Reviews for Premier Inn Manchester Airport Runger Lane North

Review 1:The coffee/snack bar closed at 2pm and the bar and restaurant was not open until after 5pm. We had traveled a long way and expected to pick up a snack when we arrived. The sandwiches were sat in the chiller but we couldn't buy them??? the staff was still there but couldn't serve us??? The window in our room was very drafty and made the room cold. I had rang before asking regarding the taxi prices and wasn't informed that they would be more as it was New Years Day.

Review 2:It was near the airport and there was a good pub down the road, Romper. The staff was good at organising taxis for us.

Review 3:No ice maker or fridge in room Bar did not open until 3 pm I had no phone in my room

Review 4:Friendly staff Bar Food menu and pricing was good Soap in bathrooms Vending machines with drinks and snacks Coffee shop and pastries I booked 3 family rooms, which we were all together, which was great

Review 5:Some noise problems from other guests.

Review 6:A lovely large hotel. We've stayed in a number of Premier Inns in the past and this beats the others on size and facilities. Unfortunately for us we endured some noisy guests in the room above us but a young man who runs the restaurant dealt with our concerns very professionally and fairly. We were very happy with the outcome courtesy of this young man by the name of Jaun or Yan ( I appologise for probable spelling error) but needless to say he is an asset to the Premier Inn and dealt with our complaint speedily and efficiently.

Review 7:Reception staff not friendly - very matter of fact. Was told i couldn't pay cash on arrival - then I could after i told them its all i had ! Food was not great - i had ribs for starter - more meat on a sparrows knee cap! breakfast - eggs swimming in oil & overcooked. hash browns overcooked & dry.

Review 8:The bar man was exceptionally friendly & chatty - made me feel very welcome.

Review 9:Staff didn't fully describe options re food and costs, felt like I'd been done over, as wasn't told meal deal included breakfast. So ended up costing more

Review 10:Room layout, comfy beds and the breakfasts are great.

Review 11:Poor location for an airport hotel without clear directions or signposting to get there from the motorway. No wake up call service. Given wrong instructions about taxi pick up. Cheerless room

Review 12:No complaints.

Review 13:Very quiet, very comfortable bed, convenient for an overnight stay at the airport (though not really walkable). Quad room small but very good value for families.

Review 14:Children running up and down corridor shouting and screaming late evening and early morning. No chance to get drink of orange early am (shop not open).

Review 15:My room was above the entrance & although I was on 4th floor, the fumes from the smokers area wafted up through my window. The bathroom had stains in the shower. They insisted on asking for my nationality; they could not explain why & when I told them there would be nothing to stop me lying, they had no response. Bizarre service at breakfast - the waitress insisted on showing every guest every aspect of the buffet breakfast which meant there was a huge queue - tick box customer service!

Review 16:It was convenient for what I wanted

Review 17:I was not told there was a hotel transfer to the airport at half the cost of a taxi. I found this out by accident in the morning before my taxi arrived. If this was on your site, I would not have looked at other hotels. This is a very important selling point for me. Also, I could not get porridge made without being microwaved which is not good for a hotel.

Review 18:The comfort of the bed.

Review 19:Didn't like that the cash point charged a fee in the hotel, very bad policy for the hospitality industry.

Review 20:Very attentive and professional staff, from check in staff, front desk staff, and the restaurant staff who were particularly on point, Andre our waiter was fantastic. And the maître d' (can't remember his name, possibly had a British and Ghanian flag on his name badge) was also very good, very professional and friendly and helpful. The restaurant staff for breakfast were also very accommodating and friendly.

Review 21:Too far from airport, had a £7 taxi bill before i even got to hotel, missed the free breakfast which didn't start till 6.30 had to be at airport by then,

Review 22:Comfortable room.

