Reviews for Sennen Cove Cottage
Review 1:We were temprarily trapped in 'Grasscroft' as the adjoining 'cottage' 'Grassmead' had opened their downstairs bathroom window which prevented us from opening the front door! We did eventually work out how to get out via the rear bedroom back door & around the side of the property. Had there been a fire in the rear bedroom we would have been trapped inside the property with potentially lethal consequences. On a lesser note the cooker did not work.
Review 2:My husband and I are tall large people and the standard size double bed was just too small and hard (we have a super king at home) but that is true of a lot of this type of accommodation. Given that people are generally getting bigger and taller then I would recommend that for comfort all properties should have at least a King size double bed.
Review 3:Quiet tidy peaceful location. The facilities were clean and partly modernised if the layout was a little odd. One bedroom off the kitchen and another that you had to go through the bathroom to get to but that reflects the age of the property and the fact that it was a former Granny annex. The owner told me that he is building a new complex next door with 2 new 2 bed apartments and that the place we were in will be demolished and rebuilt so I can't wait to see the new apartments which I am sure will be to a high standard. The location is brilliant.
Review 4:Minor gripes. Double bed quite small. Why don't people put king size duvets on double beds? Makes much more sense, Why did we only get one wine glass, the other one was plastic! Yuk. Needed TLC outside, paintwork and sills.
Review 5:Ease of access to all sight seeing facilities. Particularly coastal paths and beaches.
Review 6:It would be nice to have some extra toilet paper rolls and a shower gel as there is not much nearby and we had to go and buy it
Review 7:The location is nice and the cottage we stayed in had a nice backgarden and patio. It is well maintained and we had a very comfortable stay
Review 8:I was surprised by the entrance hall, it felt a bit tired & didn't give a good first impression. Thankfully, the cottage itself was much better :) I would have loved to stay longer?...
Review 9:I love this location & there's a sea view from the lounge. The bed was also very comfortable.
Review 10:Heating only by Electric storage heaters, but they worked well for our stay in December! Beware as it's at the top of the hill!
Review 11:Good location, just uphill from the beach. Good facilities, nice bedrooms, useful to have separate WC upstairs from bathroom.
Review 12:When we arrived I had to clear away 7 air fresheners, which were there to cover the musty atmosphere in the flat, which was below ground at the back. The bedroom could not be ventilated at night because the windows opened onto an enclosed conservatory. I have asthma so I did not like the atmosphere in the flat at all.
Review 13:the flat was comfortable, clean and well-equipped
Review 14:Very comfortable apartment, fantastic location. Only a short walk down to the beach and harbour at Sennen Cove. Steep hill back up but anyone reasonably fit will be fine.
Review 15:Sennen Cove Cottage is great value for money. wonderful coast line. The cottage (house) is spotless and has all you could ask for. I have recomended it to friends and looking forward to our next stay.
Review 16:Though free WiFi exists, the router is extremely weak and major parts of the apartment are out of its reach. For a modest fee this problem could be solved. As opposed to what many British hotel/motel/B&B owners seem to think, internet is not a luxury these days and if WiFi is advertised, it should be given similarly to the bed size or other facilities.
Review 17:Very nice apartment, well equipped, good location within walking distance from the beach and nearby little port and pubs of Sennen Cove, short driving distance from Cornwall's main attractions.
Review 18:Accessing the single bedroom via the toilet/shower facilities didn't work for us and the walk back up from Sennan Cove is a bit of a hike!
Review 19:Relaxing well equipped cottage ideal for our visit to the Minack theatre which was only a few miles away, as was the Lands End complex. Geoff the owner is a good guy, friendly and easy to deal with. Sennan Cove with its pub, chippy and shop is minutes away by car (10 min walk down). Garden area/ patio and conservatory are lovely and delightful to sit in.
Review 20:The owner made a point to ensure that I had the instructions on how to check-in and how to find the place. On the first morning we were there, he called to ask if we needed anything and he met us the morning we left just to check if everything was alright for the duration of our stay.He was very attentive. The property was the perfect location, just a short walk from the village center for shops and cafes. The whole property was spacious and comfy. Everything worked properly and it was set up to be a great family vacation home.
