Reviews for Pitreavie Guest House
Review 1:Beautiful guest house. Very nice and very spacious rooms. Lovely owners. Very nice touch with whisky welcome in room. Excellent breakfast. Thank you.
Review 2:Nothing bad to add.
Review 3:Liz and Jim were incredibly helpful and welcoming. We arrived on Christmas Day but they were very accommodating. Breakfast was excellent and the bed was very comfortable. Real attention to detail throughout. We will definitely stay again.
Review 4:Its in a lovely location, the hosts were very friendly and accommodating, the room was very clean, comfortable and very cute (I had the single room which was very dinky but absolutely perfect in all ways!), breakfast was lovely and value for money was great. I had a workshop for panto the morning after and it was so easy to get to from the guest house. Woke up feeling refreshed! Would definitely stay there again and would recommend to anyone needing somewhere to stay to book into this guest house. Thank you so much for having me! :)
Review 5:Nothing at all
Review 6:Fantastic couple lovely room close to both dunfirmline and Edinburgh but far enough away to be peaceful highly recommend there breakfast to
Review 7:Just a few minor things! The bathroom, basin and shower cubicle were all a little small but nice and clean. No good place to hang used towels as the fitted towel rail is a poor design. New carpets were nice but the doors had to be forced over them, making it hard work to go in and out of the room.
Review 8:Despite being close to a main road, the insulation and double glazing was really effective and we enjoyed 4 nice quiet nights as a result. A real bonus for us. Lovely small touches in the room like juice, water and a complimentary "wee dram" and a decent kettle with mugs for coffee. Very charming owners. Breakfast menu with large range of items to choose from and freshly cooked breakfasts were most enjoyable. Excellent wifi in the room.Thank you Liz and Jim for making us so welcome. We hope to come back.
Review 9:Absolutely nothing

Review 12:Jim and Liz were very welcoming and friendly. The facilities were very clean and had everything you could possibly need. And great breakfast! Very happy and if I need to stay in the area again will definitely see if there is a room avaliable!
Review 13:Warm welcome, spotlessly clean , beautifully decorated accommodation with ensuite facilities, large comfortable king size bed and delicious breakfast. What more do you need !
Review 14:Unfortunately we had the last room available at the time and happened to be their smallest. This is what they kindly told us when we checked in but adequate for our needs at this
Review 15:The couple that runs the b&b were very proud of the service they provide and did their outmost to make their guests comfortable in any way possible. The place was kept spotless
Review 16:Absolutely NOTHING!!!! Everything perfect.
Review 17:Modern, clean and excellent accommodation and excellent hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Extra touches in the room like decanter of fruit juice, bottle of water and a wee dram of whisky!!
Review 18:We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would 100% recommend it. Owners were so welcoming and friendly, it was clean and very comfortable with an absolutely fantastic breakfast. Complimentary whisky in our room was a lovely touch - never experienced anywhere else! We'd love to go back!

Review 21:Jim & Liz were fabulous. After being in Scotland for nearly 3 weeks, this was the best B&B we stayed in. The bed was so comfortable and loved the weight of the 2 duvets. Loved the little touch of having Black Current juice and Scotch in the room, even though we didn't use. Loved the space and size of the room!
Review 22:There was nothing to dislike.
Review 23:Very friendly welcome - makes you feel like family.Well appointed; comfortable bed and little extras in the room that the other B&Bs don't think of. It was slow getting away because we ended up chatting like old friends!
Review 24:We were fortunate to stay two nights at Pitreavie Guest House and what an amazing experience. The hospitality of Liz and Jim, the immaculate cleanliness, the attention to detail and level of amenitites and even the complimentary wee dram of whisky in the room. Everything was simply perfect and you really couldn't fault anything no matter how hard you tried. I can in all honesty say that Pitreavie Guest House should be considered the benchmark for B&B's. If we return to Scotland we will certainly return here.

Review 35:that you allowed me to take photos around the home as it had some great features. Ease of access and the fact that there was a car park. Very quiet room and love the small touches such as the juice and water.
Review 36:Only downside I could not turn heating down during the night.
Review 37:Frances town was Dunfermline, Fife. I loved the welcome I received when I arrived. Off road parking was fantastic. The owner carried my case upstairs. Room was just perfect for my stay. You filled in your breakfast order the night before which is a good thing. Breakfast was cooked fresh which you don t see very often in other bed and breakfast businesses. On my departure I was presented with a Christmas card. I work in the town but live in Edinburgh so it was a great location for my nightout. Would recommend it to friends and family.
Review 38:If you want to be really picky then parking was a little limited but you can park on the road, and when considered with the whole package this is insignificant.
Review 39:The hosts are extremely friendly and make you feel very welcome. The rooms are comfortable with all the necessary amenities. The breakfast was stunning both in range and quality.
Review 40:Enormous bed. Free wifi. Excellent facilities - everything you need. Good toiletries. Complimentary dram in the rooms. Cordial and water. Attentive hosts but not in your face. Perfect. Highly recommended.