Review 23:We felt that the cost should have included transfer to airport as we stayed at Bewleys (now Claytons) earlier in the year and airport transfer was included and the hotel cost was less

Review 24:Convenience to airport excellent restaurant friendly and helpful staff cleanliness

Review 25:The bar is not open very late in the evening. The Holiday Inn Express next door was. Extra charge for parking GBP5

Review 26:No surprise. Matches the Premier Inn standards. Breakfast is very good value for money.

Review 27:We did not understand why a reservation was needed for dinner at the hotel restaurant. We had to wait an hour to be seated. This was odd

Review 28:Quick check-in. Friendly staff.

Review 29:The location of the hotel was brilliant, only 5 mins away from the airport. Plus my kids loved the fact they could see the planes landing from our room. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was lovely. Plenty of choice and the rooms were clean and had everything you needed.

Review 30:Could not turn TV louder and service was not that good at the check in desk. Restaurant service very slow but the coffee area was very accommodating when it was open

Review 31:Size of the room.

Review 32:Friendly staff , very helpful Rooms clean & comfortable, bed was massive & had a good nights rest , was not aware of any noise , which being so close to airport was surprising. Enjoyed breakfast facility , Overal great value !

Review 33:Staff very abrupt. The hotel staff took priority on the lift although we had baggage and had to ealk down the stairs as he had a basket of washing. Receptionist could not be bothered to answer questions s wen checking out of the hotel. And think it disgusting charging for parking at your hotel were we are staying. I will not stay here ever again

Review 34:We arrived at hotel after long journey with two small, very tired children. Our booking came up on Premier Inn Receptions screen as single adult and 2 kids. Our confirmation email confirmed it was for 2 adults and 2 kids with breakfast, which i had booked and paid for. Staff did not mention how many occupants they had on screen to us and sent us to our room which had only a double bed in it. There was a sofa which wasn't made up, nor was there any bedding. I called reception who told us to come back down stairs to sort it out !! (very frustrating). We went back down and spent another 10 minutes trying to prove we had booked for 4 and breakfast. Eventually we were given a double bed room with two singles. When we went down for breakfast in the morning we were stopped at the restaurant desk and told we had to pay for another 3 people as we had only paid for one. This was very embarassing as the restaurant was busy at the time. I had to go back to the reception and prove i had paid.

Review 35:Did not like having to pay £5 a night for parking the car. Was not told this at the time of booking. Also no tv in the bar area. Would have sat in the bar for a drink if there had been one to watch the football.

Review 36:Location to airport ideal and usual great comfort from Premier Inn standards.

Review 37:Didn't like that I clearly suggested at the time of booking expected check in and out times but confirmation suggested unacceptable check in times. Emailed to query check in time etc and received no response. Then had to eventually call to find out I needed to effectively book the day before. This wasn't a problem however the price nearly doubled. if this had been clear at booking time the same price had been available initially but hiked by the time I was advised I needed to change it.

Review 38:Couldn't sleep, people running around corridors, shouting in the early hours! Not happy with that at all! The toilet wasn't very clean either. We'll be putting in a complaint when we come home from honeymoon

Review 39:Close to the airport, and delighted to have a costa on site

Review 40:The room had a terrible smell and the restaurant closed early, a hotel situated as close to the airport as this should expect customers arriving at all time & many of these customers will have, due to the location of the hotel, traveled quite a distance and could be hungry

Review 41:The location was ideal to get to Terminal 2

Review 42:Costa coffee machine wasn't working properly, so didn't have a decent coffee with breakfast. But other than that, lovely stay. Highly recommend

Review 43:Was furious to arrive at the Airport only to find that there was no shuttle service to the hotel. I ended up in a black cab which cost £11. Next morning, we booked a private taxi which was cheaper at £6. But still, it turned a "convenient" airport hotel into a more expensive and inconvenient one.

