Reviews for Airdeny Chalets

Review 1:No internet 99% of the time . We had to pay for electricity although it was not mentioned to us anywhere during booking . Not easy to reach

Review 2:The owner were a friendly and a helpful person .

Review 3:We had a spacious with cabin with two rooms, living room, and kitchen. They had board games and movies you could check out during your stay. There are some nice hikes and scenery nearby.

Review 4:Nothing worth mentioning

Review 5:We enjoyed the fantastically equiped Chalet, the scenery and the extremely friendly and helpful owner Jen Moffat. She really helped us when we ran into some trouble and we won't ever forget that.

Review 6:Chalet was in desperate need of upgrade, not very clean, TV controls dirty, filthy bedding on one of the single beds, broken coffee table, totally un insulated and was freezing! No additional bedding for warmth during the night, windows allowed a gale through. Charges for hire of towels, when linen was included - not clearly stated in literature. Charged for electric, with expensive heating system used through out. Definitely not value for money, in comparison to others in area.

Review 7:Location lovely, owners welcome with additional home made ginger loaf.

Review 8:Electricity was not included in the accommodation charges, but this was not disclosed until after you had already paid a non-refundable deposit. Being a wooden chalet, heating was definitely essential in December. Electricity for heating, cooking and lighting was charged at the end of the stay. Water heater was broken on arrival so we had no hot water for the first 1 1/2 days!

Review 9:Beautiful location Adequately furnished and equipt chalet. Informative, interesting information book. Probably great in summer season! Close to Oban and Hebrides Islands They recycle 10/10 for this point. Great collection of DVDs and books and brochures of local area

Review 10:the wifi wasn't great but it wasn't a big deal to be honest

Review 11:The owners were very friendly and the Chalet was great. Me and my girlfriend stayed with our two dogs over New Year and we loved it. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great so didn't walk as much as we'd have liked to. As it was cold we had the heating on a good proportion of the time but wasn't expensive at all at the end of our stay. Great place, would definitely recommend.

Review 12:Nothing.

Review 13:We were surprised to find a cake and a Christmas tree, thank you for that. The kitchen is full with useful equipment (even a kitchen weighing scale). There is a lot of space in the house. Also the area the house is in is really clean and beautiful.

Review 14:Oven wasn't working properly. The dryer in the laundry didn't work at all.

Review 15:A lovely cake on entering. Lovely location ( but further away from Oban than we expected). Clean and very basic.

Review 16:- awful smell in chalet when we arrived, after purchasing scented candles and spraying fabreze we finally got rid of it. Then when we were leaving we cleaned up and started hoovering and then we realised what was leaving such an awful smell - the hoover and filters smells bad and needs to be cleaned. - lounge seating area very uncomfortable - hard to find when arriving in the evening in the dark - would help if a solar powered light was fitted at the name at front gate Airdeny chalets for ease of finding them. - mattress was old - time for a new one

Review 17:Friendly well kept grounds pet friendly kitchen well equipped clean the cake on arrival

Review 18:The chalet slightly lacked character and it seemed unreasonable to charge extra for electricity although it was expected.

Review 19:Very lovely place to stay with nearby walks, wildlife and home location to visit attractions. The chalet was warm and very comfortable. A great holiday.

Review 20:Comfortable and peaceful, great.

Review 21:-

Review 22:Excellent location, beautiful scenery, great chalet. Very clean anc well equipped

Review 23:Not applicable

Review 24:Location was great, chalet was what we expected as a family group, everything we wanted/needed was provided.

Review 25:The tasteful fruit loaf left out for arrival.

Review 26:great location, nice chalets, nothing fancy but fairly spacious, clean, pleasant.

Review 27:Exceptional location, great chalets. We were very pleased. WiFi almost non-existent, but I don't need it in such a place anyway!

Review 28:Nothing

Review 29:Very tranquil spot! Good location for visiting highland region.

Review 30:Not being able to connect with WiFi

Review 31:Loved the home baking that was left for us

Review 32:We struggled with the WiFi.

Review 33:We had everything we needed.

Review 34:wifi very slow

Review 35:scenery, accommodation, staff, morning views, close to amenities

Review 36:beautiful place scenery stunning

Review 37:Barbecue pits

Review 38:Last minute stay couldn't have picked any better friendly host lovely views

Review 39:Shower a bit slow but probably due to local water supply.

Review 40:Lovely site. Quiet and restful location. Very clean and well equipped.

Review 41:We were not expecting to pay for electricity, as did not see this mentioned on the web page, however we were fortunate to have a week of reasonably good weather, so did not need to use heating very much.

Review 42:Lovely quiet location with fantastic views and short car drive to Oban (for early ferries) and other points of interest. Chalet was well furnished and equipped and had all that we required including car parking alongside.

Review 43:Beautiful scenery and location in a friendly and quaint village. Impeccably clean and very friendly owner. Great for families, couples and those with active dogs as plenty of space for activities and lovely walks close by.

Review 44:The chalet was cold (it was February) so needed the heating on quite a bit which costs 13p a unit. I thought it was quite reasonable until I paid the bill (and bear in mind we were out all day, I did no cooking in the chalet and didnt heat the water up for showers because it didnt work) - 5 nights and 4 days came to £22. So a family staying a full week with cooking and showers will soon add a considerable amount to the bill.

Review 45:Property was clean and well equipped. Shower didn't work (so showered at a friends close by) but had I mentioned it before checkout the lady said she would have sorted it, and she was genuinely concerned! I didn't mention it because I knew that she had had a family crisis. There was a lot of interesting information on the local area in the chalet had I needed it. It was in a nice quiet location away from the main road with beautiful views. All in all, it was as advertised :-)

Review 46:Comfortable home-from-home in an attractive rural setting.

Review 47:Location and quitness excellent

Review 48:Jennifer pays great attention to detail and provides excellent value, to accommodate guests comfortably, in a wonderful location.

Review 49:Very good location and beautiful place.
