Reviews for Empire Hôtel
Review 1:Despite I told in advance that I would arrive late. I had to wait outside 30 minutes until somebody opened me the door.
Review 2:Good breakfast and good assistance from the gentleman at the desk in the morning.
Review 3:When I arrived the light in the bathroom was broken. I told to staff and it was repaired in 10 min. But in the evening it was broken again and next morning was repaired again without my asking. It's prohibited to eat in the room
Review 4:The location is good, closed to city center and the railway station. The room is clean and enough big. The bed was perfect. There are soap, toothbrash, shampoo, gel and body lotion, hairdryer in the bathroom. A lot of towel. The staff is friendly and helpful. The price is excellent
Review 5:Ok. So this is a lovely little hotel, but my french isn't the best. Would suggest that you need greater conversational french than I have, as similarly, the reception staff speak little English. We managed though and the hotel staff are lovely
Review 6:Good central location
Review 7:poor quality decoration in our particular room. broken tile in bathroom and dirty toilet brush. poor fitting metal strips on stair edges. breakfast not up to average standard. staff very nice .hotel not up to 3 star rating based on our room and experience

Review 9:The pillows were aweful and the bed was just OK.
Review 10:The location was good as it was only a 5 minute walk to the main attractions and restaurants. The airconditioner worked well.
Review 11:Musty smell, air conditioning flashing lights all night and not working (during the heat wave!) uncomfortable bed, major problems with parking anywhere near the hotel
Review 12:Friendly staff, spoke some English, good breakfast
Review 13:Reception was a bit chaotic with a bit of the 'don't care' attitude, but friendly nevertheless.
Review 14:Good location and easy parking even though the garage was full.
Review 15:Difficult to find the room initially - rooms were not in sequential order, had to go up to go down. Only found one outlet in the room. Hair dryer only blew cold air.
Review 16:Air conditioning was excellent, bed was comfortable.
Review 17:The noises from the plumbing. Something wrong with the pump we suspect.
Review 18:We drove from Toulouse to Nimes for the Roman Games, needed parking and walkable distance to everything. The Empire ticked all the boxes. Not the flashiest looking from the outside but clean, comfortable and friendly atmosphere. No aircon but a fan.
Review 19:We arrived at 9 in the evening after a long trip by plane and train to find that the door of the hotel closed. Unless we had someone from the streer who was passing who helped us we would have spent the night in the street. Very cold no heating, poor bed, poor lighting and poor wifi u have to stay next to the door to have the wifi working!!!!

Review 43:Very hard to find as the address given is wrong. It should be Boulevard Etienne Saintenac. L'Empire Hotel. Some Italian people also found the same problem. Very basic two star. You get what you pay for - just!

Review 45:Very small room, dust under the bed that my cat cleaned!! Could hear the people next door ,damp marks and mould in the bathroom.Shall not return! 10€ for parking.5€ for cat and breakfast not included....75€! Nope. Also we were asked to book direct next time and we would have a better/bigger room,.??
Review 46:It was a one night stand! Arrived slept and left
Review 47:Friendly, relaxed hotel, good ensuitee facilities and very clean. Have recommended it to friends looking for a budget hotel in Nimes. Location on the edge of the old town is also really handy.
Review 48:The hotel is shabby and has evidently seen much better days. It is badly in need of a little investment to bring it back up to standard, for instance by replacing worn out carpets. The breakfast is, by 3-star standards in the region at best mediocre. Real coffee, not instant, is after all one of the things France still takes pride in ...
Review 49:The friendliness of the staff.
Review 50:The beds were, without any hyperbole, the most uncomfortable beds we have ever slept in. They sagged in the middle so much that it was like sleeping in a bowl. The sagging was obvious even when no one was in the bed.
Review 51:The receptionist not very welcoming; she was not so kind and she even didn't accompany us to our room.
Review 52:Room was clean, nice and very comfortable. Very good position: hotel is 5 minutes walking from the heart of the city.
Review 53:Car park needs to be booked in advance and costs 10€ a night. A lot ofmoney to park your car squashed up in a shed adjacent to the hotel whereyou can only get to it with the help of staff moving other cars.
Review 54:Hotel has really improved since my last stay 12 months ago. Looks to bea well managed joint now, and they are trying to improve further. Eventhe area of Nimes it is in is no longer a red light district!! Warmlyrecommended.
Review 55:We booked triple room and they gave a room which is for 6 people. No aircon. The bar outside is playing very loud music up to 1 am. Cannot sleep.
Review 56:The location is central.
Review 57:Decor was very tired No real shower, only the tube in a bath with no curtain. The booking promised a private terrace but there was none.
Review 58:Nice size room Pleasant staff
Review 59:Price was elevated due to the feria. However, the ambiance of the feria and the ease of walking to the events from the hotel made up for this.
Review 60:Staff went out of their way to welcome and help us. Room was very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed a copious breakfast each day, with a good variety of tasty food.
Review 61:We had a very comfortable room, the breakfast was excellent we couldwalk everywhere within the town. Best of all was the attitude of thestaff from the patron down - even the maid who did our room came to wishus goodbye. We intend to revist the regie so would certainly rebook.
Review 62:Staff too busy chatting amongst themselves Un-communicative Made amistake with the bill which soured the stay Lack of parking
Review 63:Location - central Comfortable room tv - Wifi - Hot water
Review 64:Our 4-people room is in the end of the corridor, maybe that's why wecouldn't search the wifi signal
Review 65:The location is perfect, in the center of the city