Review 44:We had a work with them they said the had no room left we counld have gone 8 miles to another but we would have to paid extal 120 pound i dont thing so

Review 45:We have stop at a lot of you premier but this was not at all goodcat all we are not diasble we didnt need a low down bed or wash sink but the best think was you put the tv up at the top so they could not reach if the person waa in a wheelchair

Review 46:Bar area needed cleaning - dirty glasses left around and tables needed wiping

Review 47:Efficient receptionist. Convenient for the airport for our early morning flight. We didn't have breakfast

Review 48:Nothing

Review 49:This is a relatively new modern hotel. Nice rooms and good restaurant, but make sure you book when you check in. Not within walking distance of airport ,but good taxi service available. Hotel will pre order taxi for you at set charge.

Review 50:Check in system some of us wanted to pay cash and card as were booked together but wanted to pay separate

Review 51:You had a bar and let us order pizza to our rooms!

Review 52:Was given a disabled room right next to like. When I asked to be moved the member of staff said it was my own fault as that's what I booked. I didn't as I wouldn't have booked a disabled room as I don't like wet rooms.

Review 53:Location and pruce

Review 54:Got a room with a shower and no bathtub. Asked to change but hotel was full. There was a charge for the shuttle.

Review 55:Nice room, friendly check in staff person. Nice bar and restaurant. Food and drinks were great!

Review 56:Reception were fantastic, helping with travel and arranging our room with 2 cots and assisting with our luggage. Even the lovely house keepers helped get us to the lift with the luggage and the babies on the way out. Such good value for money and only £7 in a taxi to the airport. Very comfortable rooms/bed and great shower. The family room was big enough for a double, a single and 2 cots.

Review 57:Check-in was extremely slow, one check in staff on duty and a queue behind us - we waited over 10 minutes to check-in which we felt was unacceptable.

Review 58:Close to Manchester airport, big rooms, clean

Review 59:No food after 22.00 bar shuts @ 23.00 there is a takeaway delivery buthad aready grabbed a roll @ Schipol so went to Joe's at Terminal 1 nxt morning.

Review 60:Taxi was under a tenner (£5.60) No 19/18 Arriva from 2oo yds on Avro Drive back A/port was £1.60

Review 61:Reception staff ignored me when I tried to book in was rude and argumentative I had to call the manager over and I made a complaint about the receptionist

Review 62:Convenient location

Review 63:No room service after 10pm - restaurant closes Bar closes early too. No mention of these things on the website which also shows a premium rate phone number even though there is a regular number available via google. Not that anyone answered the phone after 3 attempts! Shuttle was late - 15 mins late on a 7 minute journey at 5:30am - wouldn't have thought it possible.

Review 64:Nice rooms, comfortable bed, value pricing

Review 65:For the 1st time I found the check in girl to be unhelpful. I thought she made things complicated and almost barked orders at us

Review 66:Like every premier inn I have stayed in I love the comfort, the food and the overall facilities and vibe of a premier inn. I would always choose a premier inn over any other hotels

Review 67:Room not quiet asrequested as over entrance and next to lifts. Adult channels too high up on preference list on TV not good if kids present!

Review 68:Price. Pizza. Bed. Location.

Review 69:The bed was collapsed in the middle and you rolled into it, it made a noise every time someone moved and when we said this to the receptionist in the morning all they said was sorry. It was our understanding that you guarantee a good nights sleep and it's the worst stay we have had in a premier inn and we use them often. We stayed in room 125 on Wednesday 9th September

Review 70:Easy access to airport

Review 71:Although breakfast was included in the price, I feel 6.30 is a late start for a airport hotel. We had to be at the airport at 6.45, so had to miss the breakfast

Review 72:Friendly and helpful staff

Review 73:It is close to the airport and with the cheap and efficient shuttle service it only took a few minutes to get there. The room was very quiet and the bed fantastic!

Review 74:Door key didn't work at first - hard work going up and down to reception with luggage as a solo traveller to solve the problem.

Review 75:Very comfortable bed. Nice breakfast choices for the continental option. helpful and pleasant staff.

