 10:June was lovely and to greet us at the door as we arrived. Facilites are excellent, and the attention to detail at the property is second to none.

Review 11:Nothing, this place was perfect!

Review 12:This guest house is beautiful and definitely the nicest place I stayed during my week long holiday in Scotland w/ modern facilities. Super friendly staff, great hot breakfast, located in a primo spot near Loch Ness. Would absolutely recommend this Loch Ness Guest House to other travelers.

Review 13:Mum and dad got a bath for the same price as us but no bath :-(

Review 14:Staff really attentive. We stayed for a race and so we were up early; staff put on early breakfast for us. Allowed us to buy food externally and eat in their reception/dining area.

Review 15:Hardest bed in the known universe! Harder even than Japanese beds!! They really need to address this!

Review 16:The staff were terrific. The guest house has been recently renovated and is in peak condition. Its aspect is wonderful.

Review 17:Staff were impersonal. Room was small and cramped. The bathroom was as big as the room. The bed was small and I wonder how Caucasians sleep on those beds.

Review 18:Nothing actually except that it has parking on site for those driving.

Review 19:Fabulous welcome from a friendly staff member, who took a real interest in the guests. Fresh scones for tea on arrival. easy to find and centrally located, so a short walk to a range of places for dinner.

Review 20:I have been in a lot of B&B over the years. This is the first one that made you feel welcome throughout our stay. nothing was a bother nice extra touches scones lovely. Tolietries lovely.

Review 21:Breakfast was very good. Room was very comfortable with a massive bathroom - rare these days. June was very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended if you want to relax. Good value for money

Review 22:One of the best accomodations we had during the 11 days we spent in Scotland. High comfort. Great hospitality. Nice breakfast and tasty food. Very good location.

Review 23:We enjoyed the professional, but relaxed and homely atmosphere. The management and staff were very accommodating an eager to please. It was a real pleasure staying there.

Review 24:Being told that we were not allowed to eat in the rooms. Understand guest house probably trying to keep rooms clean, but a bit schoolish being told this on your holidays!

Review 25:lovely baked scones on arrival. very friendly welcoming staff. Fort Augustus is a lovely village. good pubs and restaurants. Canal is very picturesque

Review 26:friendly welcome from staff, high quality, liked free cream te on arrival, comfortable lounge area and little kitchenette for drinks as well as facilities in the room. very clean

Review 27:Nothing

Review 28:Lovely new building. Very welcoming staff. Super room and fittings. Very close to places to eat and drink and to the Caledonian Canal lock Great breakfast

Review 29:Family of 4 travelling with teenagers. Great room options - King bed room for parents and 2 twin beds room for teens. Within walking distance of Fort Augustus for dinner. LOVED the Scottish Soap company toiletries!! Greeted with snacks on arrival, amazing cooked to order breakfast the next morning. Would return in a heartbeat.

Review 30:May have been a bad day but the cold reception on arrival was all but welcoming. Fortunately the waitress the morning after made up for it with her helpful attitude. Don't agree to the debit charge being made two days before arrival. Doesn't give you a chance to change your credit cards.

Review 31:The communal sitting and kitchen area. The chance to make yourself a coffee and snack at any time of the day. Nice touch the fresh fruit available.

Review 32:Small bedroom - no place to sit 2 suitcases. No chairs to sit on. Awkward stairs to get up to rooms. Hard to handle with suitcase in hand.

Review 33:Location - walk to town and all the things to see. New bathroom was fitted out very nicely.

Review 34:June is great. We arrived late and she arranged our dinner in 5 mins by phone because the only open restsurant was almost closed. Beautiful house qnd great location

Review 35:The Lochness had modern furnishings. It was very clean, fresh and tidy. The homeliness of the lounge with its wood burner and wonderful vista were delightful. Having been out for the day, to return to home made scones and crispy caramels plus fruit was a treat. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and chatty. We would love to visit again.

Review 36:My only comment would be the soundproofing between rooms - not fantastic! But not serious enough to bring down my opinions of our stay Fab!

Review 37:Beautifully clean, fresh interiors and amazingly friendly and helpful staff who went above and beyond to assist us!

