Reviews for No 33, HUNSTANTON

Review 1:I think I was expecting a slightly seedy seaside B&B. That's not what we got; the room was wonderful, decor stunning, and facilities great. Really enjoyed our stay and made a birthday treat. Local facilities excellent - would recommend the Lodge for a meal out.

Review 2:Beautiful little guest house obviously well tended and Is a result of owners who really love their business. I got the place to myself for the night, and while I thought this would be weird was lovely. Beautiful bedrooms with lovely hosts

Review 3:The room was stunning and unique and the morning staff were down to earth , attentive and made our stay even more special . It was the small touches that made us feel so welcome. Thank you

Review 4:Bedroom & bathroom / Interior design throughout / Breakfast / Friendliness of staff / Able to accommodate dogs / Parking on site

Review 5:The staff were so helpful and friendly. Rooms were brilliant ,very clean and comfortable . Breakfast first class. Loved it and will definitely come back. Thank you. Mike Staveley

Review 6:The only thing that was that the car park spaces weren't marked so when we came back one day the other guests had not parked very well and there was only room for 3 cars when there is more than enough room for 4 if everyone parks considerately.

Review 7:No 33 Hunstanton is in a good location for exploring the north Norfolk coast. The decor was very modern and clean looking with everything done to an exceptionally high standard.

Review 8:Great room with very nice walk in rain shower, separate bath tub and very comfortable king sized bed. It is in a great location just a short walk to the seaside and to the old town centre.

Review 9:The only bad is the shower was attached to the wall and it dripped constantly all night which meant we hardly got a wink of sleep ,we tried everything to stop it to no avail,so we felt drained in the morning, not refreshed.we told the staff who rang the owner who said simply they would get a Plummer in,no apology from the owner.it had been going on for a while as there was a water stain where the shower had been dripping.

Review 10:Fab decor, lovely cream tea on arrival, fab breakfast and lovely staff

Review 11:One and only drawback, noisy pipes/heating going off/on late at night and very early in the morning.

Review 12:It was a home from home with all the little extras. Food was excellent too.

Review 13:Very friendly staff, stunningly beautiful place. Everything was thought of to make a most comfortable stay. We will definitely be staying again. Breakfast was fantastic and our room had a bathroom to die for!

Review 14:Didn't actually mind at all - but the taps are on wrong in No. 4 bathroom - Once I realised hot was cold and cold was hot it was fine - dyslexic plumbers are fine with me...

Review 15:Number 33 is a truly unique property which has been lovingly restored. Little touches like a welcome message at breakfast, doillees on the orange juice right through to real linen on the table at breakfast plus top notch furnishings throughout make this place what it is. Really loved it here - hope to return soon. Thank you

Review 16:The member of staff present for breakfast wasn't the most welcoming or accommodating. However, as gluten intolerance my requirements were met above expectations.

Review 17:Location, decoration; our room was stunning! That we could also bring our dog with us

Review 18:Friendly attentive staff, fantastic breakfast. Our room was large and very comfortable, fantastic bed. Range of tea's in room, lovely bathroom with large walk in shower and seperate bath. Could not recommend highly enough.

Review 19:Small gripe. Pity the car park isn't a bit bigger - when we arrived we had to park on the street.

Review 20:Beautiful room, dog friendly, lovely staff, who couldn't do enough for you. Scrumptious high tea and delicious breakfast.

Review 21:Rooms would be better if they were sound-proofed. We could hear everything from the room above us, especially the tv!

Review 22:The location, cleanliness and breakfast was fantastic. Loved the bath in the room.

Review 23:Nothing to complain about - did exactly what it said on the tin..... and looked beautiful & stylish with it!

Review 24:This B&B was great, and had everything we needed. It was extremely well located and our room (Room 3) had a lovely balcony and was beautifully decorated. The whole place was beautiful and the breakfasts were fab. Would highly recommend..... and GOOD LUCK in 3 in a Bed!

Review 25:Everything, the room was amazing, the staff very attentive, polite, courteous. All clean and very well managed. Highly recommend... Will definitely return.

Review 26:Hard to dislike anything but couldn't find hairdryer in my room although I'm sure I could've borrowed one of id asked

Review 27:Loved all of it - great place

Review 28:Very friendly staff who went above and beyond to make our stay fantastic. Added extras such as afternoon tea on arrival and proper coffee in our room made it a very special and unique stay.

Review 29:The staff where great and looked after nothing was to much trouble. and our welcoming cream tea was a perfect way to start our weekend. Loved the room and decor.

