Reviews for Windfalls Boutique Hotel
Review 1:The only downside was the noise from the road nearby but you couldn't hear it in the room - so fine if you don't open the windows.
Review 2:The Orchid room was a very peaceful and comfortable place to unwind in, one of the best i have stayed in. The decor of Windfalls was classy and spotlessly clean and again very calming. The breakfast was delicious. I think it is great value for money when i compare with staying somewhere in Brighton for the same cost.
Review 3:We were made to feel really welcome by the owner. The facilities and furnishings were stunning but very comfortable. The hotel was a haven of calm and quiet - the whole experience was excellent.
Review 4:The only thing we think is needed is brighter lights in the bedroom and bathroom for reading and putting on/off makeup!
Review 5:Our hostess who was welcoming and couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Very comfortable beds and loved the whacky decor.
Review 6:Directions not clear and place difficult to find; We were asked if we needed anything done in the room, to which we replied "No" - only to discover that this meant that the room was not serviced for the day and bed was not made etc. I have stayed in 5 star hotels all over the globe and have NEVER had this happen before!
Review 7:Nice furnishings and good breakfast
Review 8:Beautiful, stunningly decorated, small boutique hotel run by Marguerite and her family who couldn't do enough to help with all the preparations of my daughter's wedding. They went above and beyond the call of duty! I can't thank them enough. Delicious full English breakfasts too but also with choices for all tastes. Highly recommended.
Review 9:We booked a last minute romantic night away here and it was perfect. Greeted by the lovely owner, the accommodation had a relaxing and luxurious feel. Breakfast was amazing and we felt bad we couldn't finish it all!
Review 10:Everything about it was just fabulous & owner made sure you had everything you needed ️️wonderful breakfast will definetly return next time we are in the area
Review 11:Very close to the motorway so need to keep windows closed (perfect soundproofing when closed). Blinds leak light around the edges on a bright sunny morning from very early
Review 12:Very upmarket decor and modern multi-head shower, fluffy robe and towels, high quality linens. Excellent breakfast, lots of options including freshly cooked full English or other choices, with plenty of fruit, cereals, yoghurts, etc.
Review 13:Some road noise from M23 but nothing that would disturb your sleep. Sadly no bath in the en suite but a hi spec shower instead.
Review 14:Very comfortable, very clean , high class, high quality interior decor and furnishings. Very comfortable beds and pillows, hi speed wi fi and excellent choice of breakfasts. Margarita cooks an excellent breakfast.
Review 15:The most beautiful relaxed hotel. So peaceful and welcoming, me and my partner did not want to leave. We will definitely be returning and recommending it to friends and family. Could not of asked for any more. It was our first anniversary and we couldn't have wished for anywhere better to celebrate it.
Review 16:If you want comfort and class with a personal feel that's also laid back, this is for you. The decor and furnishings are outstanding giving balance and calm throughout. Marble floors, enhanced lighting, luxury furnishing... The list goes on! All this is complemented by the welcoming and helpful manor of the owners.
Review 17:Nothing felt at home!
Review 18:The room in general. I especially enjoyed the large bathroom with shower and bath! The host was wonderful down to earth and very warm and friendly!
Review 19:Nothing
Review 20:Margarita is a fantastic host, nothing was too much trouble. Incredibly comfortable and luxury to every detail. Breakfast was the best I've had in a stay away and comfort can't be overstated. This is a very high quality luxury boutique hotel, makes staying away on business a pleasure.
Review 21:Everything,............ Margarita was very accommodating, decor was truly beautiful, food was excellent....it was amazing and we would return in an instant!
Review 22:Luxury villa at the end of a private road, Windfalls was a God-send when we made a last-minute decision to own the night before for an early flight. The property is luxurious and our bedroom suite was stunning. The last check-in is usually 10pm but the owner, Margarita, stayed open to meet us at midnight. And we were to be leaving long before breakfast starts, at 8am, so she kindly did us a bag with croissants, juice, fruit and a breakfast bar.
