Reviews for Forum Suites
Review 1:I Can't Really Think ff Anything I Didn't Like.
Review 2:There Was Housekeeping Every Day. The BreakfastAs as Excellent. The WomAn In Charge Of Breakfast Was So Accommodating. Also The Woman Who Handled Dinner. Marina Was Very KnowledgAble Of The Are. We Were So Happy With The Beach.
Review 3:The balcony overlooked the road and not the sea. It would have been nice if a cloth, washing up liquid and dish towel was supplied for the kitchenette. Given that you can't flush paper, a larger pedal bin would be more hygienic than the very small swing top bin in the bathroom.
Review 4:The location, the staff and the food.
Review 5:We booked a sea view apartment and the first room we got definitely could not be classed as a sea view. You could see a tiny corner of sea, which was then obscured by buildings/balconies and back gardens. We were understandably dissapointed as we had chosen to treat ourselves and pay the extra for the view. The staff were really helpfull however, and when we complained were able to show us another room. This room did have a sea view (the one you see in all the pictures on the website) but is classed as their deluxe room. The room size/layout is exactly the same, however there is a larger terraced balcony, which was nice. This room would cost extra (and they did try to charge us an extra 10 euro a night) but again, when we expressed our disatisfaction the receptionist was able to speak to the manager on our behalf and the fee was waived. The staff were friendly, but had a lot to do. The receptionist has to work at the bar/restaurant as well as cover reception and the mini market, which is kept locked until you request to use it. We caught the receptionist on a busy day when she obviously felt a bit stressed, but unfortunately she was rude and made us feel a nuisance for asking to use the market. We then tried to avoid asking for anything for the rest of our stay.
Review 6:Generally a good place to stay. Great location - just a short bus ride from Chania to find nice restaurants and bars, with the bus stopping right outside Forum Suites. Great beach nearby, the pool at Forum was good and usually quiet so you could have it to yourself for a bit, good onsight restaurant and generally friendly (if slightly overworked) staff.
Review 7:The staff at the Forum were excellent. We arrived late and they kept the kitchen open for us to have dinner. They also helped us booking a rent car. We were in room 217 and the balcony and views were amazing. They also offered us late check out as we had a a late flight out. The location is fantastic if you want to me a bit of the town and it is right on the beach.
Review 8:The fitness gym has minimal facilities.
Review 9:Very clean and friendly, across the road from great beaches. Bus service outside front of hotel, or a nice 25 minute stroll, mainly along seafront, to town centre. Comfortable rooms and good pool.
Review 10:Only complaint is that the wifi was really slow, but I wasn't in Crete to be online so it wasn't that big of a deal.
Review 11:We were so pleased with our stay here. We had a toddler with us, and the baby pool and the beach across the street were perfect for him. Staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were comfortable. There were many other families there, and it was quiet in the evenings. We would definitely stay here again.
Review 12:It is stated there is more commodities than we found it (hairdryer, slippers, bathroom, I think even some dvd player). We didn't need any of those, however they should be honest what's in and what's out. Overall slightly pricy for what's offered. Still, I would recommend it to anyone.
Review 13:Proximity of the great beach (Golden beach). Very clean place. We had a big terrace with sun beds. The place is very nice for children.
Review 14:Noise from airconditionin unit was horrible and it did not cool enough. The nights were discomfort ,hot and noisy. Earplugs were not enough to get good sleep.
Review 15:Nothing.
Review 16:Excellent Staff, could not do enough for us, as our flight arrived at 09:30, we thought we would drop our bags at reception and head into the Town for a few hours and come back after 14:00 when the room would be ready, we were told to enjoy some breakfast and they would sort our room out while we ate. The hotel is right next to the beach which was great, as they have everything there that you would want from books magazines, children's toys water inflatables, beach balls a nice beach snack bar. a 5 minute walk to Iguana Beach which was also Brilliant but had free wifi also. Outside the hotel every 20 minutes is a loca bus into town for 1.20 each way. bargain..
Review 17:I always look for good value and in hindsight would have skipped the luxury suite for a garden view room which was significantly cheaper. The luxury suite has a nice large veranda but we only used the room for sleep.
Review 18:The hotel is across the street from a beach. Very suitable for easy access to the beach, our kids loved being able to just go swimming while the parents rested. The hotel is also right on a local bus line stop that takes you into town. So didn't need to deal with driving during our nightly excursions into Chania.
Review 19:Our mattress was past it's prime, one side was ok the other side sunken in parts. WIFI whilst provided free was so intermittent always freezing or going off.
