Reviews for Hôtel Baudouin
Review 1:Difficult ro find the entrance- it was the same as the "Ibis" .
Review 2:WE liked it there, because it was close ro the Motorwagen, close ro the city center, there was a lovely park nearby where we could walk the dog and a save parking place on the premises.
Review 3:Old deco , peeling walls, moulds grout in bathroom and no electric at breakfast, not enough parking. We thought we were reserving at hotel baudouin but it was an Ibis...
Review 4:In the bathroom there was a strong mold smell. The only possibility for diner was a microwave heated meal.
Review 5:Very friendly lady at reception. Good breakfast.
Review 6:There was no opening window, only opening balcony doors, so it was rather 'all or nothing'!
Review 7:Very near the town centre, just off the Old Town. Also near a pleasant park/arboretum for walks. Comfortable.
Review 8:The 1st room we had was small and uncomfortable and there was mould in the shower. It felt grubby. We moved rooms and there was an improvement.
Review 9:The staff were friendly.
Review 10:No much. It was just a hotel
Review 11:Stayed one night. Pretty ordinary. 52euro no breakfast but close to everything. Complimentary coffee was nice. No kettle in room. Could hear couple next door so walls thin.okay for overnight stay
Review 12:The manager was beyond rude. There was no shower jel, soap, hand jel, any sanitary items in the bathroom. no toilet paper, my bed was broken. The fridge was leaking the shower screen was leaking the drain was blocked. We complained about this all and the manger was rude and didnt resolve any of our issues.
Review 13:None
Review 14:Great WiFi - worked flawlessly Free secure parking Clean rooms Great breakfast buffet. A great budget hotel, would definately stay here again. A tip for people using the hotels free parking : If you use your car later in the evening , then expect to have to park in the street upon return as all available parking in both the parking lot and basement will be taken.
Review 15:The hotel is currently under renovation, lift not working, so slight inconvenience there.
Review 16:The staff prepare a wonderful breakfast, with fresh fruit salads - citrus segments, mango - and superb baguettes. Great attention to detail makes all the difference. Also a beautiful outdoor courtyard for drinks.
Review 17:The 'free' wifi service was very limited.
Review 18:Only cost €65, and was good in almost all respects acknowledging the price-point. Location was only fair because is a bit of a distance from main retail area of the centre of the town and the walk there was through back streets. However didn't feel unsafe.
Review 19:The Hotel is run by the Accor group and is signed as "Ibis". The Baudoin is on the side street and is not easy to spot.
Review 20:Everything, especially the gated parking. Breakfast selection was excellent.
Review 21:The breakfast is not the best for the price and it is in a relatively small room for the size of hotel so can get very busy.
Review 22:We have stayed here three times and always found the hotel to be vfm. The free secure parking is a bonus.
Review 23:Smell of cigarettes in the corridors and limited parking in hotel grounds.
Review 24:Simple, clean rooms with Wifi and TV. Quiet.
Review 25:Good hotel which is an annexe to the Ibis secure underground parking
Review 26:The reception staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful. Rooms were modest but well set up and comfortable.
Review 27:Could possibly do with more parking
Review 28:Wifi was very good great breakfast and excactly what you want from a chain hotel! Also staff are very helpful.
Review 29:Most importantly the staff were all happy and polite. Secondly the breakfast was excellent far better than we expected.
Review 30:Nothing
Review 31:The hotel was very conveniently located. The location was quiet. The additional cost for breakfast was considered good value for money.
Review 32:Bed and pillow a little hard for our liking The breakfast was one of the best we had in France
Review 33:Convenient location, nice little town, good park to walk the dog.
Review 34:A facelift is needed
Review 35:Free parking & excellent WiFi
Review 36:Awkward location situated in narrow streets
Review 37:Clean practical overnight stop

Review 49:Location, breakfast
Review 50:Very bad breakfast
Review 51:Good location
Review 52:Not sure why the hotel has a different name but it is run by Ibis. Good budget hotel.
Review 53:A little out from the town centre, but next to a park.
Review 54:Clean, warm, value for money.
Review 55:The hotel needs updating, it was clean but tired looking.

Review 68:The breakfast is expensive, eat outside.
Review 69:Good hotel for the price, great staff, good location, good wifi
Review 70:Not as clean as it could be. Breakfast was okay, but the dishes were dirty.
Review 71:The best thing about the hotel was parking.
Review 72:Location and the secure bike parking
Review 73:Room felt a bit tired and in need of a spruce up
Review 74:Nice location, safe parking
Review 75:Wi-Fi difficult to access from our room. Ok in corridor and main parts of the building.
Review 76:Location was good, near the park and a short walk to the town centre. Quad room was an additional bedroom off the normal room with no external access. This was much better than the usual four beds in one room.
Review 77:Not a great area, this is an old 2star that has has a paint job done. It's good value for a nights stop over.
