Reviews for Little Silver Country Hotel

Review 1:Breakfast was only served between 8am-9am. It would have been nicer to have a little more leeway.

Review 2:The location. Near to the town centre and not too far from Chapel Down Winery. (which was why we were there). Staff delightful, helpful and fun. Rooms warm, spacious and comfortable.

Review 3:Lovely room, nice and clean, very friendly and welcoming staff, restaurant was nice, food and service was excellent, location was perfect for our needs, this place is a hidden gem!

Review 4:The room could have been a little warmer; dinner was fairly plain (although well prepared) and in our opinion rather overpriced.

Review 5:The room was spacious and comfortable, and the cooked breakfast was first class.

Review 6:Thought for the money we paid it could have had a bit more luxury. Room was a bit dated decor wise.

Review 7:Convenience, helpful staff and generally a very nice atmosphere

Review 8:The hotel feels like a hospital. Sterile, cheerless and generally not a place one would volunteer to spend time in. Everything seemed as though it was being delivered for the lowest possible cost; the cumulative effect of which is a place lacking any sort of 'welcome home' feeling.

Review 9:The room was clean and reasonably quiet given that the hotel is next to a busy road.

Review 10:none

Review 11:The Hotel is quiet inside the way the rooms are laid out ,so you get a good quiet sleep !!!. Also you cannot hear the traffic because the majority of the rooms are at the back overlooking the garden. breakfast very nice too .

Review 12:Although we were on the second floor I was kept awake by the person in the room upstairs walking around.

Review 13:The staff were absolutely fantastic and really friendly and accommodating. They made it seem easy to give customer service at all times.

Review 14:Room wasn't very clean didn't see staff smile once and at one point thought the barman was going to burst into tears. Was there for a wedding And the food was atrocious my soup was like boiled potato water and my jaw hurt from chewing the chicken

Review 15:Nothing

Review 16:Staff were brilliant taking us to and fetching us from our evening out as there were no taxis available. Breakfast was also a nice surprise as cooked to order

Review 17:Staff were very helpful and created a relaxed atmosphere Hotel was well maintained and comfortable The hotel was very clean and the room and bed very comfortable

Review 18:The only downside was they hold weddings and we could hear the music late when we had gone to bed.

Review 19:We liked the location as it was good for touring the are and visit to Rye. We loved the room as we had the four poster. The staff were extremely helpful.

Review 20:Only thing I found was shower door was a bit small. If you are larger than a size 16 forget it. But this could be rectified by not having a corner door

Review 21:Went for a friends wedding and the hotel and staff were exceptional. They made the venue look absolutely stunning. But it's a beautiful little hotel anyway. Would recommend and stay again

Review 22:The room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast was tasty with plenty of choice. What really makes this place special is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. We would stay again.

Review 23:Toilet not very clean on arrival but this was remedied within 15 minutes. Not bad for a Sunday afternoon!

Review 24:Staff were friendly and helpful. Did their best to adapt menus etc. to meet individual tastes. Hotel and grounds compact but pleasant. Conveniently located about a mile from town centre.

Review 25:The shower had no power. The staff were sweet, trying to be very helpful, but were very wrapped up in preparations for a wedding. A few small requests such as an alarm call, a newspaper, milk, and general service at meal times didn't happen. Not a problem, but at the price sort of expected?

Review 26:Comfortable, airy room, with a decent bathroom. Sunny conservatory for good meals.

Review 27:The room was rather hot and I would have booked a room away from the front due to the road.

Review 28:Lovely welcome and even staff were super friendly. We took a stroll into town so didn't eat in although town was a little further than we thought. We opted just for a light breakfast but there was a lot of variety.

Review 29:There is nothing negative that I can write.

Review 30:The hotel was well situated on the outskirts of tenterton. Room was very nice with a very comfortable four poster bed. Breakfast was very tasty with good quality produce used. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Review 31:Awful pillows! Wedding guests wandering through restaurant during evening dinner!

Review 32:Friendly staff, good dinner and breakfast, spacious suite and good wifi!

Review 33:Would have liked a little more central to Tenterden but that was my fault for not checking and even if I had I don't think I'd have chosen a better hotel The wifi wasn't available in my room

Review 34:Pretty much everything The staff were great and couldn't do enough Gave us great ideas of restaurants etc

Review 35:Slow service at breakfast (Sunday morning). Waitress walked past several times without spotting things were needed by us. Very pleasant - just seemed quite inexperienced.

Review 36:Personal welcome. Upgraded room. Very comfortable bed. Good breakfast - choice and quality.

Review 37:Uncomfortable mattress the first night, but this was replaced after our complaint. Christmas Eve evening meal ridiculously expensive and poor quality

Review 38:Pleasant room, nice location.

Review 39:The same as anywhere you go, the price of drinks, if you reduce the price of drink people would buy more.

Review 40:Everything was to detail, cleanliness is a big thing and they have it right, everywhere you look its been cleaned, nothing was to much trouble, I've classed it as good because anywhere you go it would never be excellent! lovely hotel, and the breakfast was lovely.