Review 30:Nothing we didn't like

Review 31:What a beautiful place, gorgeous room with balcony and sea view, fabulous breakfast. Couldn't ask for more. So peaceful and comfortable. Will be back again

Review 32:Balcony furniture rusty and uncomfortable. Water decanters dirty/dusty - no water provided. Bath robes need replacing, dingy and stained

Review 33:Gorgeous bedroom/bathroom

Review 34:Only one fabulous sausage on the plate :)

Review 35:Beautifully decorated and well situated premises with cream tea on arrival. I took my old mother for a break with my pug dog and was given an annex to stay in which had a confined patio on the ground floor. I can't rate this place enough. We only ended up staying one night at the last minute due to illness but they didn't charge us for the other night. We are going back.

Review 36:The accident which occurred on Saturday pm when a quiet afternoon was spoiled by the screams emanating from a first floor room resulting from a faulty sash window trapping the fingers of a lady guest.

Review 37:Quality of the finishes in 33. Excellent staff. Good breakfasts. Well kept seaside town.

Review 38:Bed was quite short. People upstairs were noisy.

Review 39:Beautifully presented room, lovely colour scheme. Best choice on tea/coffee tray we have found! Breakfast was lovely, freshly cooked makes all the difference.

Review 40:The journey home :( The other Half says a hair drier would have been nice, to be fair we didn't ask, we were agog at the quality of the room and service. Wi Fi was a tad intermittent, we are really being picky here, but constructive observations can only make this venue even better than it already is :)

Review 41:Hospitality of the staff, Marie and Gemma are excellent, they are there but not there unless needed, very alert and astute. Nothing was too much trouble, real people delivering an excellent service. Well done, looking forward to sampling the other suites.... Any special deals ???? :) Cream tea to die for... Yum yum! Need to hit the diet now...alas

Review 42:Loved the decor of our lovely, large bedroom and particularly liked the bath tub situated in the room. A very comfortable stay which I would happily recommend.

Review 43:Prettiness can make life difficult. The jam pots were not perfect in terms of cleanliness and some of the crockery was chipped. I find the latter charming. Others can be silly about such things, alas.

Review 44:Just lovely. Especially the staff.

Review 45:If I had to nit pick the only thing I would change is the fan in the toilet. It was quite loud and lasted around 15 mins so if you went to the toilet at night it was a bit of a pain. That is it!

Review 46:The room was beautiful, decorated with lovely furniture and calming colours. Breakfast was delicious and staff were always very attentive. It was quite both outside and in so very relaxing.

Review 47:No bad experience at all

Review 48:fantastic room decor and had the comfort of home. Extremely clean, exceptionally friendly. Gluten free vegetarian and vegetarian catered for with great detail. Hunstanton is a great location and will definitely return. Highly recommended.

Review 49:Our room was on the ground floor with a little courtyard , the room was very elegant with comfortable beds but not a practical room, as there was no bathroom as such, getting out of the bath which was in the bedroom was visible by the houses on the opposite side of the road, so we had to keep the curtains closed making the room dark, also there was lovely patio doors but no window to open and other than having the noisy fan on made the room uncomfortable to sleep in, we found the wifi hit and miss.

Review 50:Excellent staff, breakfast was very good as was the complimentary tea and scones on arrival, location was also very good with most things in walking distance.

Review 51:Unfortunately our bacon at breakfast was green and smelt dreadful. This was brought to the staff attention but nothing was done to rectify the situation. Disappointing in a high class B and B.

Review 52:Beautiful decor, comfortable bed. Very accommodating of our 2 dogs. Staff friendly. Cream tea on arrival nice touch. I left behind a pair of earrings and these were promptly posted back to me.

Review 53:Didn't feel that room 5 had enough privacy, could benefit from some voile to dress the window.

Review 54:The beautifully furnished bedrooms and the delicious breakfast.

Review 55:Very friendly housekeeping staff made us feel welcome. Room was immaculate with luxury bathroom and nice balcony. Very convenient for beach and town centre but quiet location.

Review 56:Noices from other bedrooms smell of bed in cheap washing powder questioning amount of breakfast extra sausage even that other member of our group never had any breakfast during our stay Phones network hardly to say there is any real big difficulties to make a phone call need to in the centre of town

Review 57:Location

Review 58:WIFI was a bit weak in the room and dropped out a few times (full signal in the house).

Review 59:Great location, 2 mins walk from the town centre and the beach, fabulous rooms

Review 60:wifi intermittent

Review 61:Well equipped bath and bedroom-everything you could need from bathrobes to tea and coffee making facilities.very welcoming staff providing professional relaxing atmosphere .great breakfast:tea and scones on arrival a nice touch

Review 62:Not enough parking, and lack of information in the room about the surrounding area.

Review 63:Lovely decor, lots of nice finishing touches and thought gone into the styling. Friendly staff.

Review 64:Hunstanton bit run down. Lack of decent restaurants so meant had to drive to other locations in the evening.

Review 65:The decor, bed, monsoon shower, friendly staff and lovely breakfast. Can't fault it.