Review 23:Could not complain about anything.
Review 24:The attention to detail was faultless. The hotel is spotless and very comfortable. It's in a good quiet location and the owner made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was lovely too and you share the table with the other guests which was lovely as lots of conversations were taking place.
Review 25:A little noise from other occupants can be heard. The quality of the breakfast did not match the rest of the stay.
Review 26:Very smart hotel. Very well presented. Very nice welcome.
Review 27:The only thing I could comment on was that there was no shaving/make-up mirror in the bathroom with was slightly inconvenient. Otherwise marvellous.
Review 28:We loved Margarita - she was brilliant. The cleanliness was unsurpassed with fantastic decor and style. The breakfast was huge and delicious.
Review 29:Unfortunately Margarita wasn't there which from reviews is the highlight of most peoples stay. I found the communal breakfast area a little awkward especially as a solo traveller. The man helping me check in was pleasant but paying at the end seemed to be very stressful for him and made me feel uncomfortable. The wifi is also very poor, which was incredibly frustrating! Overall, I would recommend this place if you were a couple traveling & needed to be around Gatwick as Windfalls is gorgeous but in my opinion a little too pricey for the area.
Review 30:Decor was amazing, I was in the Orchid room and it was soft and comfortable. The bed was lovely & the shower very impressive. It was lovely and quiet and you wouldn't know there was anyone else staying there.
Review 31:No restaurant on-site. But they give good restaurant advices, sell bottles of wine at reasonable prices and provided all the cutlery when we took our own snacks with wine.
Review 32:It is simply a lovely place to be and to completely relax. Bed, bathroom, breakfast and sitting room are all super. We slept better than we usually do at home.
Review 33:N/A
Review 34:This little gem is simply beautiful. The deco is just like we have in our own home, the owners design ethic is simple clean lines with an accent from Thailand and the east. Karma abounds in this little hide away. For a few pounds more than the chain hotels there is simply no comparison. The breakfast was delicious, beautifully presented. We arrived very late, but the owner, who is charming waited up for us as promised. Next time we are down that way and we need somewhere to stay, I know where we will be. Fabulous.
Review 35:Nothing - it was wonderful.
Review 36:We stayed here on our wedding night before flying out from Gatwick. It was amazing - the comfiest bed I've ever slept in! Really clean and EXTREMELY luxurious room. The owner was really welcoming, even though we arrived at 9pm, and made us delicious panini type sandwiches. She'd spread rose petals over our bed - a lovely thought. Breakfast was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and if we fly from Gatwick again we'll have no hesitation in trying to get in here.
Review 37:We liked everything about this place
Review 38:This place really did match up to all the positive comments in the reviews! We'll definitely be going back.
Review 39:We had a free upgrade which was great. Breakfast was very tasty, great location for gatwick and only a £10 taxi.
Review 40:Nothing other than price was a little in the high side.
Review 41:Staff were excellent. Room and breakfast was also excellent.
Review 42:This place is absolutely amazing love the design and decor beautiful

Review 62:Everything!
Review 63:All outstanding
Review 64:Lovely spot wonderfully decorated.
Review 65:Quality of the room and attention to detail. It was very quiet and peaceful and luxurious
Review 66:Not a thing.
Review 67:Windfalls was idyllic, the room was beautiful, the food yummy, the location could not have been more convenient to the airport, even though it was near to the M23 you could not hear a thing. The grounds are lovely and I met the 6 chickens that happily supplied our eggs for a delicious breakfast. As for our host Margarite and her husband - the attention to detail was amazing even remembering I like extra water for my tea in the mornings. We could not have been happier with all that Windfalls has to offer. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Review 68:Proximity to M3 is a plus in terms of convenience, ours was an overnight stay between destinations and in that sense perfect. Although nearness to a busy Motorway has it's downside, the hotel is pretty well soundproofed and it's hardly noisier than most city hotels!
