Reviews for Duncreggan House

Review 1:Nothing

Review 2:Staff was very nice and friendly . we reached very late in the night and they were waiting for us and welcomed us and made us a cup of tea . Place was in wonderful location and it was very quiet and clean .

Review 3:A bit tricky to get to by public transit at late hours; take a car or plan carefully

Review 4:Wonderful staff Comfortable rooms Great breakfast! Scenic and relaxing countryside B&B offers bikes free to guests

Review 5:We stayed in the smallest room, it was a bit run-down but still rather nice overall. It wasn't good value for money but would be if you booked in advance and stayed a full week (which most people presumably do) The restaurant area really needs doing up - didn't try the food though but looked nice.

Review 6:Lovely location, although lack of public footpaths making exploring a bit difficult if you want to go off road. Very romantic house, right next to where you can hire boats and near to beautifuk castle Nice to stay somewhere with a bar Amazing views

Review 7:Mick welcomed me with afternoon tea and scones which after a 60+ mile cycle from Ayr was just what was needed. Our bedroom view over Loch Long was outstanding and the overall warmth of Mick and Susanna's welcome was really appreciated. The breakfast was magnificent and set me up for another day in the saddle.

Review 8:Helpful and very friendly owners of the guesthouse. Very good breakfast with a great choice: fruits, yoghurts, full scottish breakfast, homemade bread. Splendid from the garden and the conservatory over the firth of clyde.

Review 9:It was all great

Review 10:Friendliness of couple who run it. Lovely breakfast. Glorious views over Loch Red wine on welcome tray Real genuine welcome Log fire in TV lounge

Review 11:A greate view of the loch, A very nice room. Great dinner & breakfasts. Great hosts who was very kind and tipsed us about things to do and how to get there.

Review 12:Our hosts Susanna and Mick opened their home to us, made us feel like family as we sat in the lounge and dining rooms. The decor particularly lovely, and setting wonderful.

Review 13:The duvet was a bit heavy for summer but that is a personal choice

Review 14:We stayed for 2 nights last year and were only too happy to return Duncreggan is a beautiful house with lovely spacious rooms. Breakfast is good and the table settings make sitting down to a meal a real pleasure

Review 15:The double bed was beautiful to see, but we found it difficult to sleep under a double duvet. Two single ones would have been more appropriate.

Review 16:The warmth and helpfulness of hosts Suzanna and Mike. When we arrived no restaurant was open in the direct neighbourhood and they served us home made food. Duncreggan house is almost completely and beautifully decorated in the style of the old English houses. Beautiful view on the Clyde from our room.

Review 17:It was a nice place so friendly would go back again and tell my friends abt it

Review 18:Expensive for what you get, dirty, squeaky bed so not a good sleep, had to crouch down to get shower

Review 19:Checking out

Review 20:Views were amazing. Mick & Susanna were wonderful hosts. Very relaxed atmosphere.

Review 21:The hosts Susanna and Mick are very warm and friendly. Nice house with a fabulous conservatory, where quality home-made food is served (in addition to a traditional, luxury dining room). Spectacular view from my bedroom. The experience well exceeded our expectations!

Review 22:Beautiful house in fantastic hillside location overlooking clyde and lochs, close to mountains, countryside and convenient for airport/glasgow/highlands.

Review 23:nothing

Review 25:Mick and Sue, the owners, were fantastic - really friendly and chattyand went out of their way to welcome me, including a lovely cup of teain their conservatory overlooking the loch. I stayed in a cosy, comfytwin room overlooking Loch Long, with a very clean bathroom andeverything you could wish for (hairdryer, iced water from the area, tea,tv etc.). The breakfast was fabulous - definitely recommended!

Review 26:There were no problems with the house as it was as described on web site but there was no word of warning about the short but steep hill up to the house.

Review 27:Clean, well cared for and nicely presented this property has great views over Loch Long and the Clyde. There is always something interesting to look at and I was pleased to see red squirrels in the area. On arrival the welcome was friendly and professional. The breakfast was exactly as ordered and very tasty. There are lots of good walks around this part of the country.
