Review 1：The only thing that we didn't like was the constant unpleasant smell. When we asked the staff what it was, they said it came from the sewage system of the hotel. It was impossible to spend time on the balcony.

Review 4：Village mare is an ideal getaway! If you re looking for a relaxing family holiday, it is a PERFECT place. Ideally hidden away behind olive groves, easy walk to the beach, extremely pleasant and friendly staff, delicious food, clean rooms...it provides an ideal setting to simply switch off and recharge batteries!

Review 5：We had a wonderful family vacation. The whole complex is green and beautiful. The apartment was nice, clean and comfortable. The food was delicious and with variety of choice (of primary importance for three teenagers). The beach is also very good and several other beaches are of walking distance.

Review 6：Wi-fi was beyond horrible, actually there is no wi-fi, which is uncomfortable. There is no private parking lots for the guests, only public area around the hotel. There is a fee for the beach (up to 7th sep 2015 the fee is 3€) and there is no beach bar. No variety of entertainments for adults after dinner, Poolbar does not work for all inclusive after 23:00

Review 10：The resort is rated 4*, but the room was more like 3*, while the bathroom was 2* and a big spoiler. No A/C in bedroom. Waves of sewage smell in the pool/dining area.

Review 12：The furniture was quite worn. The bathroom condition I even can't explain as there was just a curtain around the area which was supposed to be bathroom,and a shower so after taking a shower the whole bathroom got flooded. The menu in the restaurant was rather poor, and every day almost the same dishes. We had fish just once . The quality of the Internet was also quite bad, after 8 pm was almost impossible to have access to the Internet. The last thing that I would like to mention is about health and safety measures. There was an area just next to the swimming pools and the stairs which was leading to the restaurant, with a big star, where they usually run the kids club. It was rather slippery and some people fell down due to it. Need a risk assessment urgently.

Review 14：Buffet food should have been labelled to help foreign guests with short description of dishes. Wifi signal fair but quite slow at peak times. This hotel suffers from lack of activities for an all-inclusive. Other than the mini club and a basic game room there isn't really much else to do. You can only laze around the pool for a little while before you get bored. All-inclusive drinks are cheap no-name drinks whether it is alcohol or soft drinks which unfortunately is the case in most places though... A few problems in the Hotel room from not very good maintenance like a non-working bathroom fan, splashing taps etc. Aging CRT televisions that have a handful of working channels. Bad stench of waste around the bar area at night, that whoever we asked from the hotel stuff would pretend that it is not there. That smell was at times unbearable and could be from problematic pool water cleaning equipment or a nearby overgrown dry pond area. Local beach is very bad for the standards of Halkidiki so it is more worth driving to nearby beaches that are wonderfull

Review 15：All inclusive food was pretty good, what you would expect from a four star hotel with good variety and a lot of Greek cuisine. Members of stuff really nice and polite. Cleanliness ok apart from one day that they did not clean well.

Review 21：We had a reservation by booking.com but when we arrived they gave usanother room than the one that we reserved. This rooms was bigger but itwas next to the sewage facility of the Hotel with a horrible smellspreading around it during 24 hours. We asked for another room but theytold us that there is no free room in the Hotel. Than we contactedbooking.com customer service and they manage the situation within anhour when we were offer the room that we reserved. This was done by thesame person at reception desk that has refused our request. We aregrateful to the booking.com staff for the prompt reaction. The staff atreception desk does not have a good command of English beyond very basicsentences. Any request other than very basic ones is followed byignoring the guests. We need to call reception desk several times beforethey send a person to fix the light and the safe deposit box in the roomthat were broken. But the biggest problem and it seems that it is beyondrepair without serious intervention at the Hotel building is theconstant smell coming from the sewage facility of the Hotel. It ispractically ruining the whole vacation ambiance because it is everywhereat any time of the day or night, at the pools side or at your roombalcony or even in the restaurant! They charge you for the safe depositand they refused to add it to the final bill so we had to pay in cash.They charge you 3 Euro for the sun beds and an umbrella although it isHotel's beach. The Hotel is generally overcrowded with a lot offamilies with children and sometimes it is hard to find a table duringthe meals. It is not the Hotel that I would recommend to anybody. It isdefinitely not worth the money and it is not the 4 stars hotel!

Review 23：WIFI was disaster. There are 2 parts of hotel complex, we were in oder one, which was ok but not so good looking. Although we have very small kids (1 and 4 years) we didnt get room on very ground floor without stairs. There was mini club for kids, but not working between 1pm and 5pm, and this was the time when we mostly needed some entertainment for kids, when is hot and we cannot go out. There was fun for kids organized every 2nd or 3rd night for only 40min and it would be much better to have it every night.

Review 24：Hotel is close to the beach, there is road to cross but local small road with not so many cars. Beach is nice sandy beach with nice watter. Staff is very polite and helpful.

Review 25：Most of things were very good, but I think that they should improve Wi-Fi, it was pretty poor, except in the early morning and late evening. Also, there is no toilet on the beach, that could be a problem if you have small kids. The road to the beach is dusty and sometimes environment smells very bad. They should solve this, because its a hotel of four stars.