Review 69:Cleanliness and comfort Personal service and attention to detail Excellent Value for Money
Review 70:The hotel wasn't signposted off the main road but we rang the hotel for directions which we found helpful
Review 71:The decor & breakfast were excellent, spotlessly clean, warm & friendly greeting, bed was very comfortable shower was great, nice extra touches
Review 72:I Recently stayed at the Windfalls Boutique Hotel , Wow ! This little gem did not disappoint , The whole place was immaculate , The eggs Benedict for breakfast was the best I have ever had , I would thoroughly recommend this Hotel, Great Location near to East Grinstead and Gatwick. Far better than any Hotel I have stayed in , well done Margarita you have a wonderful Home .
Review 73:Windfalls is an amazingly luxurious romantic haven. Nothing is too much trouble. The room was stunning and spotless. The breakfast was delicious. It is all really well run by the lovely and hardworking Margarita.
Review 74:Difficult to think of anything we didn't like!
Review 75:Everything was perfect. Margarita could not have been more helpful or charming. We thoroughly recommend this delightful hotel.
Review 76:The room was amazing, clean, modern, peaceful, everything you could wish for. Margareta was lovely, very accommodating and wanted you to have a nice time! We had cream teas on arrival which was delicious and the full English breakfast was gorgeous. The whole house is beautifully decorated and Margareta makes you feel at home. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Review 77:Nothing negative whatsoever
Review 78:We stayed in the very comfortable and spacious Lotus room. The breakfast was absolutely fabulous and well presented. Margarita made us very welcome. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to visit castles and gardens in the area.
Review 79:The windfalls was beautiful. Exactly what we needed. The host was most welcoming and the location was easy to find. The hotel in its self is beautiful and we could have not have asked for a better room or breakfast in the morning! Definitely will recommend.
Review 80:The whole place was beautiful and the host, marcher it was lovely and extremely helpful . The breakfast was stunning ... Overall a great hotel to stay .. We'll be going back
Review 81:Shame that the M23 runs so close but the best double-glazing ever keeps the interiors perfectly quiet.
Review 82:Most beautifully designed and appointed; wonderful hosts; stunning breakfast what more can one ask?
Review 83:Nothing - it was all perfect
Review 84:Everything!!! We were upgraded on arrival and made very welcome , we felt very much at home and had a relaxing stay. The breakfast was excellent home cooked food with local jam and beautiful bread. Highly recommend this and we would of loved more than one night. Also it was very peaceful and no traffic noise was a good change from busy London! We had a car so it was easy for us to explore the area and nearby town of East Grinstead.
Review 85:Was simply amazing. We have stayed in many 4 & 5 star places and would class this as 5 star. There is such a difference between providing B&B facilities and going that extra mile and making it feel like home.
Review 86:Everything. This is an excellent boutique hotel. Made even better by the host. Even prior to our arrival, Margarita was helpful in making recommendations regarding airport transfers and local restaurants. She greeted us at the door, delivered us to a nearby inn (where we had a very fine dinner), served us a lovely breakfast and ensured that all was right with the transfer to LHR. Having noted her care and concern, the taxi driver asked if she were our daughter.
Review 87:This is a gorgeous botutique hotel, Margarita is a fabulous host and can't do enough to make you feel welcome. The hotel felt very relaxing and the ambiance created with candles and soft music made us feel we had stepped into a tranquil serenity completely unaware of our surroundings outside. The decoration of the rooms and cleanliness of the hotel is first class and my only regret is that we didn’t spend another night relaxing in the very fabulous surroundings Thank you again for one of the most relaxing and enjoyable nights sleep I have had in a hotel. We look forward to staying with you again the next time we go away.