Review 20:Rooms where large airy and clean with free aircon. We had the best room 217 with a lovely large sea view balcony complete with sun beds, umbrella, table & chairs. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The apartments are just across the road from probably the best beach in Chania area. Rooms cleaned, bedding & towels changed each day. A good breakfast was provided as part of the deal, typical European buffet with bacon & eggs included.
Review 21:We paid in advance for a sea view room but the only glimpse of the sea we could get was if you stood in the far corner of the balcony and leaned around to the side. It was really a garden view not a sea view. I couldn't really see how many of the rooms would offer a sea view, so save your money and book the cheaper garden view. The shower was appalling, not once did we have a warm shower and the flimsy shower curtain and almost non existent shower recess meant the bathroom would flood and leave you with a dripping shower mat. They need to redesign this with a glass shower door.
Review 22:Nice pool, restaurant had a good selection of meals and staff were good. Location right on the beach was good and buses to town stop right outside the door.
Review 23:Be aware! The photos in Booking.com do not reflect the reality. We paiddouble price of what its worth in this time of the year and only becauseof the missleading photos. Management also ignore from travellerstelling them this fact. Be aware!!!
Review 24:Loved the employees of the hotel, great kind people. Good swimming pooland good breakfast.
Review 25:Dogging aggressive dogs nearby
Review 26:Bus stop outside into Chania

Review 32:pool, location, staff
Review 33:Staff are excellent, super friendly and helpful. Can't beat the location - right across the road from Golden Beach. Very comfy bed!
Review 34:bathroom is very small with a bit of an odd configuration.
Review 35:Quiet, great pool, the onsite restaurant and mini-mart was very convenient
Review 36:Very close to the beach, beautiful nature around
Review 37:Price
Review 38:Very clean and modern. Staff were first class in every way, great breakfast. Evening meals good but pricey
Review 39:Amazing location near the city centre and next to many beautiful beaches. The staff and the restaurant were exceptional. I will definitely stay at Forum the next time I visit Chania..
Review 40:Friendly staff, though intend to easily forget questions raised. Location is not in the centre, though very good accessible by bus every 20 minutes. Location is almost at the beach, very nice swimming pool, friendly atmosphere. Staff very willing to please and to help.
Review 41:Being well aware of the fact that we were somewhat off season, one might nevertheless have expected a bit more varied menu. Not being able to have something from the bar ("it hadn't opened yet"), was yet another disappointment.
Review 42:We were met by an ever so friendly staff, allways eager to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Travelling at this time of year, it was most certainly value for money.
Review 43:It's a very nice hotel, we enjoyed ourselves a lot there. Friendly and helpful staff, 2 swimming pools, beach is very close - 2 min walk (there are a few beaches around). Quiet environment, Chania (Hania) is a few km away, it takes 5 min by car or by bus and about 20 min walk to town center. When we arrived there was a complimenary wine and cotton t-shirts in the room. There is a parking space for hotel guests. Our flight back was in the evening and the hotel kindly let us check out late without any problems.
Review 44:Lovely location right near the beach. Good standard of accommodation, great pools. Fantastic balcony overlooking the sea. Nice restaurant, friendly staff. Short taxi ride to Chania harbour.
Review 45:old tv( room 230), remote control doesn't working, furniture a bit old, just a studio with elementary facilities
Review 46:nice pool, small garden well maintained, hotel is close by the sandy beach and Chania town can be easily reached by bus or taxi( 7 eur trip).
Review 47:no privacy on the front balcony (middle unit) sea view unit, and you have to pay to use the hotels beach sun beds
Review 48:Good small appartments in a great location
Review 49:nice and welcoming staff. Very clean. We booked a nion-refundable booking but could not make it for the first night so they offered us free breakfasts for the remainder of our stay - nice touch.
Review 50:The distance to the city was quite long but the bus stop was right at the hotel entrance so it was quite easy, taxi to the city costed about 10 €. There were a lot of ants in our balcony and they came in the room too.
Review 51:The hotel was very comfortable and elegant. Our room was very nice, the balcony with view of plants and houses and front door to the pool. The staff was very helpful and bikes to the mountain ride were organized easily from reception. The beach next to the hotel was veeery nice <3
Review 52:Close to the best beaches, bus right outside to town in 10mins
Review 53:The kitchen pots in bad condition
Review 54:nothing
Review 55:Ideal location close to the beach and within walking distance of Chania. The hotel as all the amenities required. Very friendly staff
Review 56:quite a distance into town
Review 57:very friendly staff, quiet location
Review 58:Friendly staff. Beach 2 min. Walk. City is a short cab ride away Food great
