Review 1：- unfriendly staff. - I was in a room with view on a roof and walls. - overpriced for Valenciennes.

Review 3：The ventilation in the room could be a better; opening the window for this in the night is not a good option since then you get the noise from the streets.

Review 5：The hotel offers free wifi but my room #105, had extremely bad connection and could connect neither iPad nor iPhone. Therefore I had to sit at the lobby or stand at the corridor of 1st floor.

Review 7：1. I don't like it, if a hotel doesn't have to offer you a city-map. For the hotel it would be easy to get some hundred copies (at the tourism office in the "Spanish House"), whereas for the tourist it's a lot of effort and loss of time to get one. 2. One of the (male) receptionists was quite unwilling to give (or provide) informations about travelling facilities (e.g. how to go to the famous romano-celtic ruins of Bavay); an other (female) receptionist tried indeed to be helpful. 3. The price for the weekend was ok. I prolonged for one night, which was quite expensive. 4. The price for the breakfast in my opinion is highly exaggerated. 5. So my judgment of this house is ambivalent. At the conditions of a special offer I would go there an other time, otherwise I would rather try some other locations.

Review 38：The hotel was excellent throughout with very good staff. I last stayed at this hotel in 2008 and since then it was obvious it had been redecorated throughout to a very high standard. I will diffidently be staying at this hotel for my business trips again and again.

Review 39：Hard bed ,double size too small for 2 people in hot weather with very uncomfortable pillows. Lack of airconditioning and noisy with windows open. and ventilation in bathroom appeared to be non existant.

And so I would not do itagain; essentially there's nothing wrong with it, but nothing to justifyeither 85 Euro per night , nor 13.50 Euros per head for a buffetbreakfast.Once you're passed the beautiful front walls, and thereception; the first hint is the lift... Outdated commands and clearlyretrofitted makes up for a tiny and slow lift... Then comes the openingof your bedroom door, old kinda punched pvc card and then comes thetired mattress and the outdated early 80's furniture which was chippedand scratched in our bedroom. Nonetheless, still one of the best andvery few independently (Family even maybe) run Hotel around and as suchdeserves its fair chance.

Review 55：All the staff at reception was always not only willing to help but readyto help and would do everything they could to help; this is, in myhumble opinion what is keeping this place afloat like!Han's ; the attached "brasserie"; is good, but not exceptional; however, there again the kindness and "always possible" attitude of the staff saves it all like ! The bathroom was newly refurbished and was spotless, nothing to say there.

Review 56：I had booked a superior room at additional cost, there was no heating inthe bathroom the mirror in the bathroom was broken the shower did notwork properly, the wireless internet was completely useless with speedso slow that I could not even log into the company server, the room ingeneral was ok but certainly not superior.