Review 88:Well where do I Start. this place is far the best Boutique Hotel we have stay at for a long time. next to motorway M23 but don't worry you don't hear a thing. everything about this place was heaven. the rooms was wonderful will class and taste the owners was so nice made you feel like one of the family, so lovely... but the calm feeling of this house the Décor was the best, the bed was heaven. and the breakfast in the morning was so good better than must 5 star hotel's. and there dog was a angel........so please stay here and chill. I cannot stop talking about this place with my wife we are going back next year with friends
Review 89:We picked this hotel for our honeymoon night, as the reviews all saidhow friendly the owner was and how well she looked after guests. Ourexperience however, was the complete opposite. Margarita did not seempleased to see us, and we got the distinct impression that she did notwant us there. We had an early morning knock on our door, with hercomplaining that our car was blocking one of the garages and she seemedto be making an effort throughout to be unfriendly towards us.Definitely not a hotel we will be returning to.
Review 90:The room was clean and luxurious and exactly as described.
Review 91:1/I did like the decor of this Hotel. 2/ The Owner Margarita is a very friendly lady who like to help and make your stay as enjoyable as possible 3/ I did like the high tech equipment of the room and the bathroom
Review 92:I have no negative comments
Review 93:Windfalls is without doubt the best hotel/ B & B that we have ever stayed at. The restful ambiance is immediately evident as soon as you walk through the front door. Harvey the dog even has a temperament that epitomizes the calmness of the place. Our cooked breakfasts were immaculately cooked, and our room Lily, and all the communal rooms and corridors are spotlessly clean. It is the perfect oasis to briefly unwind from the stresses of life.
Review 94:Absolutely nothing.
Review 95:Margarita was an excellent hostess. After staying at other B an B's on our travels we wish that there was a Margarita at every place that we have stayed at. Windfalls was perfect. Decor was beautiful. Everything spotless.Fabulous attention to detail. Faulous shower. Breakfast beautifully cooked and presented by Margarita. No other place that we have stayed at since has matched up to Windfalls. We would highly recommend this Boutique Hotel .
Review 96:Windfalls is stunning. We stayed in the Orchid room which was lovely and had everything we could want. Breakfast was excellent as everything is cooked to order. It's ideal if you are travelling from Gatwick as it's so close, yet it is quiet and tranquil and you feel you are miles from anywhere. We will definitely stay there next time we are flying out from Gatwick.
Review 97:poor chance to find it, no signs on the road. Too close to the M5 and not very silent.
Review 98:fantastic enterieur, clean, everything perfect- breakfast a dream, a big tv, playstation, videos, fantastic en-suite- a designed dream of comfort, a charming and very friendly owner
Review 99:A very teeny tiny issue that there was no iron in the room but owner washappy for us to use her one. Some background music or radio could beplayed at breakfast time. It was awkwardly quiet.
Review 100:The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the breakfast was outstanding. The room was beautifully decorated and the shower in the bathroom was anexperience with all the extra squirty bits. High quality shampoo &conditioner. Everything was spotlessly clean. No complaints at all.
Review 101:Me and my girlfriend really liked this hotel, it was extremely clean and was beautiful. Good value for money and would defiantly stay again. The room we stayed in was stunning! Best hotel I have stayed in for a long time!
Review 102:A lovely, intimate hotel set in countryside but very close to the town. Beautiful rooms, friendly yet discreet owners. I have stayed in thousands of hotels around the world and I could not fault it.
Review 103:Bit close to motorway - although traffic noise was not as loud as I anticipated.
Review 104:Nicely maintained grounds, elegant comfortable room with good sized well appointed bathroom. Excellent breakfast.
Review 105:Heating was off when got up in morning, particularly the underfloor heating in the bathroom, which meant that the bathroom felt cold when getting up.
Review 106:Luxury of rooms
Review 107:Everything was wonderful.
Review 108:Everything was superb. Wonderful accommodation with an incredibly comfortable bed and stunning en suite. Fantastic breakfast choice and Margarita the wonderful hostess who could not do enough to ensure we had a marvellous stay. Can't wait to return.
