Reviews for Premier Inn Leamington Spa Town Centre
Review 1:You just need to understand this hotel is designed to have minimal guest staff interaction, with the self service checkin machine and no room service. But all these things are deliberate in the design of the place. Next door there is a supermarket which is handy for most things you'll need. For food plenty of restaurants across the road
Review 2:Location is amazing, if like me you need to use either the bus or train to get places, couldn't be better. The place is new, super clean, very friendly staff, exceptional value for money
Review 3:Quick check in, two very pleasant ladies behind the auto-check-in computers who quickly dealt with my pre-booking. VERY comfortable room and bed! Best night's sleep in ages
Review 4:Breakfast was a nightmare the delay at weekends due to the removal of self serve is unjust. We waited 45 mins & hour for two of the 3 day stay. I refused breakfast on the 3rd day because of this. We had asked for specific room numbers at our time of booking and told we could not have these two day before despite booking 2 months before. A member of staff knocked and cam straight into our room without waiting for a response!!! no explanation nothing could have been very embarassing.
Review 5:Staff were as helpful as they could be.
Review 6:Room was not serviced for the 4 days we stayed, staff not helpful, refused to give me a refund for breakfasts that were cancelled, noise above the room that kept us all awake all night
Review 7:Had an excellent stay here in October 2015, this stay only 2 months later was awful
Review 8:It would have been helpful to be warned that the car parking is cash payment only!
Review 9:The welcome from the lady in reception. The comfort of the room was good.
Review 10:Whilst as with all such hotels the staffing levels were light, the staff themselves were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and provided all we needed and would expect from a budget-end hotel.
Review 11:Cannot open windows in any rooms, minimum temperature on air conditioning 19 celsius and has to be controlled from receptions
Review 12:Easy to find & central to local shops
Review 13:Not being able to open a window at night
Review 14:Helpful pleasant staff. Very good location. Very comfortable but I do like to have a window open at night rather than air conditioning. This was not possible so I had no choice.
Review 15:Having to leave.
Review 16:Everything! The staff were really lovely, nothing was too much trouble. Really first class customer service. Would recommend to anyone.Fabulous.
Review 17:I have NEVER given a 10 to a hotel before, but there's always a first time. I was pleasantly surprised by the Premier and found it comfortable, centrally located, and with a wonderful staff.
Review 18:The Inn did not have staff at the front desk round the clock or even throughout the day. There was no way of contacting the front desk from the room. The breakfast was dismal.
Review 19:I liked the location and the bed was comfortable. The heating in the room was good.
Review 20:WiFi very poor. You have to pay to park. Had to ask two days running for hot drinks to be replenished. Still checking but think we may have been overcharged (via Booking.com)
Review 21:Location great. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Review 22:I like d fact the hotel is located in d heart of d town center which makes it easy to get around and it is also very close to d Leamington train station.
Review 23:The hot breakfast stuff was typically rough. Overall breakfast was adequate and lower cost than great options nearby as kids eat free.
Review 24:Staff were very friendly! Great location with walking easy to pubs restaurants, park and rail. Kids loved it and had separate beds, a pleasant surprise. Parking wasn't on site but easy to unload and park nearby.
Review 25:Staff were very welcoming and friendly at all times, breakfast was great as always, beds really comfortable and decent sized family room with everything we needed. Cheap and easy parking nearby and right in the heart of town.
Review 26:Although the beds are comfortable I just wish that Premier Inn would upgrade to bigger beds. For 1 person the bed would be amazing but for 2 adults comfort is greatly compromised especially when most adults are used to king sized or super king sized beds.
Review 27:The staff were very helpful and tge location couldn't be bettered!
Review 28:Perfect location in the centre of town, the rooms were quiet, well equipped and featured an extremely comfortable kingsize Hypnos bed[ worth staying just for that!]. The icing on the cake is that they don`t expect you to vacate the room until 12 o`clock on day of departure.Ideal for a lazy Sunday lie-in. Other than a complete lack of any kind of view from the single small window, which made the room feel a bit gloomy, the only downside I can think of is that there is no customer car parking; there is however a reasonably priced multi-story at the back [c. £4.00 for overnight parking] Not bad for a short break, but would need to be factored in for a longer stay. Also, breakfast is only available at extra cost.
Review 29:Missed the telephone as have to go down to the reception if we need anything. No room service.
Review 30:The location is superb, accessible to all the places around. Good size rooms and very comfortable.
Review 31:The usual things found in hotels were missing:- this included toiletries (apart from soap), a phone, only one hand towel and other odds and ends usually found in other hotels. This was not reflected in the price which was £95 per room. Spent the next two nights at a hotel in Halifax, huge room, all the extras, £145. Thought this was a budget hotel.