Review 78:Only a short walk to the town centre. Secure parking.
Review 79:This hotel is ibis with friendly staff, relaxed assurance of quality anda very nice private yard with roses and the secure free car park. Allfamily slept well, and the coffee in the morning was unforgettable - wewill return just for that taste of coffee. Spacious 2-room family suitefor a modest price. And we loved the floor to ceilling windows.
Review 80:Twin beds were too narrow and too close. We spent the night banging one on each other despite expressly choosing twins instead of one big bed.
Review 81:Breakfast was good and the staff was very kind. Private car park with lots of space. Situation close to the center. Bedroom at the back very calm and silent.
Review 82:The night staff was non chalant. Perhaps He was tired, poor soul!
Review 83:The beds were very Comfortable.Clean, spacious Room with tv.WiFi. was very good. And fast. 24 hour service. Wonderful shower Room.
Review 84:We stayed at time of Valenciennes road race so car park was chocca block, also restaurant for breakfast. Think might be like this too for football matches as stadium nearby. Needed extra staff in breakfast room.
Review 85:Nice building, good restaurants nearby. Good access to motorway. Very good staff when under pressure of full hotel.
Review 86:Breakfast was basic - could have had more variety.
Review 87:The room was very comfortable, good location with the dog as lovely park nearby. Plenty of Auberge for evening meals.
Review 88:Rooms could have been cleaner. Would have liked tea/coffee making facilities. Needed a mirror in the double bedroom next to electrical point. Another English speaking TV channel would have been nice.
Review 89:Rooms a good size and beds comfortable. Staff pleasant.
Review 90:I stayed in a studio and the cleaning policy is different (they don't clean it every day). I didn't like the mattress, which was much too hard. No parking place available if you arrive after 7 PM. Breakfast is so poor, so I recommend not paying for the breakfast before trying it, especially if you stay more than 3 days.
Review 91:I appreciated the price of the room, as I needed 2 weeks accommodation while the house I was moving in was prepared.
Review 92:Night shift staff was miserable and unfriendly. Only English speaking guests in restaurant but he would not let us watch English TV he told us to go watch it in our room. It was also hard work for him to make us a coffee?? He should not be in the hotel business with that attitude. There are two huge generators/compressors in the court yard that started up at least 4 times during the night waking me up each time, the noise was unbelievable, the fans on these machines also whistle - does no good for a nights sleep - will not be staying at this hotel again and could not recommend it based on above.
Review 93:The day shift check in staff were great and very helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious.
Review 94:1. I did not understand in advance how to get into the hotel...including that we needed to enquire at the IBIS hotel reception (they are shown as two separate hotels on the map). I had to spend time finding out when we arrived. 2. There was a very big sharp knife in one of the drawers in the children's room (slightly dirty also). This did not seem right.
Review 95:The layout and aspect of the rooms was good. It was a pleasant surprise to find we had two separate rooms and also a bath and a fridge.
Review 96:This is now owned by the Ibis group. Part of the hotel has been refurbished and this part of the hotel is still to be done I assume. Room and furnishings very tired. But was reasonable price and in quiet location.
Review 97:Location and secure free parking. Ok for overnight stop. Breakfast rather expensive but good choice.
Review 98:It was a quiet hotel. During the night i coul sleep very well as there was no noise . I coul also refresh me as there was a bathroom with all the ncessary ustenciles .
Review 99:Negative is the room size (307) when was impossible to sit on chair, when the corridor between bed and desk was too thin. Room for 2 persons? Impossible.
Review 100:Possitive is location and distance to downtown by walk around 10 minutes.
Review 101:Sometimes room cleaning person would enter the room without knocking. There should be a better way to inform the cleaning personnel about checked-out rooms and they should always knock before entering, even if the room is empty.
Review 102:Very nice staff. 24H Room service. Food is very delicious. Free private parking.
Review 103:Comfortable overnight stay.
Review 104:Great to have a secure car park. Room was very comfortable.
Review 105:24 hours free internet and then chargeable.
Review 106:Five minutes walk from town and one minute from park. Free secure parking. Quite location
Review 107:Breakfast not cheap
Review 108:Room ok
Review 109:Room smelt of stale smoke
Review 110:A bit chilly.
Review 111:Free parking, close to downtown (5 min walk).
Review 112:Guests who can't restrain from smoking in a hotelroom.
Review 113:Breakfast Beds Location
Review 114:No available power outlet in room. Had to disconnect TV to connect laptop...
Review 115:limited secure parking
Review 116:good price clean & tidy good staff
Review 117:nothing, all ok
Review 118:Location and comfort
Review 119:nothing
Review 120:good value, not far from bars and restaurants in the city, own safe car park.
Review 121:The bed was very much too hard. A good hotel can afford a better bed.
Review 122:Crowded breakfast room
Review 123:Convenient,parking, free wifi