Review 41:Corridors & stairs had the feel of a care home with heavy duty practical carpets & fittings, similar smell too. Not cheap.

Review 42:Comfortable room. Quiet at night.

Review 43:bed was very hard, but that's a personal thing I guess, slightly remote a small shop down the road in the next village or the main town both of which you need to drive to, but that's just being picky

Review 44:having a morning phone call at 9:15 asking if we were coming down for breakfast since it normally stops at 9 and still being served, lovely building and outside areas lovely bathroom with underfloor heating. just a lovely lovely place strongly recommend, would happily stay again

Review 45:Provided with room equipped for a disabled guest which I'm not , so therefore found the bathing facilities less than inviting. I understand I was put in this room because it is furthest from the function room which was hosting a wedding that evening. Music could still be heard clearly - however I did get to sleep lulled by the beat of the wedding classics. It is a nice hotel but I would suggest that future guests check whether their is a function being held during their stay.

Review 46:Location and general ambiance. It's a really cosy hotel just on the outskirts of the very pretty town of Tenterden

Review 47:Room a little chilly in evening - heating not on. Breakfast only till 9 and check out at 10 - a little early for a weekend.

Review 48:Clean, comfortable room overlooking garden. Helpful, friendly staff. Good location - 5 minutes to town centre. Plenty of car parking.

Review 49:Nothing.

Review 50:Booked this hotel as a last minute short break. It delivered everything that was advertised. Our room had very large bathroom with bedroom area over looking the fish pond. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Although we didn't sample the evening meal, the breakfast offered good quality bacon and sausages and was well cooked. There was ample parking during our stay.

Review 51:Whilst the service was great and the room was comfortable, I think £80 for the room was a tad expensive, but maybe that's just me. Would definitely recommend though.

Review 52:Excellent service, very accommodating and friendly staff, comfy room.

Review 53:As above, the food was dreadful. We complained about breakfast at the time and wrote afterwards detailing our concerns. The reply was dismissive. £160 was an grossly excessive price to pay for a 'hotel' of such poor quality particularly as we have experienced far superior accommodation and food within the area.

Review 54:There was little to like about the food. The evening meal was quite tasteless, the steak of poor quality and overcooked. Breakfast was a disaster. The scrambled eggs were inedible, the toast was sliced 'supermarket' bread and the marmalade/jam came in small plastic containers. This was 'penny-pinching' of the worst kind.

Review 55:We stayed mid-week when the hotel was less busy than it must be at the weekends when they cater for weddings. For the best experience choose your days wisely!

Review 56:The hotel is very well positioned outside the town of Tenterden. We enjoyed a 2 night stay in a very comfortable room overlooking the attractive gardens. The breakfasts and dinners we had were of good quality and well-presented. The staff were all excellent making us feel at home - nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely stay here again as there is more to see in the area.

Review 57:A hot day and no air conditioning in the bedroom.

Review 58:The quality of the place, how individual it is, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, great breakfast choice and a well stocked bar.

Review 59:The price of £13 for two teas and two scones was a little steep.

Review 60:A warm welcome from reception on arrival, good clean and comfortable room. A nice hearty well prepared breakfast in the morning.

Review 61:only negative was that there was a wedding when we were there and after it had finished some stayed and sat outside and were shouting at 2am in the morning

Review 62:Staff, clean rooms, food, location, breakfast was great and included in price

Review 63:The bathroom was just a little bit cramped.

Review 64:The staff were attentive and friendly. The breakfast was good and the whole place was clean and good value for money. we would absolutely stay again.

Review 65:Nothing to really dislike.

Review 66:Easy to find, easy to park safely, and made very welcome on arrival - and before when I enquired about leaving the car there ahead of checking in. Lovely sunny garden and good well-priced food and drink. Nice to see the restaurant open on a Sunday evening, too. We're planning to return.

Review 67:The hotel owner checked us in and he was very helpful and friendly We were spoiled rotten at breakfast, couldn't ask for more choice or better service Hotel was immaculate, all facilities in perfect working order

Review 68:A problem with noisy residents in an adjacent room were dealt with very sensitively. Unfortunately some people do not know how to behave! We would stay again, as this problem did not reflect on the general clientele.

Review 69:Due to local Christmas Event all taxis fully booked so a member of staff went out of his way to take us and pick back up from Tenterden.

Review 70:Bit pricey for what you got

Review 88:As above - comfortable, clean and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Made out very brief stay a delight.

Review 89:We liked the friendliness of all the staff and the quality of the room and food

Review 90:Wi Fi connection was not brilliant, but not essential!

Review 91:Lovely atmosphere and helpful staff

Review 92:We received a warm welcom from helpful staff. The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable and we were served with a good breakfast

Review 93:The wifi in our room was intermittent.

Review 94:Oliver and his team were very helpful for our needs...walking directions, vegetarian food, and local knowledge.

Review 95:Dinner was expensive for what we had. A shame there only appeared to be one more room let, because there was. No atmosphere.

Review 96:The room and breakfast.

Review 97:Not a dislike but it was a tittle too far outside of Tenterden for us,

Review 98:The friendly staff