Review 38:The communual area was relaxing with the log burner and views, the staff were pleasant and the breakfast selection was good, room was clean and modern and the shower was good. Will stay again

Review 39:Although the hostess said she'd given us the best room, it was right by a very busy road which was noisy until quite late and also early in themorning.

Review 40:This is an old building but very modern inside. The public rooms are spacious and the staff very friendly. As it's been recently re-furbished, everything is pretty new.

Review 41:Leaving

Review 42:Everything from the Warm welcoming smell of fresh baked scones the moment we arrived to the delightfully prepared & served delicious breakfast in the morning. The place and the staff couldn't do more to make you feel more welcome & very much at home in a relaxed yet luxurious guest house

Review 43:We were travelling on our motorcycle and made very welcome by the staff. Fresh baked scones and a cup of tea on arrival. Good advice on where to go for an evening meal. Our room was immaculate and the shower excellent, good breakfast as well.

Review 44:Mattress was very hard for us.

Review 45:Lovely location, the breakfasts were very good. The breakfast/guest room was fantastic with fabulous views of the mountains. The staff were wonderful, June was a credit to the place.

Review 46:That i only spent one night! It was the best stay in scotland and we stayed at 5 star hotles that were over designed with stuffy dusty ornaments small datesd rooms and bathrooms....so this was a great suprise!!

Review 47:The clean sple design. Large comfortable spaces. Very very very clean!!!!

Review 48:First class service, nice decor beautiful setting and cozy log fore with in the reception lounge area.....bliss. oh the chef's famous scrammled egg's and bacon were throughly enjoyed too.!!!

Review 49:Lovely staff, great decor, roaring fire in communal sitting room, help yourself tea and coffee and biscuits. Lovely breakfast. A stonesthrow from the bar/restaurants the loch and the ladder of locks on the canal. Thoroughly recommend.

Review 50:Could only watch BBC1 & 2. No signal for any other channels which was annoying. The young man at reception said there was nothing he could do. As we were in room 1, we were next to the door which lead to all other rooms/breakfast room. Which meant it was very noisy all around us. Lots of banging doors and keys unlocking. Above us guests were coughing very loudly all night/morning. The next door neighbours could see straight into our room which meant the curtains were closed very early.

Review 51:Great location. Warm welcome. Lovely decor/en suite. Delicious breakfast.

Review 52:Comfortable room, great shower, good breakfast and friendly staff. Nice area to replace downstairs too. It was perfect for our weekend away in the highlands.

Review 53:My only complaint would be the keys and doors. Impossible to open and close doors quietly and so a lot of banging of doors heard. Thank goodness the other guests all retired early and so this was not a problem late into the night. Sound proofing not great either but was quiet through the night.

Review 54:Decor modern, fresh and spacious. Great location for walking into town. Very comfortable, great breakfast and wonderful staff. En suite shower brilliant and there was a service station in the breakfast room where you could get tea and coffee with fresh milk. Great lounge area with lovely views too.

Review 55:bedroom felt a tad cramped with 4 of us.

Review 56:Lobby/welcome area gave a nice community feel. Very clean. Nice use of facilities. Great bath. Great staff.

Review 57:Wi-Fi although free was patchy. Good access in open areas, but absolutely no signal whatsoever, within our room. No beans with the breakfast !!!

Review 58:Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, open plan seating area complete with Wood Burning stove. The views were amazing, and the complimentary freshly made scones were a real nice touch. Couldn't have hoped for a nicer place to stay.

Review 59:The virtually none access to WiFi.We know that this is probably outwith the owners direct control and didn't really affect our stay too much, however, our visit was a combination of business and pleasure.

Review 60:The high quality of the furnishings and fittings in the room and open areas of the house.Being able to make our own tea and coffee in the communal kitchen provided and relax in the lounge. We enjoyed the high standard of breakfast served in an un-stuffy friendly manner.

Review 61:The breakfast wasn't very abundant, could do with some more food

Review 62:This guesthouse is as close to perfection as accommodation gets: the building looks brand new, immaculately clean, comfortable and warm bedrooms and beds, well equipped bathrooms, great staff. There's a living room with a fireplace, sofas and books, perfect for a rainy day. I'd love to come back!