Review 76:Everything in this hotel seemed to work "just right" and the staff were very helpful and courteous (especially the cook at the cooked breakfast section; he is a credit to you company).

Review 77:Very noisy during night suspect ventilation fan, sounded like a road sweeper outside. Would of put a claim in but abroad for the week following.

Review 78:Beautiful room.

Review 79:the breakfast area could have been a better experience but the staff member stood around in our space talking loudly and too long to another person about her personal stuff.

Review 80:i liked the efficiency & friendliness & helpfullness of the Polish staff member on the reception

Review 81:The staff helped with every question and friendly. The lady should get a massive pat on the back. The beds are the best ever, due to my travveling times I didn't get to use other facilities other than the bathroom but the most important factors were of high quality.

Review 82:the fact I phoned hotel to book for a meal and told I didn't need to when I arrived I was told I would have to wait two hours for a table.... not impressed.... the staff were extremely rude

Review 83:location

Review 84:No toiletries in the bathroom, breakfast wasn't the best. Quality of sausages and bacon not great. Didn't realise it would cost £10 each way in a taxi.

Review 85:Staff were friendly.

Review 86:To say it was meant to be a hotel near to the airport it was still far enough away for the taxi cab to charge £12 from the train station. Next time I will pre book with a local taxi company which charges half that rate. Seemt a bit odd that two Premier Inns were across from each other.

Review 87:The rooms were very comfortable, quiet and well air-conditioned

Review 88:The restaurant was not big enough and you had to wait over an hour for a table. Staff were very slow and some not sure of what they were doing.

Review 89:Closeness to the Airport

Review 90:We were travelling by train from doncaster to Manchester airport. I was expecting to find a bus service which dropped off outside the hotel. The stop was no where near and although the driver dropped us off as near as he could, it was still a struggle on foot crossing busy roads with luggage and in the rain. Car users would have no problem.

Review 91:We just stayed one night prior to flying from Manchester airport early the following morning. Tried the self serve check in and was very impressed. Also had a fabulous evening meal served by very pleasant staff.

Review 92:No laundry facilities

Review 93:The hotel was great a bit far out from Manchester. The car from the hotel to the city centre cost 30 pounds($60:00). The driver was very good. The taxi bock to the hotel cost 25 pounds ($50:00). The meal in the restaurant was great and the staff very helpful and courteous.

Review 94:I feel that vegetarian foods could be displayed at breakfast, not having to wait to see what is the standard on offer.

Review 95:Reasonable price for very clean and good size rooms.

Review 96:Stayed here for early flight at airport. Very good if you can get a good price. Better than the other Premier Inn as no traffic noise from M56. Good restaurant and £6 cab ride to airport which took 5 mins.

Review 97:Wifi ultimate didn't work, I got refunded but it was a lot if hassle. Also thought charging for the carpark was a bit of a cheek as hotel was located miles out of the city with acres of parking space.

Review 98:The.bed was very comfortable and spacious. Slept really well both nights.

Review 99:The restaurant and bar very over priced, we paid more for our food than for the hotel room!

Review 100:The comfort of the beds, the room clean and what you would expect. Location ideal for airport location, staff are very friendly and welcoming, fantastic with children.

Review 101:The service of breakfast appalling I asked for a poached egg it never came no mushrooms ran out when I asked no tomatoes no beans coffee machine not working thought it was gonna blow up the worst we have stayed in and stay at plenty of premier inns

Review 102:It was convenient when we got off the plane late that night

Review 103:Everyone very helpful land pleasant except one member of staff serving breakfast she appeared to be miserable!

Review 104:Good overall standard great selection at breakfast

Review 105:On our first night we had a room facing terminal 2 on 6th floor and found that the noise from the airport disturbed our sleep. However on our second night we were first floor and didnt get any noise from the terminal.

