Reviews for Hotel Le Chat Botte
Review 1:Breakfast was rather continental, typical for a small hotel.
Review 2:Very close to the Railway station, clean and quiet area. The room was clean, wifi available in the room price, relatively friendly personnel. Claudiu, - Bucharest
Review 3:Room was a bit squishy but it was most adequate for sleeping.
Review 4:Proximity to train station, overall feel of the property, great front desk staff (24hr), excellent brekkie, clean modern room. I would stay there again.
Review 5:bed sheets was dirty and full of hair. breakfast was ok. doesn't deserve the money
Review 6:Bit noisy and the breakfast was rather expensive (but not obligatory)
Review 7:The beds were some of the most comfortable I have encountered, and the staff were exceptional.
Review 8:The moquette in the room I find not very hygienic. There is no dinner service and no lunch service. The breakfast was ok but I have seen much better in other 3 stars hotels.
Review 9:The location. The hotel is right in front of the railway station, next to the center of the town. Rooms are quite comfortable.
Review 10:Information on parking was lacking. Access to Wifi as the connecting one was not the default name. Thin curtains let street lights in. Friday night noise from nightspot in the street nearby.
Review 11:Breakfast- decent buffet. Friendly staff (helps to speak French)
Review 12:Excellent location, lots of character, very helpful staff. Good size room, even had tea and coffee making facilities which is unusual. Parking is via nearby hotel couple of streets away but secure and worked well.
Review 13:Rooms at the station side are quite noisy, if you want to sleep with the windows open, as we do. Valenciennes itself is not the most thrilling town in France. The way they ruined one side of the 'place des armes' somewhere in the sixties is an insult to your eyes. In the Sovjet Union they had more creative architects! Some nice old neighbourhoods though. I hope they turn to other architets nowadays.
Review 14:Simple. but clean and everything is there. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Review 15:They charge 11 euro/person for a modest breakfast where most places inthis price range offer for free.
Review 16:Le Chat Botte is right next to the train station in town, close toseveral restaurants and bars. The staff is very friendly andaccomodating. The rooms are very adequate, equipped with black out barsto help with light and city noise.
Review 17:Nice hotel a few steps from the train station. It looks recently renovated. Staff are very helpful and do speak English, so it's easy to communicate with them even if you do not speak a word of French. I arrived very late in the evening and my check in was very fast. I needed a place to park my car and they gently reserved a place for me in a garage just 50 meters far. My room was small but clean, with refrigerator, boiler, flat TV and a large window overlooking the beautiful square in front of the train station. Price was fair (85 Euro, breakfast not included). I would definitely stay again.
Review 18:The proprietors could not have been more helpful. The friendly welcome was much appreciated. I would have no hesitation in recommending friends to stay there.