Review 32:Bed very comfortable, room very clean.
Review 33:I don't recommend the kitchen for dinner. There is no cooking chef. So, it seems that the food is pre-prepared, but still "raisonable"! If you have a car... You will need to park in a nearby park that the hotel recommends: £4 a day.
Review 34:The room was really clean and all the staff was really enjoyable. The breakfast is good and has a range of options that are standard. The bed is excellent! The location is excellent, lots of restaurants and facilities (co-op)
Review 35:I had everything I needed and a nice big room and all the staff were friendly and the location was excellent. Great breakfast - can have vurtualy anything you want and they will even cook you a "lite" fry-up.
Review 36:no telephone in room, breakfast could improve
Review 37:Great Location, Easy check in check out, very functional no fuss hotel, calm and peaceful though right in the middle of town. comfortable bed, spacious rooms
Review 38:Room was a bit stuffy even with the A/C on..as the windows wouldn't open due to safety reasons..maybe some 'secure window openers' like other hotels might help...
Review 39:Everything..!!!, especially the friendly staff, Claire Caroline and the chef Steve in 'The Kitchen' who went to great lengths and produced a fried slice for me at breakfast. Rooms were perfect, clean, tidy and spacious.
Review 40:The staff where amazing from start to finish, as my daughter was sick when we arrived and Caroline could not do enough for us, exceptional staff that made are stay so good.
Review 41:Evening menu needs to be changed, pre cooked food being cooked by receptionist.need a chef/cook. Sound of micro ding very off putting
Review 42:Staff and cleanliness was excellent
Review 43:Not very clear instruction provided about car parking. You park next door at St Peters and pay when you leave. Car park was well priced £4 for 24 hrs.
Review 44:Really lovely staff. Great central location. All very clean and comfortable.
Review 45:Arrived early, and wanted to drop our bags off. No one available for this, but eventually turned up. Returned back at 11pm, but no one around to serve us a Drink.
Review 46:The staff were very friendly and helpful. This was the second time that we stayed at this hotel and it was just as good as the first time we stayed there.
Review 47:Rather small window into "atrium" made the room a little dark.
Review 48:Location in town center, close to very reasonably priced multi-storey car park. Quiet.
Review 49:Between our party we had booked 5 rooms individually, we asked for a slightly later check out on one room as we were leaving a day earlier, and the woman i spoke to said i had to ask "over there". Before i could get "over there" she ran over to the man and said"he asked for a late check out but I told him "no" " Subsequently we had to leave a family and friends brunch early to check out. Very disappointing attitude. The lady on our check in was very friendly and helpful.
Review 50:The size of the room, quietness, bed.
Review 51:Parking is in the multi storey at the rear of the hotel, finding the entrance was a bit of a trial in the Lemington one way system.
Review 52:Typical PI, no hastle checking in, spotless, good location. Staff at check-in were extremely helpful.
Review 53:The room did not have a view. We are were on the lower or basement floor. However, it did have a window and natural light.
Review 54:Central location. Well maintained and reasonably priced. Also very friendly and helpful staff and the room itself was large. l
Review 55:Disappointed no car park attached to hotel. Public car park not to far away - when it is'nt raining !!! As two people in room, there should have been two two towels we only had one. Asked for, and received extra towel for our second night. Didn't like not being able to open window.
Review 56:Comfortable bed
Review 57:Staff, location, rooms, breakfast all were excellent. Can not fault this place was well impressed with everything. Staff so friendly and couldn't of been more helpful.
Review 58:The hotel is easy to find with parking literally across the road. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made us feel most welcome. The hotel has been newly refurbished and has that lovely brand new clean feel. Location great for resturants and shops and only a few miles to Warwick castle (the purpose of our trip)
Review 59:requested an iron to use as none in room, had to ring twice and wait three quarters of an hour for it to arrive, lack of enough large towels in the room, also room was not cleaned the next day even though we were out by half eleven so had to go to reception to ask for tea and coffee. also concerned that no windows could be opened as all locked would hate to be stuck in the room if there was a fire in the corridors
Review 60:Beds very comfortable and room very specious,
Review 61:Wasn't overly impressed with the breakfast.
Review 62:Vicinity to shops and walking distance to train station. Jephson Gardens across the road which are nice to walk around.
Review 63:Booking.com hadn't passed on the correct details to premier inn - even though I received an email confirming the booking - the information they forwarded to Premier inn wasn't the same.
Review 64:Location and extremely polite, helpful staff
Review 65:Bedroom could have done with a paint job as lots of black scuffs all over the walls...not exactly a problem though!
