Review 1：Peaceful location with very easy access to Gatwick airport. Excellent food, friendly staff and a comfortable warm room created a relaxing overnight stop prior to collecting family from Gatwick.

Review 2：Double Room was very large and very comfortable with a good size TV. Cooked breakfast was very good. Nice view over a slightly wet golf course in the morning!

Review 3：15min drive from Gatwick airport, for us it was perfect as we arrived late in the evening. Fantastic place with fitness room and indoor pool. Staff was very friendly, room was great ( we had the view on the golf course), dinner there was also nice, as well as the breakfast. We will definitely come back!

Review 8：The hotel was busy preparing for Christmas parties which meant that we weren't their first focus. This didn't cause us any problems as such but there was little flexibility with things such as late checkout and we felt a little 'in the way' at times. Not really a complaint, just an observation.

Review 26：There was no restaurant although you can eat in the Golf Club Bar but it does very much feel like a clubhouse bar. There are no phones in the room so you have to walk to reception with any queries which involved a 100m walk outside. There is no room service. The breakfast was understocked and we had to ask for most things and it was a bit cold. The hair dryer in our room did not work.

Review 27：Lovely location. Really nice pool and health club. Nice rooms well decorated and comfy, clean and tidy. Staff were mostly helpful and courteous. Very reasonably priced.

Review 28：I could hear next door snoring all night and they started cutting grass out side my room at 6 in the morning. No room service. Had to wait 15 minuets to check out as no staff at reception had to call the golf shop to ask them to send some one to take my payment

Review 58：We had an awful experience trying to get an evening meal. We sat at a table and got turfed out of it because we weren't booked in as a golf or spa break deal. We were just plain old guests so had to sit on scruffy tables with a poor menu! Got a taxi to the pub instead!!

Review 74：Sadly our stay was blighted late at night by noisy neighbours who appeared to be part of a golf society who were staying at the hotel. The reception staff were extremely apologetic for this disturbance and indeed had noted the rather antisocial behaviour of two guests who were in the adjacent room to us. A small adjustment was made to our bill to compensate for this disturbance.

Review 78：no restaurant, had to eat at an upstairs golfers bar, menu really limited, ordered lasagna it came fresh from the microwave "burnt" all underneath with a way to big serving of cheese melted all over it, I took it back and they were very nice about it and I ordered something else, when the next item came it was greasy and pretty awful, the wedges were undercooked and the roll covered in orange oil, although I left most of it nobody bothered to ask if it was ok. I didn't bother with breakfast as I didn't want to eat any more of the food they were serving.

Review 80：we booked especially for the spa but it was closed for reburb. The info was right at the bottom of the booking info which we didn't see and the hotel said that we were informed on the booking confirmation but we weren't. A small refund was reluctantly given but this didn't compensate. There was no milk in our room and no info on how to call reception so after walking all the way back to reception we were told "milk should be in the room" and we were sent to the bar to find a jug. We arrived at breakfast 35mins before it finishes to find the buffet mostly cleared away and staff while pleasant didn't seem keen to get it out again as they thought that all guests had been down to breakfast, had to keep asking for items which did't make for a relaxing time.

Review 82：Arrived at 10pm to check in but the main reception was closed so we had to enter through a very rowdy bar. The barman handed us a key and waved us in the general direction of our room and no other information, my husband enquired about checking out time and was told the wrong time. After carrying our luggage in and out of several conference rooms we finally stumbled upon our room. Overall this establishment seems far more focused on golf and bar guests rather than the hotel aspect. Also disappointing that the spa facilities were unavailable.

Review 83：The room was beautiful, good size and very clean. We both had a good nights sleep. There was a free standing bath and no shower which I enjoyed, but may not be so convenient for those wanting a quick exit. We also enjoyed the full English cooked breakfast (cooked fresh to order rather than stagnating on a buffet) and watching the keen golfers from our bedroom window in the morning!

Review 84：Advertised a pool and spa but they were closed for refurbishments which was not mentioned on the website. Poor service at the bar. Poor instructions on how to get to the rooms. Asked for shower and got a "shower" over bath.

Review 100：The bed side light did not work because the wall socket was broken and dangerous and the toilet seat was held on by just one loose screw. When I reported these in the morning when booking out I was told the hotel knew about both faults! The inexperienced kitchen staff did not know how to prepare food. They even microwaved and served hot a starter dish that was meant to cold, destroying it.

Review 102：A simple maintenance check of the room would have revealed that the bedside lamp didn't work, the batteries on the TV remote needed changing, the light above the bathroom mirror didn't work, the heating timer was not changed for several days after the clocks went forward and the room was cold in the morning, the wash-basin taps needed new washers, the shower head was covered in scale (legionella risk), the telephone didn't work.
