Reviews for The Old Vicarage
Review 1:Good to have mini fridge in room and fresh milk but fridge was noisy overnight. Otherwise nothing I didn't like.
Review 2:Great rooms. Made to feel very welcome. Accommodating to separate breakfast time and early start
Review 3:Not staying longer.
Review 4:The hosts are very welcoming without fawning. The little touches in the rooms make such a difference and make the stay all the more memorable.
Review 5:I personally found the polyester duvet, pillow and under blanket very hot and uncomfortable but my partner had no problems with it. We found it a little bit hard to locate without street signage and only found it by fluke.
Review 6:The hosts were really friendly, the room was very pleasant and it had little extra touches like the sweets and port which was very welcome.
Review 7:The homely atmosphere with family photos all round the house. The excellent welcome and being treated with complete trust. The owners make you feel completely at ease.
Review 8:This was an absolutely lovely place, and Annette and Keith couldn't have been more welcoming. We had a beautiful room, overlooking the old churchyard, with its own bathroom – complete with a lovely deep bath. The breakfasts were absolutely fantastic.
Review 9:The owners made us very welcome on arrival and gave us local information to help make our stay more enjoyable. The breakfast was as good as you could get anywhere.
Review 10:The location, the house with interesting history which was restored and front garden, a lot of attention to detail e.g. a tiny fridge for milk, a radio. The cooked breakfast was truly delicious.
Review 11:Lovely hosts who were very welcoming and gave excellent service. Terrific choice offered at breakfast which was delicious and out of the ordinary. Comfortable room in an old house full of character.
Review 12:I did put a note on the booking saying gluten free. I may not have emphasised the importance as they did not cater for my gluten intolerance and didn't seem to have a good understanding of the disease.
Review 13:Friendly people
Review 14:There is absolutely nothing to dislike about the Old Vicarage.
Review 15:Everything about the Old Vicarage is excellent. The setting, the room, the breakfast and most importantly the friendliness and helpfulness of the owners is by far the nicest of any we have experienced. It made a very pleasant change to have 100% reliable wi-fi. Will definitely be staying here again.

Tasteful and very well appointed room and bathroom with comfortable visitor's lounge downstairs. A complementary sherry was enjoyed after a long days walking. Breakfast was superb. Top quality ingredients from local farm shop and plenty of choice (including smoked haddock and kippers). Owners very friendly and attentive - very much recommended

Review 30:The location and the house are just delightful. It's like stepping into a Jane Austin novel. The room was very clean and tastefully decorated. We were made to feel very much at home by the freindly owners who also found space in their outhouse for our bikes. The breakfast was amazing. For us, as B&B experiences go this was as good as it gets.

Review 33:Arriving tired after all day on the motorbike we were welcomed to the Old Vicarage. Motorbike secured we were shown our room. It was pleasantly decorated in a theme matching the age of the building, the en-suite shower room was excellent. Sherry was offered when we arrived and there were biscuits and sweets offered with the tea and coffee. Breakfast was great, a variety of fresh fruit, cereal and choice of what we preferred for the full English or their "specials" list. My wife choice the kedgeree and I had the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. Definitely recommend the Old Vicarage.