Review 66:Great location, easy check in '& out. Comfy bed.
Review 67:They were a bit inconsistent when making up the rooms. On both days at least one bed wasn't made.
Review 68:A centrally located hotel. Plenty of places to eat & drink within walking distance. Parking was just around the corner.
Review 69:Wife is a tad stingy as you only get 30 mins free but that is enough to check mails etc.
Review 70:A great hotel positioned just about perfectly with easy (and cheap)parking within 1 min walk. Comfy bed, nice breakfast, helpful pleasant staff.
Review 71:Not much to dislike, would have liked parking but we managed, there is free parking opposite after 6pm.
Review 72:Fab location, town centre but not at all noisy, we had an inward view room though, (ie no view) - staff were very helpful and around all the time in reception. Huge family room with a big double and 2 singles and a big bathroom, perfect with kids.
Review 73:The room was on the basement which I hated, it was dark , stuffy & claustrophobic! I couldn't have the window open, my husband is asthmatic & like the room airy! It was a nitemare putting make up on in such dingy light !
Review 74:The location is superb, for food / restaurant, it's in the centre of everything!
Review 75:No bad experience.
Review 76:No radiator in the room, how do we dry off the wet towels hence using the new ones for the morning 's shower after the night before. No one mentioned WiFi in the room.
Review 77:tv was constantly pixellated...couldnt watch anything over the 2 day stay. shame they don't have their own car park. breakfast too dear. wetherspoons 50 yards up the road are half the price
Review 78:centrally located and quiet. staff were friendly and helpful.
Review 79:Cleanliness was below expectations (carpet was not vacuumed, bed was not made properly, rubbish not cleared). Staff not particularly welcoming.
Review 80:Great location! The shower was good. The stay was more or less expected (the facilities and rooms were standard and similar to that in other locations of Premier Inn). Value for money.
Review 81:Wifi is very poor. We are in 2015 and we still have to pay for fast wifi, Come on ! That's the reason why I choose another hôtel for my last week at Leamington.
Review 82:Caroline at the reception is really nice
Review 83:The annoying elevator that chimes in a really slow boring voice "Door Closing", "Lift going down" etc etc. I took to the stairs to avoid it..
Review 84:Nice staff and room was a good size. Parking behind the hotel in a multi storey building (4 quid 24 hours). Really good breakfast place up the street called Billys and walking distance to everywhere. Really quiet room.
Review 85:I wouldn't use Booking.com again to book at Premier Inn - the booking was for a Family Room (2 adults and 2 children) but when we arrived we were told the room had only been booked for one person. The staff were very helpful and made up the room while we were out, also didn't charge us for the extra breakfast.
Review 86:Comfortable room and very helpful staff - but let down by Booking.com
Review 87:The restaurant didn't cook and serve more then 2 meals at a time. There were 6 for dinner with young and tired children, and not having booked elsewhere in the town we ended up having takeaways in our room.
Review 88:Good location in the town, quiet bedrooms, good value for money, pleasant staff.
Review 89:The receptionist didn't give us correct instructions to get to the car park that she advised us to use. Which resulted in a big detour around the one way system !
Review 90:The staff were extremely helpfull and friendly whilst still maintaining a professional attitude .car park proximity was excellent and cheap at 4 pounds for the night.
Review 91:We only had one large bathroom towel and could have done with another one. At breakfast the toaster was very slow and their was quite a queue so I didn't bother in the end. Also they had run out of bacon therefore my husband didn't bother either.
Review 92:Good location in the heart of Leamington Spa. We were greeted by friendly staff who assisted with our check-in. The room was very spacious and clean with tea and coffee facilities. There was two mirrors in the room one full length near the door and one hanging near the wardrobe with the hair drying near by.
Review 93:Cleaning staff barging into room in morning less than a second after knocking the door not good Check in technology needs sorting or you may as well have reception staff
Review 94:Nice sized room Comfortable bed Staff friendly
Review 95:We asked for quiet rooms and they gave us 2 rooms in the basement but after we complained quite a lot they moved us to the first floor.
Review 96:The breakfast was good value for money. Not great variety but all the must haves. Big, clean and quiet rooms. Helpful staff.
Review 97:No phone in the room so can't get in touch with staff. They provide a phone number to call which assumes everyone staying in the hotel has UK mobile phones.
Review 98:Overall, a pleasant stay for one night. Good location.
Review 99:The fire alarm went off during the night and I was worried about how I would get out as I have diificulty walking and cannot get down the stairs. A phone by the bed would have been reassuring as would a ground floor room. It turned out to be a false alarm and I was reassured in the morning that, had it been a real fire, I would have recieved help. To have had that ressurance during the night when the alarm was ringing would have saved me a lot of distress.
