Review 1：The breakfast was good and tasty, but could have benefited from a few additional traditional Scottish items.....black pudding, haggis,tatty scones etc.
Review 2：The rooms were modern, spotlessly clean and comfortable. I had a very good night's sleep in this hotel. The shower in my room was really powerful, it always makes me happy when this is the case!
Review 3：Staff service. Even though paid for breakfast, staff never turned up to make breakfast. When wrote complaint manager denied that breakfast was part of the booking. However, we specifically made the booking because it had breakfast as part of the deal.

Review 13：Impossible to find because the post code takes you miles away from actual location. No staff around. No atmosphere. Pre-cooked, unappetising breakfast. Stewed coffee, watery scrambled egg. Comfortable, clean room but no attention to detail eg shelving in shower cubicle, water in room. Safe in room could not be opened and according to the only member of staff on the premises had been inoperable for some time even though the owners were aware of a problem.

Review 15：I'm sure the booking was for B&B but when we arrived we were told they didn't offer breakfast at weekends although we could have a continental breakfast if we paid extra! We had problems with the wi-fi and the TV and the basin in the large disabled bathroom was tiny!

Review 27：Being a smaller hotel it doesn't have full cover for breakfast or reception but that's to be expected with a smaller hotel (this is not a criticism). The breakfast was a help yourself affair which was adequate for our needs.

Review 49：Check out was at 10am and we were requested to check out before this time, however around 9.30 when getting ready to leave the room and check out on good time I noted a receipt had been slipped under the door! They had charged my card without our say so. I didn't want to use the card I reserved my room with to pay and when I went to the desk to complain there was no one around and shutter was down so the bell couldn't be rung for assistance. Up until this point I would have happily recommended this hotel but not after this. I have never experienced this in my life unless prepaying a room myself!

Review 51：Small friendly hotel with a very busy restaurant (good sign of good food). Our room was a disabled room which had one of the best layouts for a wheel chair user, excellent wet room. Very clean and bright room. Would not hesitate to recommend.
Review 52：Size of room was spacious and very clean as was the toilet/shower. The Hotel was very quiet during the night despite being full, no traffic or street noise which assisted in quality sleep over the two nights. A lovely relaxing break with very pleasant staff.

About 2 weeks later I got a telephone call telling me the hotel was cancelling my booking; no valid reason, no real apology, just some suggestions about other hotels in the area. Conversations with local people suggested a list of reasons why it was not the best place to stay. A lucky escape by all accounts.

The fact that I had a confirmation confirming two twin rooms but when I arrived was told it was one double and single room that was booked. Don't know if the initial issue was down to booking.com as my confirmation was completely different to what the hotel had and second my issue with the hotel taking funds that I had no clue about! Avoid if you want to keep a hold of your money especially avoid if you are expecting a certain room type at a certain price as it appears that booking.com and the hotel don't display the correct prices. I was charged an extra £35 without my authority outwith the price shown on booking.com even though i had picked correct rooms. Will never book this hotel again!
