Reviews for Le Domaine Saint Jean

Review 1:This is an old farm remade in B&B. The owners are kind, always willing to help, with good sense of humor. I definitely want to come here one more time. This B&B is cozy, totally Provence, like at home. Thank you Eric and Thea!!

Review 2:Beautiful place, very nice family and stuff. We had great time there. It has a good location to go around in the Luberon. The 'table d'hote' was delicious, it is something no to miss.

Review 3:Peaceful rustic location great for day trips to various parts of the Luberon Thea and Eric are excellent hosts and it was almost like staying with friends The tranquility of the location was wonderful

Review 4:After we made an error in paying by BACs The owners sorted this out before we arrived and really made us very welcome. Room very clean and breakfast excellent. We were even offered food in the evening! A little gem.

Review 5:Internet/wi-fi was patchy near our room which meant we had to use wi-fi from near courtyard transmitter - not a big issue.

Review 6:Our hosts Eric and Thea were very knowledgeable in terms of local sights, activities and places to eat, and were happy to assist with reservations. Great breakfast featuring fresh pastries from a local bakery and home made condiments. Pool great for relaxing. Kitchen available.

Review 7:Access road is a bit rough but ok with care. Road end could be better marked. An online credit card payment system would be helpful.

Review 8:Peaceful and beautiful setting in characterful old farmhouse surrounded by productive fields. Informal atmosphere but well organised. Friendly and helpful owners. Splendid breakfasts using local and homemade produce. Good pool. Excellent base for exploring the lovely countryside and small villages of the Luberon. French and English spoken.

Review 9:Difficult to find unless you follow the instructions provided very carefully. A sign outside the gate might help. Low slung cars might ground on the cart track driveway. Acceptance of credit cards would facilitate payment.

Review 10:Above all the warm hospitality - gluten free clafoutis specially prepared for me at breakfast - advice about restaurants and places to visit in Provence - an evening meal if we didn't want to dine out. The Domaine is ideally situated to visit the surrounding towns and villages of Provence.

Review 11:It was a bit hard to find. Our first impression (driving up) did not do it justice. Would have been nice to be able to pay with credit card vs. having to come up with cash.

Review 12:Our family suite was perfect for us...two bedrooms (one with twin beds for our teenage sons) and a nice updated bathroom. We stayed three nights. Eric and Thea could not have been nicer, and Mara was wonderful. Breakfasts were yummy with fabulous homemade preserves and fresh eggs. Also nice that we could go down to breakfast whenever we wanted (we're not early risers!) Pool area with views just right for hot afternoon relaxation. Great location to visit surrounding towns. Thea was full of helpful recommendations -- everything from restaurants to attractions. They offered a great game room/bar area to hang out in which would be perfect for rainy days or family reunions (which we did not have). Downstairs kitchen available to our suite -- perfect for families wanting to fix their own meals (we didn't use it, though).

Review 13:The kindness and helpfulness of the owners Eric and Theo and Staff

Review 14:Off the beaten track... Charming renovated/restored Provencal farmhouse. Very relaxed vibe

Review 15:The casual friendliness and home from home atmosphere.

Review 16:Our room had no wifi

Review 17:The overall ambience, good breakfast and the friendly hosts and staff.

Review 18:A little difficult to find but we could manage. The hotel sign is too small.

Review 19:Very friendly place, the owners are very helpful

Review 20:It was a Nice B&B place in the country side. Mara (the girl working in the place) was very nice and super helpful. The place is simple and authentic. Big house with 6 rooms with pool, garden and fruit trees around. They had Wonderful cherry trees and swimming pool. The room was rustic without door to separate the bathroom, do not expect a hotel room, but it was clean and fine. We had dinner in the place for 30 euros person, where you had to interact with other guests, pity the language issue since other couple only spoke french...breakfast was served outside in a big table with other guests. Homemade jam and nice breads, orange juice and coffee...nice and complete breakfast...we liked and enjoyed our stay.

Review 21:Nothing!

Review 22:We loved everything about our stay! The hosts couldn't have been more kind and hospitable. They are incredibly knowledgable about the area and have created a binder of every piece of information you could possibly need regarding the area, sites, recommendations for food and drinks and general info about your stay. We had so much fun driving around the countryside, seeing all the little villages and visiting markets along the way. Le Domaine St Jean is an absolutely stunning place to visit and enjoy. We were overwhelmed by the natural beauty of the area and the peacefulness we felt there. The rooms were charming and lovely with a comfortable bed and newly renovated bathrooms but still maintaing an old world rustic feeling. The breakfast was phenomenal every morning. Sitting out by the pool, overlooking the cherry trees and vineyards, having coffee with croissants and jam is one of the best memories I have in my life. I can't express enough what an amazing experience it was for us to stay here. Truly a fantasy come true. We can't wait to go back.

Review 23:No sign to.let you know you are there,

Review 24:Right in the heart of Provence, easy access to many villages. They had a wonderful view and a lovely pool. The owners were terrific, helpful and accomodating.

Review 25:Finding the place was a little difficult but this also comes as an advantage thereafter (a hidden peaceful little paradise)

Review 26:Breakfast was excellent and generous with fresh, home made and from the region products. And breakfast is served in the garden on a big community table that creates a friendly atmosphere. While the rooms have a charming countryside touch, there is no compromise on comfort and cleanness. Owners are very friendly and there is a family feeling that makes the place very friendly.

Review 27:A little hard to find at first.

Review 28:The hosts are great and very helpful with where to eat and what to see in the area. We loved the way they've renovated the old buildings. The location is tranquil and relaxing. This was a great place to stay and quite good for exploring the area by car.

Review 29:Nothing really, i'd recommend bringing a car otherwise it'd be difficult getting around as the B & B's outside of town.

Review 30:Thea and Eric were fantastic hosts, very welcoming and the food Thea cooked for us was amazing! I'd definitely recommend eating at the B & B and trying out their local cuisine rather than going out to a restaurant. The setting is also very picturesque, the rooms have been done nicely and theres a lovely pool where you can relax. All in all we had a great stay!
