Reviews for Old Stacks Cottage Annexe

Review 1:Cute, cozy and very, very comfortable. Best bed in the world, nice home cooked breakfasts. Very private and quiet; a real little sanctuary from hustle and bustle of the world.

Review 2:Ideal location for travelling to the numerous beautiful areas, open spaces and villages of the New Forest. The family who own the property made us both feel extremely welcome and the breakfast was lovely too!

Review 3:After booking my room (which was the back of a garage) four days before my trip and then dropping my case off at midday, they rang me at 1830 to tell me that I couldn't have my full English as they had forgot they had a family Birthday breakfast to celebrate as I was going fishing for the day breakfast but it was too late to book somewhere else at that time of night. I went to bed early as I would need to get up and go somewhere else for breakfast only to be woken at 2100 to be given a cup for coffee this place is a joke never again!!

Review 4:Nothing at all

Review 5:No Chair's to sit on only one small stool

Review 6:We could only agree with the majority of previous guest's First Class Value for money and we would stay again without doubt

Review 7:Fantastic stay such a lovely warm family including the pets! Perfect annexe as far enough away for complete privacy yet on a short hop across the garden for an excellent breakfast. Highly recommended. I will be staying again soon.

Review 8:TV was too small and could be updated Shower a bit small. Nicely cooked breakfast but could have had a bit more with it eg sausage and beans.

Review 9:Owner very friendly. Like that it was detached from house.

Review 10:An exclusive detached outbuilding converted into a quaint and peaceful ensuite bedroom. Outside the room is a small garden with a bench and coffee table surrounded by lavender. The family are really lovely and the breakfast spot on. Loved it!

Review 11:We are so please that we managed to find this little gem. When we arrived We were greeted by Brian with a lovely welcome, so polite and friendly he made us feel very welcome. The room is beautiful, lovely and clean with fresh towels and a very comfortable bed. We were asked what time we would like to have our breakfast which we found was a lovely little touch as we didn't feel rushed to get up and out! Brain made us a lovely breakfast ,My husband enjoyed his little chats with him about work! . Brain is a true gent it was a pleasure to be in his company.

Review 12:No information about the free wifi was available. It would have been nice if logging details were found in the room.

Review 13:Great little cottage. We booked last minute due to bad weather and were really glad we did. Big comfy bed, lovely host and plentyful breakfast. Very clean and as a bonus we got a great tip for a meal out. Would definatley use again.

Review 14:Overall space too cramped for us, 1small stool inadequate to sit on other than bed. As weather was nice we were able to sit outside. Really only good for sleeping in Annexe. Shower bit tight for me

Review 15:Good location, lovely couple who own. All clean & tidy. Extremely comfy bed Very nice breakfast

Review 16:Lovely, friendly owners and a gorgeous room, with everything you could need. Comfy bed and scrummy breakfast made for a lovely stay. Centrally located for New Forest, 4 nights stay just wasn't long enough! Me and Sassy dog were made very welcome - can't wait to return. A delightful place

Review 17:A lovely place to stay, very cosy room and super comfortable bed, lovely breakfast and an excellent host, will stay again if my adventure take to ringwoid again.

Review 18:The Old Stacks is situated perfectly for lots of walks in and around the New Forest. We were made to feel very welcome, the room is cosy and homely. Picking your own time for breakfast ( which was excellent ) is great.Food at the local pub was amazing.

Review 19:Constructive criticism. Kettle lead was not long enough to remain on the table. Use long life milk as having the little fridge running all night was unacceptable. Guys need a better mirror to shave with in the bathroom.

Review 20:The friendliness of the owners and were very helpful when I made an error with the booking. Excellent breakfast. Good local pub for an evening meal.

Review 21:This is a one bedroomed bed and breakfast. It is quite off the beaten track, took 20 minutes in a cab from the train station. So it really is best if you have a car to get there. The room is lovely, it has its own fridge and kettle etc and is bright and airy. Unlike most places I have stayed there are plenty of sockets for your chargers etc. it is extremely clean and tidy. And the bed is pure heaven, it is so comfortable, I had the best night sleep that I have had for a long time. Though Milo immediately claimed half of it before I had even unpacked! Speaking of him, Pat & Brian are so friendly and welcoming and really are the epitome of the perfect hosts, even so far as leaving dog treats in the room, which Milo appreciated. Brian's breakfast was absolutely delicious. And one thing that stuck out is that unlike other bed and breakfast he asks when is good for you rather than having set breakfast times. All in all it was a wonderful stay, I would highly recommend it.

