Reviews for Hôtel Bella Vista

Review 1:A few annoying wasps when having our breakfasts on the outside terrace.

Review 2:Location was very good, easy to find. Short drive into Porto. Parking onsite. Very pretty view of mountains from our room (#17). The very friendly owners who went out of their way to help us book a boat trip last minute and recommend ideas for hiking and sights to see on the next leg of our trip.

Review 3:No elevator. I bit hard because we have a lot of luggage.

Review 4:Very nice and cosy atmosphere. We enjoyed this hotel with a reminder of a small villa. Very good wifi connection and air conditioning was easy to control. We had an issus with our room and the owner was very helpful. He changed us into another very nice room immediately.

Review 5:Wi-Fi bit slow.

Review 6:Cose to Porto, beaches and restaurants, but outside the crowd.,The suite overlooking the Mountains with sea view! Staff very nice and helpful.

Review 7:The hotel said it had wifi and took Amex cards. the proprietor had posted a proforma hand adjusted notice to say neither was available through storm damage to systems. Wifi became available but not credit card access. It appeared to be at the proprietor's convenience to only be accepting cash.

Review 8:Good rooms, parking ,location away from press at port/beach. Value for money.

Review 9:Sadly at this moment in time no evening meals could be provided due to inconsiderate clients not turning up.

Review 10:The hotel is run by a young and very friendly host who has plans to keep improving the business, nothing was too much trouble for either him or his staff. Spectacular mountain scenery plus a view to the sea from some rooms and verandas. Breakfast was plentiful with full time staff on hand to serve and assist. Easy access to the beach and town of Porto with nearby restaurants, garage parking for several motorcycles plus free WiFi to round off the pleasurable experience.

Review 11:It's difficult to find much to dislike except perhaps that they 'forbid' eating in rooms but do have some room service. Also the part where the sun lounger is situated is a little shabby but we found this to be quirky and didn't mind this at all.

Review 12:Our suite was fabulous. It had a large double bed with tv and air conditioning and subdued décor. The sitting room had a sofa bed, tub chair, table and chairs and another tv, with mountain views. The bathroom was well done, bright and clean with a large shower. Outside were tables and chairs with a lounger for sun bathing. It was very comfortable and private. Breakfast was served outside and staff were always kind and friendly and very proud of their coffee (lovely and strong!). There were some great places to sit with games and books. The fig jam is lovely and worth buying a pot from reception. There is lots of parking too so no problem for hire cars... which you definitely need for this area.

Review 13:Need a car to get to the port!

Review 14:Very nice and friendly family-run place. Their breakfast was indeed fantastic. If you stay here, ask for a room with a balcony. Views are pretty awesome!

Review 15:The hotel is located up a steep hill away from the town centre requiring a 15 min walk to the main restaurant area. The room on the second floor with steep staircase was dark and shabby with a flimsy partition creating a tiny bathroom without a door and a positively creepy closet. The staff were unhelpful and the ambience of the entire property was poor.

Review 16:The free parking was useful.

Review 17:No pool

Review 18:Friendly staff

Review 19:a lot of waps during breakfast

Review 20:Air condition worked well Nice and helpful personen in the reseption

Review 21:Very nice staff, friendly, helpful and efficient. Beautiful building and location. Closing motorcycle garage.

Review 22:Great cozy hotel with a French style.

Review 23:No lift

Review 24:Nothing.

Review 25:Excellent staff, great breakfast, rooms comfortable.

Review 26:Poor sound between walls of room. You can hear conversations of other guests. The tree guys decided to chain saw a tree down right in front of hotel at 8 am- 1 pm. (Not hotel's fault, but it certainly did detract from experience)

Review 27:Great location. Frederick- owner and wife very kind and knowledgeable. Rooms very spacious.

Review 28:Very small room, WC is separeted from the bathroom, but in our room there was not any bathroom - just a corner with a shower and lavabo - even without a door (only a wall between the bad and this bath corner) There is no any insorisation - you can here everything that is happenning in your neighbors' rooms Car is a must for staying there

Review 29:Nice location close enough to the Calanches de Piana, not so far from the beaches. You can eat in the little town Porto Marina (8-10 min by foot), there is a supermarket also (5 min). Breakfast is OK, but really very expensive (12 euros) I can recommend you to visit a Bussiglia beach which is a really unique place, but in automn there is huge risque of a bad weather (we couldn't swim there, only watch)

Review 30:No restaurant or bar of note at the hotel, although are a few restaurants and bars nearby - just a short (5 mins.) walk down the road.

Review 31:Fabulous views from our balcony to the mountains ahead and the sea to our right. Very nice spacious room with separate bathroom and toilet. Excellent "Romulus" restaurant nearby - the grilled "gambas" (large prawns) were superb. We liked Porto too - nice for breakfast by the sea, and the wonderfully scenic (if sometimes terrifying!) cliff drives!

Review 32:they upgraded us honeymooners to a better room with balcony, like asked, and it was a real pleasure to wake up and have breakfast in front of Capo d'Orto. Not too noisy even if on the side of the main road, but I guess it has to do with the period of the year (we were there in June). We arrived late, and the key to get in the room was the wrong one, but as soon as they got the call, someone from the staff came quick and we were in.

Review 33:Getting to the harbour for dinner would require a vehicle

Review 34:Friendly staff, good breakfast (extra), free private garage for our motorcycles, cozy hotel cat

Review 35:The proprietor was extremely helpful. He dried our laundry when the laundromat did not work, loaned us coins for the wash. He provided an early breakfast for us before a boat trip which he had called for our reservation. We had the best service there of our 3 week trip.

Review 36:Room basic. Bed was suppose to be double but was two singles paused together that slid apart during the night.

Review 37:Position just out of Porto

Review 38:Hotel says tht we have booking with garden view terrice but what we get is two chair with one table and grren cloth all around

Review 39:Service

Review 40:Very friendly owners Very charmfull and neat rooms Breakfast OK Perfect airco Rooms very big (and large terras for upgraded rooms)