Review 66:If the parking area had bays marked out, you could get all 5 guest cars (5 rooms) parked instead of 4, but that's because people don't know the width of their cars. Not 33's problem as such, just inconsiderate drivers.

Review 67:All of it

Review 68:Friendly helpful staff the decor was the exacting standard inexpected from a lady who used to own the Hoaste very very clean laid back good food and very near the beach

Review 69:There wasn't anything not to like, but you need to be careful that your dog is quiet and well behaved as it could disturb other guests.

Review 70:The place is very nice, comfortable, tasteful decor, very clean, close to town, beach etc. Lovely cream tea on arrival, comfortable room with everything you could want, very good breakfast. Our little dog was welcome although no special provision is made, and he was not allowed in the dining room for breakfast which is understandable I suppose.

Review 71:Only downside is the parking. Not sufficient room to negotiate. I had to reverse out of the drive onto the main road. Fortunately some fellow guests assisted me.

Review 72:The comfort and facilities.

Review 73:Minor niggle but there was some noise from the room above when they were moving around, maybe they were very heavy footed, but also when running water. Not enough to put us off booking again but I think we'll try the top floor next time!

Review 74:Friendly staff great you on arrival and present you with afternoon tea which was unexpected! The property feels very recently renovated (and to a very high standard) and rooms have all the mod cons and space you could need.

Review 75:There is nothing not to like about No 33 Hunstanton. The owner & staff have really thought their service through focus on ensuring that their customers relax & enjoy their visit.

Review 76:A very warm welcome with truly friendly staff. We were offered a free cream tea on arrival, which was a lovely & welcome surprise.

Review 77:Gemma, the staff was really friendly, helpful and polite. Loved the complimentary afternoon tea on arrival especially been given the option of either having it in the room or dining area. But we opted to have it at the dining area which was cosy, clean with character. Oh, loved the hand soap too - lovely fragrance.

Review 78:Breakfast was ok nothing wrong with it i just was a bit miffed on the one sausage for a full english!

Review 79:Place was spotless,my wife owns her own cleaning company and she couldnt fault it.room was lovely towels fresh, staff brilliant, only 5 min walk away

Review 80:Had a candle in the room but no lighting facility, would have preferred the bath in a seperate bathroom rather than the bedroom. No seperate sitting room outside the bedroom ,only the dining area. Not enough space for 5 cars in the car park.

Review 81:Bed comfortable, nice supply of towels and good breakfast, staff pleasant.Nice garden.

Review 82:Some of the fittings were in need of minor maintenance. Four example hangers in the bathroom were hanging on by a screw. A window was leaking during a rain shower and water ran down the wall. However these were just minor details and would not affect my overall rating.

Review 83:Tastefully decorated and very clean. Very friendly staff.

Review 84:parking tricky, couldnt go out for a meal one night as car was blocked in so got pizza from down road.room said sea view but could just see it through the houses at a push, wouldnt stop me going back but thought sea view would be overlooking sea

Review 85:cream tea on arrival and excellent breakfast.good location and not far from sandringham.lovely room with terrace.very clean and staff good.if back in area would go back

Review 86:Hunstanton it self lacks charm but good base to visit other parts of Norfolk

Review 87:Lovely hostess (Gemma). Comfortable, relaxed luxury. Beautiful decor. Loved the bath! Cream tea on arrival nice touch. Fab breakfast.

Review 88:Design features, & colour schemes. Cream Tea on arrival was an added bonus. Special thanks to the Host's Gemma at breakfast, & her mother on arrival.

Review 89:Was in room 5 the bedroom above us were being noisy with 2 dogs keeping us awake and need to sort the parking out had to move our car.

Review 90:Friendly staff, lovely bedroom and breakfast.

Review 91:A luxurious treat for a night away. Very thoughtful and attentive! We even enjoyed complimentary afternoon tea on the balcony of our room - cannot recommend enough!

Review 92:The lady on duty on Saturday morning was rude, surly and obviously didn't want to be there (actually said to another guest that she couldn't wait for her day off). Made us feel utterly uncomfortable throughout breakfast and made it obvious she could wait for us to leave. The entire building was extremely hot and as you were not able to open any windows it came very uncomfortable at times.

Review 93:The décor was lovely and the beds were extremely comfortable.

Review 94:The shower head on the bath did leak onto the floor which went through to the kitchen setting off the fire alarm. It was just the position of the shower head but the maintenance people said they'd suggested tiles to avoid it happening numerous times.

Review 95:The room and facilities were fantastic. Breakfast was great and the furnishing was beautiful.

Review 96:Only stayed one night but we were very impressed with No33. Room was tastefully decorated and very clean. Nice touches such as proper coffee in the room and afternoon tea when we arrived were very welcome.

Review 97:That we only stayed for one night!!

Review 98:Massive free standing bath, really comfy king size bed, delicious cream tea on arrival, great selection at breakfast, staff all friendly and helpful.