Review 22:We had a lovely relaxing stay, everything was perfect! Pam and Brian were so lovely, Brian cooked us a fabulous breakfast both days, which was laid out beautifully. The bed was so comfortable, we didn't want to get up, but luckily we'd come to an agreed breakfast time, so there was no rush!

Review 23:I would highly recommend this place to stay, very accommodating, it was very clean and it had everything you needed. the breakfast was of a good quality.

Review 24:Everything from arrival to departure, onsite parking, nice comfortable en-suite room, great hosts and a terrific breakfast. Will definitely stay again and have no hesitation recommending to anyone visiting the area.

Review 25:It's a bit misleading as picture which is shown of the "OldStacks Annexe"on your website is actually the place where theowners live and not the picture of the converted garage where weactually stayed..also view from the window was appalling, brick wall andtacky old wood shed..certainly was not pointed out in the pictures..verydisappointed.. Also don't like sachets of sauces used at breakfastprefer good old sauce bottles..

Review 26:Owners Pam & Brian were a lovely couple very accommodatingcouldn't do enough for us and gave us some ideas as to where tovisit..and breakfasts were lovely.. Good place to commute from..

Review 27:I liked the fact that the room was an oasis on it's own with a little garden that you could sit privately on your own. It felt very safe for me as I was traveling alone. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone. Thank you for making me feel comfortable!! xx

Review 28:Just a little on small side for a double room. Also view out side window abit untidy. So in view of this thought slightly over priced . Also a bit close to owners living area to relax in garden.

Review 37:Nothing to dislike

Review 38:All was very good, a little small for more than 1 night. Due to it being so hot a light weight duvet would be a great option.

Review 65:nothing really

Review 66:Staff very accommodating and they were very happy to chat to us for a while, comfy bed and tea and coffee facilities were very welcome after a big days drive.

Review 67:Only down size was that the room was a little cramped. Breakfast cereals only included one kind that I liked. Mostly varieties of museli provided which I don't like.

Review 68:We were in a separate part of the hosts' accommodation and it was small but cosy. Comfy bed, wifi available and excellent tea and coffee making facilities. Chocs and biscuits as well. Small fridge. Very friendly hosts.

Review 69:The attention to detail was second to none...from the chocolates and the selection of biscuits to the dominoes and playing cards in the room. The breakfast was delicious and made all the better by the company of Cindy...who also gave us a very friendly welcome when we arrived. Pam and Brian were lovely, attentive hosts, who welcomed us into their home. A very friendly couple. We will definitely stay here again.

Review 73:Room was a little cramped, little space for gear, a bit cluttered. Charming, but bed linen could be better

Review 74:Welcoming staff, excellent breakfast. Short walk to local pub for food

Review 75:I had to leave early (although perfectly catered for with high class cereals fresh fruit and milk) and therefore missed Pams breakfast which had many fine write ups in the visitors book!

Review 76:There is not enough space to list what you like Brian & Pam are the greatest of hosts and the nicest of people -the accommodation is very clean and comfortable, nice good sized shower with plenty of hot water,The tea coffee facilities are worthy of a top class hotel and the chocolates an added treat!

Review 77:The warm welcome, the special touches on arrival, chocolates and even treats for our little dog! The comfort of the room the furnishings made the it feel really homely and WOW I could have slept day and night in such a comfy bed! Pam and Brian the owners were so friendly and accommodating. We had a relaxed morning with a delicious breakfast prearranged for 10.00am so no rushing! Great area just a short distance into the New Forest for a walk and also Mudeford for a walk along the beach.

Review 78:A very welcoming family run bed and breakfast, very quiet, and genuinely welcoming of my small dog. Very convenient for the A31, but far enough from it to be peaceful.