Review 106:Wifi was not free. I could not upgrade my booking to long stay car parking without cancelling and rebooking which was impossible due to lack of availability at that point. This distressed me.

Review 107:Nice atmosphere

Review 108:Incorrect signing in the car park. We didn't know we had to pay for car parking, we went out to then look for a ticket machine after being told we had to pay. There wasn't a machine. but the sign stated it was £3 to park and display for the length of time we were staying. We then returned to the hotel 15 mins later to be told, there wasn't a machine and you got a hand written ticket from the porter/ receptionist man who said it was £5, even though the sign said £3. We were told it was a private company who owned the car park not the hotel!!! If it's a private company, why was it a Premier Inn employee taking the money?

Review 109:The bed was amazing, breakfast was terrific too. Staff were very helpful, would definitely use this hotel again.

Review 110:requested an omelette was served to me but the burnt side hidden so when I put a moth full in the burnt taste became obvious therefore putting me off my breakfast sent it back with the burnt side showing with just a mouthful missing so breakfast was a waste of money in the end a shame as I have a room booked at the dale street Piccadilly Manchester for two nights in december and think i will give breakfast a miss as the wife would definitely give me ear ache if it happened again

Review 111:reception staff was excellent

Review 112:We decided to have our evening meal in the restaurant, bit pricey for what it is, but it was nice. We did however have to ask 4 or 5 times for one of our drinks as the staff kept forgetting and passing the task on to each other.

Review 113:Room was good, lovely and clean. Freeview, coffee and tea available. Check in was easy.

Review 114:Room I was given first was next to stairwell and door so got quite a lot of noise from this. As I had to be up at 4am I asked if a room move was possible. The staff at Reception were very helpful and allocated me another room right away.

Review 115:I usually stop overnight when I need to catch my early morning flight from Manchester airport. Check in and out quick and efficient. Rooms are always comfy, cleaned, and the taxi service absolutely well organised. For £6 we had a private taxi who left us right in front the main door of the terminal.

Review 116:No where serving food at 6pm on Saturday. The on-site costa had closed and the restaurant was only serving light bar snacked

Review 117:Comfy beds, great location, good breakfast. Overall - good value for money

Review 118:The self check in machines weren't great .didnt work then a girl checked me in at front desk , half of an hour later I came down from my room to discover my paperwork on it with all my payment details for any one who wished to see no one else there.

Review 119:Nice value for money, good for an easy start to our holiday

Review 120:It would have been helpful to have an alarm clock on the bedside. Airport transfer not included in price.

Review 121:Well furnished, comfortable and spotlessly clean room. Nice restaurant on site. Pleasant and helpful staff.

Review 122:bit confusing trying to find it off directions provided, use your sat nav.

Review 123:excellent young man on reception who helped book in and provided information.

Review 124:Poor management/organisation/set up in the restaurant. We had waited an hour for a table as we were not advised on booking in that a reservation was required & then our table was given to somebody else because they lady assumed the man stood next to me was my husband. Only then were we given a table that had been empty the entire time we had been waiting! however the food was lovely.

Review 125:Comfortable rooms

Review 126:Great location for airport. Exceptionally clean and well equipped. Most comfortable bed ever with really snug pillows and mattress topper. Enjoyed food and drinks in restaurant.

Review 127:Not enough chips with our fish and chips!! Also fish a bit overcooked. Non-alcohol beer at £2.60 for 250ml bottle is way too expensive. After all there's no duty on non-alcohol beer..

Review 128:Clean, quiet,comfortable bed.

Review 129:Part of a chain but a really good atmosphere and facilities in reception area. Better than some of the other hotels which are nearer the airport as this one is newer and cleaner

Review 130:The £6 taxi ride seemed steep for a five minute journey. A pity there's no courtesy bus available.

Review 131:The bed was fantastically comfortable. I was at a football match with my 2 sons and as kids get breakfast free I only had to pay £8.75 for all 3 of us.