Review 31：I can't imagine how this place got 4 stars. I have been to other four star properties on Halkidiki, and this one was by far the least deserving (so its not just Greek-reality, context, etc).While overall the property has potential, the little things didn't add up. The AC was super weak. WiFi was useless - not only slow, but it made you re-login every 2 minutes, even when you were in the middle of using it. It was only sort of stable in the reception area.Finishes were ancient and in poor repair. Light fixtures in our room were missing shades (bare bulbs), the soap holder in the shower was missing, there was no light that could illuminate the closet contents when the doors were open (and blocking the light from the main room) so you literally had to use the phone flash light.Owners obviously view this as a cash cow and don't go out of their way to ensure an excellent experience for the guests.We paid for a bigger room (2 adults and 3 children) even though we were traveling with only our son to get a bit more room. We were placed in the older part of the hotel - on the other side of the property from our friends, despite having called ahead of time and requesting units close to each other. We asked to be moved, even if it is to a smaller room than the one we paid (more money) for. We even offered to pay extra if needed. The request was declined because they were out of space until after the day we left ( I find that slightly hard to believe because new people kept checking in every day so there was room turn over and it some of them would probably have liked the extra space). The AC in our unit was WAY undersized. It took 24 hrs (and a coolant recharge) until it made a dent in the heat. Then the bed broke. In the middle of the night the metal grill on which the mattress rests fell to the floor with the 2am adrenaline boosting sound like a gunshot. 4 of 8 welds were gone.

Review 32：Staff was awesome. This place would be a complete waste had it not been for the staff (except the grumpy cooks, but those I count as character). I did forget my wallet at the bar with a couple of hundred euro and it was returned. In full. I dreaded the trouble of getting a new license and credit cards... Well setup for kids. Our 6 year old and his friends loved it, especially the well appointed kid-friendly pool and the child-entertainment staff. The food (though very much college-cafeteria style) was decent, with fresh vegetables and a good variety. The on-site convenience store is very well stocked and reasonably priced. If you fancy a branded soft-drink - buy it from there rather than the bar at half the price.

Review 33：The pools have water with low glarity, the ice frape Coffee has bad taste - low quality. You pay for the umbrellas at the beach. Bad WiFi.

Review 35：Internet was very very slow, and always you have to re-enter the code over and over again. At the pool bar it smells constantly very bad. The beach is undeveloped, and there is a road between the hotel and the beach when the trucks/cars are passing through and creating dust. Drinks are not original, and after 23h you have to pay even though it is all inclusive. When you pay, you will get original drinks. Rooms are relatively OK (it depends on which apartment you will be) however the bathroom smells extremely bad always.

Review 43：No wifi (room was at the end of the resort and we had no reception). Cleaning personel's performance was below expectations (they were knocking on our door at 15:30 to ask if ok to clean; they were taking away dirty towels without leaving clean ones and never replaced shampoos etc). The space in the shower was very limited and had no shelves so you could only leave shampoos on the floor.The beach is about 150m from the hotel and you have to cross a dirt terrain to get there. You also have to pay 2 euros for sunbeds daily to a guy in the beach who doesn't even bother to clean up the beach at all. Personel was not very polite. We were given a reminder to pay 2 days before our departure! Poor airconditioning system in maisonettes, upper floor impossible to cool down. Insufficient lighting in the ground floor of the maisonette.

Review 49：the room was dirty and smelled like ashtray. the hotel is very old. the beach is dirty and there is no even cafe on it and it is next to the road. the pools were very dirty also. we had to stay 4 days but we couldnt stay more than one night.

Review 51：Beach is with rocks and stones, but at least it was not crowded. You need to pay for umbrellas. It was 2 euros per day for everybody, no matter if you are all inclusive program. Next to the beach, not so far passing cars and road… After 23PM for drinks at bar you need to pay even if you are all inclusive program. Not so good parking for cars, but staff said its not dangerous, no stealing etc...

Review 52：Don’t know where to begin, in general lines hotel was nice. We were staying 4 nights and did not get bored from food, it was fresh and you could always find something nice. Every evening there were different activities, mainly for kids (little 2 ~ 5 years) who were dancing and enjoying music. Would call this hotel – hotel for families, mainly all we were with kids. It was silent during nights, no loud beach bars etc… around.

The food and beverage was very good and the staff of restaurant and pool bar was very helpful. I liked that the apartman was cleaned every day.

Review 59：air conditioning was non existent, the beach was poor with no decent areas to swim in the sea as there were too many rocks. the room was supposed to be equipped with a kitchenette and it didnt have one, the shower room and toilet was far too cramped and there was zero water pressure. Review 109：Personnel is lazy, reeeally lazy. But that's general comment for Greece - these guys are really slow. And ignorant - two bartenders are seeing me staying at the bar waiting for them and they are not coming, just looking at me. Finally, after two minutes looking at each other one of them decided to come and ask what I want. But slooooowly with a look on his face "Now what?" The other thing is the food - it was poor. If you expect vegetables and fruits for breakfast you will be terribly wrong.

Problems with room cleaning, towels changing, poor tvoffer (no flat modern television, some channels with hazy image, justaround 20 channels, no one in English, one in German and the rest inGreek and Macedonian; take into account that almost all tourists werefrom ex Yougoslavia, Romania and Ukraine). Poor and 2 € per day wi-fiinternet! Safe box in the room is charged! Quite difficult accessbecause of poor signaling and near the beach settlement. Many stairs toclimb that is quite difficult for older people. Poor entertainmentprogramme. Since a lot of their tourists are Romanians I don't thinkis ok to retain all of their passports at the reception for the entireperiod of stay.

Breakfast is very bad every day as well as lunch.On the beach you can not change and there is no toilet and paved road tothe beach. Deckchairs costs 2 € also have to pay extra if you wantwater, Coke and Fanta, slightly better coffee. What they provide is verypoor quality. It is a poor range and you have to pay. Hygiene is verypoor, dirty tables to clean, lint-free water, I followed to clean tablesall tables and glasses sucks nowhere tablecloth. The pool is not at allclear in the evening. It says that the hotel but not a hotel MareVillage Bungalow Park than 2 star.The maids cleaned rooms very poor, nohe is not looking under the bed, a bath under a shower overwritten,nothing at all. It's amazing ... and something else (Do not let goaunt to book holidays).
