Review 1：It is important to keep in mind that it is a small town where not much is open after dark. Make sure you have fill your stomach for the night, before returning to the hotel. Although the chances where slim; the hotel provided us with location of a nearby pizza place to enjoy some late night dinner.

Review 2：As it was my first time in Austria; I was eager to explore. Strandhotel Margaretha is located in a beautiful location, just by the lake side. It is 10 min by foot to the town and 30 min to the neighboring towns by the boat service. The room provided us with a splendid lake side view to wake up to every morning. Mr Voger provided us with detailed itinerary of events in the town center and the towns nearby. Excellent suggestion from him for our Christmas dinner. He spend his time ensuring that we were happy and assisted us in every turn. Exceptional staff ready to help 24/7. Loved taking advantage of the free Sauna in the evening after skiing and fresh breakfast every morning. We felt at home where they understood our needs before it was asked. Although our luggage was delayed for a day; the hotel provided us with the essentials we needed to have a comfortable stay.

Review 4：We went at Christmas time and it was unreliable. Beautiful view of the lake and mountains. Spa was awesome. Breakfast was amazing. And best part was the helpful/ friendly staff. (Tracked us down a wine cork after hours and they had left!)

Review 5：Information provided on GPS coordinate was wrong and had taken us to different town. When called the staff was not helpful and insulting and did not offer help despite asking him to talk to the locals. The address on the Garmin GPS was based on full spelling of the town name. St. Wolfgang could not be found on Garmin but Sankt Wolfgang does. Since the hotel on Booking.com has provided coordinates, I never have doubt. As a result, we ended up on the remote mountain home 1 hour away from St. Wolfgang.

Review 6：we had rain when we were there and did not get to use the lake or the boats. the dinner was not so good. not the a la cart and not the fixed menu.

Review 16：We had two rooms. The carpet in one room was old and stained and could be changed. The other room was nice but extremely hot in the top floor. It os usually not as hot here but was an especially brutally hot week and the room never cooled down. Could have used a paddle board or kayak as lake amenities.

Review 24：1. Our first room, lake partial view room 115 was a bit small in size but made up for this by a large balcony and a great view of the mountain across the lake. When we were upgraded later to a larger room on 314 it was a fab size and excellent layout.

Review 25：1. The view from the room, the lakeside access and from the restaurant. 2. Superb restaurant, excellent breakfast and very good food. Dining staff are all top notch and make you comfortable. 3. Room quality is good, well designed and beautifully maintained. 4. Hotel is just out of town so easy to walk to town but far enough for the quiet and privacy 5. Lakeside access is excellent 6. Bicycles are provided if required.

Review 27：A great location in a friendly hotel. The two senior restaurant / bar staff were great, nice and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. It was lovely to be able to nip across the road to the lake for a swim / sunbathe. The village centre was close by.

Review 28：it was summer and the room is very hot! there are no air conditioning or fan. i know st wolfgang is not usually hot but come on, at least provide a fan if AC is too much.

Review 29：location is very nice, the private beach is very good. its in very close proximity to schafbergbahn (must visit if you go to wolfgangsee). and also close to public bathing area with shallow beach for younger children.

Review 34：The location is wonderful. By American standards the room was small by continental standards it was fine. My husband had some mobility issues on our trip and the hotel is not barrier free. Breakfast was wonderful!

Review 35：We only stayed for one night. The hotel is located a very short distance from the small town of St Wolfgang. Perfectly placed also for the boats which go between Stobl and St. Gilpin. Also the mountain train is so close. You have everything for a perfect break here. The hotel was so clean. Our room had a perfect view of the lake and the hotel provided furniture to sit outside on the veranda. Pure indulgence with all the bathroom towels and soap etc. We had dinner at the hotel, order the steak for two, outstanding. Good wine advice from the well trained staff. In the morning, an amazing assortment of breakfast goodies to eat. Everything clean, plates, cutlery etc. I want to return to see the Christmas festivities which look magical, well to me anyway, as I love Christmas fairs. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Review 36：At dinner after ordering a filet to be medium rare it came medium well. Tasty steak, waiter offered to replace it without any attitude. Great service. After dinner offered cordials or dessert on the house. Very proper response as I have been in the hospitality industry for many years and that was the correct way of handling it.

Review 45：The double bed was actually 2 singles pushed together. The shower head was positioned in a strange location on the side wall as opposed to the end wall. Rather pricey (but all hotels generally were due to peak season). Parking spaces were limited and therefore capacity strained.

Review 46：Cleanliness. Rooms were recently decorated and bright including the bathroom. Staff very friendly and helpful particularly the gentlemen on the front desk. Very nice view of the lake from our balcony on the 3rd floor. Free wifi. Breakfast comprehensive and very tasty.

Review 79：We had a very nice time in Strandhotel Margaretha, where we spent the first 3 days of our honeymoon. We got one of the best rooms by this reason, BIG thanks for that to the owners! The view is just amazing, the relaxing area (with wellness facilities) is very nice, especially as we had rainy weather during our whole time. The breakfast was outstanding, and not just because if the view from the restaurant but also for the variousity.The city center and bus stop is within a short walking distance if you decide not to travel there by car as we did too. Bad Ischl is really close by, and it' s worthy to visit such as Hallstatt. We definitely want to come back, hopefully with better weather.