Review 99:The description of 'sea view'. It was a small glimpse between sone distant houses with trees on the way. It wasn't necessary as the balcony was pleasant enough.

Review 100:Just about everything.

Review 101:There was not a welcoming atmosphere to breakfast. Quite curt, no smile. When paying the bill it was regimented with a thank you, no smile, no come again, no hope you enjoyed your stay. We've stayed in less expensive, less well decorated and made to feel far more welcome and inclined to return. Disappointing considering how much effort has been put into decor

Review 102:Style of decor, furniture exquisite, warm rooms. The afternoon cream tea was a lovely welcome

Review 103:No milk in room on arrival...and nowhere/one to get any. A little noisy with floorboards in room above.

Review 104:Sumptuous room, lovely design throughout, good quality breakfast with local products

Review 105:I've been going to Hunstanton every year since I can remember and have never found somewhere as luxurious as this to stay! Absolute perfection! Gorgeous decor in the rooms, very clean, absolutely beautiful. And breakfast was spot on with so much to choose from! Am already planning my next visit after only leaving 2 days ago :)

Review 106:We could have done with some instructions on how to operate the shower.

Review 107:Friendly welcome and cream tea on arrival was delicious. Room was spacious, clean with every facilitiy possible. The patio area was a bonus. Great for unwinding and enjoying a glass of wine as the sun went down.

Review 108:The only thing was the check in times, meant we had to change our plans slightly.

Review 109:Upper quality boutique room at a middle range price. Delicious breakfast and cream tea, added to the value. Loved the room and luxurious feel to it. Right near all the local facilities! Fab location.

Review 110:The only small negative we felt was that possibly because the owner didn't reside at the property, there was a lack of consistency with staff. During our short 2 day stay we were looked after by 5 different people, who after meeting once, we didn't get to see again. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful but it didn't make it as easy to feel at home and for relationship building.

Review 111:The decor of the b&b was so interesting and beautifully presented- a real treat to stay in. We loved the spaciousness of the bedroom and the huge walk in shower! Such high quality bathroom fittings.

Review 112:The stay was absolutely wonderful . The room was spotless and the decor was great and at a very high standard . The staff were very helpful and nice .

Review 113:NOTHING NOT TO LIKE!!!!

Review 114:Gorgeous room with patio area, friendly staff that cannot do enough for you.Breakfast was lush, lovely fresh fruit and a high quality cooked breakfast and bed was sooo comfy

Review 115:No thermostat on shower and the tap on the washbasin was loose. The room was a bit noisy due to wooden boards all through the house (conversations from downstairs carried upstairs quite clearly) but it was very quiet at night

Review 116:Lovely Staff, afternoon tea and breakfast. Room decor was very stylish and the whole place was very well presented. I would certainly stay again if in the area

Review 117:Lovely full English in the morning and beautiful decor.. would definitely recommend to friends and family. Staff were lovely and it was conveniently close to the town ♡

Review 118:Can't say there was anything not to like.

Review 119:Being a cold wet and windy weekend we appreciated the warm entrance hall and facilities. The bed was very comfortable, a good size and with quality bedding. Lots of thought had gone into making the stay as pleasurable as possible.

Review 120:We stayed in No.5 fantastic but would of loved to have been able to open a window.

Review 121:I surprised my partner with a night away and was amazed at where we stayed. We were greated with a Friendly face and served a lovely afternoon tea. The room really came with a double wow factor. Loved it :))) have raved about it all day.

Review 122:This place was amazing. Top quality, with incredible quality of furnishings, finishings & food. Brilliant breakfasts, and a free afternoon cream tea also thrown in. Incredible value for money. Staff very friendly & accommodating. I cant wait to go back & stay.

Review 123:Just a little criticism of being able to hear everything in a conversation from the kitchen in the morning as we were having our breakfast, the second housekeeper was quite loud!

Review 124:The room and bathroom were fantastic. Extremely well presented. First housekeeper was excellent, very welcoming and even gave my daughter her last painkillers as she had injured her back prior to arrival.

Review 125:Really there was nothing, but if we were going to be very picky, there was a draught in the bathroom from the extractor fan, and the cold water tap turned on the wrong way.

Review 126:The Location is excellent with plenty of places to eat within walking distance. We travelled with a dog and felt very welcome. The room was very nicely decorated to a good quality, with a very comfortable bed. There was a good supply of tea and coffee in the room. Best part was the breakfast; fresh fruit salad and a very tasty cooked breakfast, plus lots of tips on what to do in the area and where to eat. We really enjoyed our stay.

Review 127:Nothing.

Review 128:The sad death of my wife's mother curtailed our visit, but the staff were very kind and considerate. The decor is wonderful, and we will make every effort to return and complete our stay in Hunstanton.
