Reviews for Logis Les Parcs
Review 1:No facility in room to make a cup of tea. Breakfast too expensive at 13euros a head. Very noisy night-worker (for about an hour) at oyster farmopposite. Wi-fi did not work in room, though it was ok in lounge area.Nearest restaurants in Talmont.
Review 2:Location, good walking and cycling, views (from 1st floor corner room),wrap-round balcony, gourmet dinner.
Review 3:The hotel restaurant (which serves delicious food) was not open every night. The nearest other restaurants are in Jard sur Mer or Bourgenay which is about a 15 minute drive away. Otherwise it's fresh oysters only from the little local fish shops/cafes!
Review 4:The hotel Les Parcs is set in a lovely unspoilt location close to the beach - our room had a balcony with a double aspect ocean view. The room was comfortable and spacious with an excellent modern shower. So much care and thought is given to every aspect of this hotel including the simple but delicious breakfast. There is a nice outdoor pool with very comfy recliners. The staff are friendly and helpful. Top tip - cycling from Bourgenay to Sables is a really wonderful outing!
Review 5:I have the same comments as another reviewer. We arrived late as we had indicated we would. It was 2025 hrs. They had just finished cooking so we couldn't get anything to eat. We had driven non- stop from the ferry terminal at Caen in order to be there as early as possible. We had not eaten since 1230 hrs so were hungry. It took us a while to find the hotel as it was further out than we thought. When we arrived we said we did not want breakfast as we had to be somewhere else earlyish the following morning. We did ask though if there was anything we could eat that evening. The proprietor shook her head and said Non, Complait. The reception was not at all friendly we felt upon our arrival. Perhaps we English expect too much. We consoled ourselves with a bottle of wine and a bottle of water which was all we could get. The proprietor seemed more friendly when we left the next day as we got a smile which was not forthcoming the previous evening. We were asked to pay in full when we arrived but this may have been because we said we would be leaving earlyish the next day. We did however explain that we meant 0830 hrs the following morning.I am surprised Booking.com. You are usually very competitively priced. We paid €112 for room only. On their displayed price list this was the highest price for July and August. We were there in June so feel we were overcharged. The room was ok. The Wifi didn't work so we didn't get what we paid for. We couldn't get Wifi at all. All in all this was poor value and we would not stay there again.
Review 6:Corner room. The view from the room to the front although the side view was not so attractive as it overlooked the mussel beds. Fortunately we overlooked both. Large balcony.
Review 7:The bedroom was sparse and cold as was the dining room.
Review 8:The staff were warm, friendly and helpful. The food was exceptional. A great deal of care and expertise had been expended on the preparation and presentation of meals. There was imaginative use of flavours to produce memorable food.
Review 9:What a rip off! Hotel is not as described but is on the street with all of the oyster purveyors so truck noise is continuous with a street light virtually in the room. No window screens so we were attacked by fies in the daytime and mosquitoes at night. The owners act as if you are imposing on their personal space.
Review 10:over priced. It was not worth £100 a night. Breakfast at £10 pppn was way over the top (we did not take it) They seem to be exploiting their monopoly position in the area.
Review 11:Staff were pleasant, good decor, good views, nice pool (but cold!) secluded location. Clean and comfortable. Good food in the resturant.
Review 12:The breakfast was a little overpriced, but that was it.
Review 13:I love the atmosphere and the locations is perfect. Cognac is beautiful and perfectly quiet. Do the hire some bikes from Logis Les Parcs and go along the river Idyllic. The pool at Logis Les Parcs is small, but again who needs more, I love it and spent a whole day just reading my book and going for dips. Nice breakfast, if not a little overpriced. Staff is super friendly.
Review 14:Fantastic location on estuary and brilliant beaches. Very friendly owners. Excellent food. A family room would be good value. Wonderful marsh and waterside walks.
Review 15:Room very cold at night. Had to phone from outside hotel to be let in at 6pm on arrival. Beds not very comfortable. Hairdrier broken. Expensive for fairly basic room.
Review 16:Great location, good if expensive restarant.
Review 17:Beautifully positioned hotel with very friendly and helpful owners.Evening meals quite expensive, but well worth the price.