Review 100:Lovely spacious room with good disabled facilities in the bathroom. Easily accessible wardrobe and coffee/ tea facilities. Very good breakfast with friendly helpful staff. Disabled drop off right outside was very convenient.
Review 101:Beds were a tad hard, but that is a preference issue only. Not a hotel issue, but Council car park behind hotel was not staffed - Christmas holiday - and during our visit we did not consider it safe to use. Please note hotel staff were great and very helpful about finding alternative parking.
Review 102:Staff were excellent Room was great value and spacious Cleanliness Location Breakfast choice and value
Review 103:Nothing.
Review 104:The kindness of the staff, the best I ever met since I travelled in my life. Rooms where clean, spacious, and we payed little. Good position to visit Leamington town center and to reach the train station, just a 7 minutes walk. Definitely we will come again here.
Review 105:Seems to lack staff. The computer terminals to check in seem cheap even though the assistant is helpful. Still really lacks people and no real lounge space or meeting space that I could see.
Review 106:perfect location and very clean. Good price and excellent breakfast
Review 107:As with a lot of hotels, the fact that they charge for wi-fi. You already have it guys, come on, share it with your guests!
Review 108:The staff were welcoming and helpful. The location could not have been more central. Easy walking distance of the town and the station.
Review 109:having to pay for wifi when the room & breakfast costs £105. Not enough milk for 2 drinks each &you pay to call reception
Review 110:Location, easy parking at reasonable price. Friendly staff, good breakfast. Late check out time.
Review 111:Cleanliness of room, it was spotless. Housekeeping to be commended and a really comfortable bed. Thermostat easy to control as room too hot on arrival
Review 112:I stayed here with a friend for a night out in Leamington. The location was perfect, the room comfortable and quiet. Caroline on the desk was beyond helpful, she was fantastic, enthusiastic and clearly believed in the Premier Inn brand through and through.
Review 113:I cannot think of a negative.
Review 114:I liked the comfortable bed with seven hours sleep the premier inn is true to its advert. Also the quietness in the room belied the fact the room was onto main street.
Review 115:Car park is across a street and its quite a distance when you have lots of baggage. Price is ok,but you are paying for the location not the facilities. Restaurant is not great for dinner. The food is just reheated.
Review 116:Breakfast was great. Staff friendly Great location Rooms clean
Review 117:We regret not asking for an easy access room as it was very difficult climbing into the bath to shower, as we are both disabled, but we will know next time.
Review 118:Our room was comfortable, the breakfast plentiful & all the staff were very helpful & eager to please.
Review 119:Quite expensive for one night; breakfast was extra. Had to ask for a hair-dryer so didn't bother.
Review 120:Clean room, very quiet so had a good night's sleep. Staff were friendly and polite.
Review 121:Had to pay £10 extra for wifi, not a necessary supplementary charge on top of my 4-night, fairly expensive stay. I wish there were hand-held shower heads (which reach the parts that high wall-mounted ones don't!) It is disappointing that there is no room-safe, it would be a welcome feature
Review 122:Very comfortable and large bed Quiet room Friendly staff, always attentive Great location on the Parade
Review 123:Would like to be able to open a window for fresh air. The bath was very high for climbing out after shower.
Review 124:Excellent location. Comfortable beds, no noise.
Review 125:Cost of WiFi Lack of hairdryer in room which I understand is being addressed but no forewarning.....should have been a note in room.
Review 126:Location Friendliness of staff Really good breakfast
Review 127:TV too small. Only 30mins free wifi, for more you have to pay whereas you can get free wifi on a bus. Its ridiculous!
Review 128:Room reasonably big and breakfast was worth the money. Very helpful staff.
Review 129:No bar facilities just beers and ready mixed spirits and mixers in a fridge.
Review 130:We stayed in a family room and we were very pleased with the size of the room. It's much bigger than rooms at more expensive hotels that we have stayed in. The hotel was peaceful and quiet. The check in and out process was super efficient. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Review 131:No bar in the hotel
Review 132:Everything from checking in to the time we left was enhanced by the friendly and helpful staff the room for myself and two children was spotlessly clean and spacious .would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone . Breakfast was fantastic
Review 133:The was no bar so couldn't have a check lunchtime one or come back and chill with a night cap. Also the hotel wasn't full but they ran out of sausages and eggs, waited 5 mins and gave up. Shame!!
Review 134:The location was perfect. Less than a minute walk to the pub. The hotel staff were very polite and friendly.
