Reviews for Premier Inn Manchester Airport Runger Lane South

Review 1:My room was really cold even though the staff kindly came a few times to try and rectify. They offered me another room.

Review 2:It was close to the area I was visiting but access was difficult.

Review 3:Didn't think it was fair to have to pay to park my rented car for the night!!

Review 4:location was good...close to the airport...sandwiched between the city of Manchester and the lovely vistas of the peak district!

Review 5:When we stayed we had issues with the people above and their young children running around at 10:30. However after ringing the reception they did speak to the couple and ask them to stop. It did carry out but I appreciated the staff trying

Review 6:Clean, comfy beds and a surprising amount of space

Review 7:Great location for pre or post flight stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was really big, lots of room for cases. Great value for money. Good on-site restaurant. Shuttle service available for small cost.

Review 8:The room was clean, however the carpet deserved vacuumcleaning. Funny: I notice it in all Premier Inn hotels: When you order a coffee at the restaurant after 10 pm, it is not possible, because the coffee machine has been turned off!!! This time however the staff was so friendly to manage a coffee despite. The restaurant closes already at 9.45pm. For an international airport hotel I think that is too early.

Review 9:Good hotel. Bed and bed linen superb! Especially in the resturant very friendly and helpful staff! Food also good.

Review 10:The need to PAY for a taxi connection to the airport. Other hotels much farther away from the airport have free courtesy services to the airport.

Review 11:The staff were very helpful. The breakfast was well worth the money as was the 2 course evening meal.

Review 12:It was up to the usual standard expected of a Premier Inn. We stayed overnight on Christmas Eve and the staff were particularly nice and helpful despite the holiday time for others. The staff in the restaurant were particularly pleasant and I was pleased with the quality of the food we received.

Review 13:We found that the room was noisy as it was close to a very noisy road! There was no way of getting away from the car horns, or engine noise. Our other problem was that we had contacted the hotel twice before our arrival asking about ensuring we had enough beds for us in our room. However we found out on getting in to the room that they do not have foldaway beds, sofa beds etc. The staff managed to get me an old bed base for my daughter to sleep on along with a double duvet (they do not have single beds at all) However she found it uncomfortable with the springs and cried. A bad night for all of us. However if you are a couple or your children can share a double bed, its an okay night. I cancelled our other stay here because of this issue and the noise

Review 14:We stayed here as a family with two young children. The staff were very attentive and tried hard to make our stay comfortable. The room was okay and we were due to stay again after our holiday but decided not to due to a couple of issues.

Review 15:I think it is very inconvenient that the hotel doesn't provide a contact email address. It's not easy to contact the hotel through the phone from abroad as it costs a lot.

Review 16:The bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in.

Review 17:This Premier Inn is situated in a great location for the airport. The room standard was fantastic and I had everything I needed in every regard. Very pleasant staff.

Review 18:Nothing

Review 19:Easy access from downtown and airport. I am personally grateful to the staff members esp front desk and supervisor for giving personal resources to assist during emergency that occured during my stay. These guys are wonderful and they responded quite well. What a place to stay

Review 20:Was cold in the room, when I had the heating on auto the noise kept me awake as every so often the fan would come on.

Review 21:Very clean. Polite staff. Close to airport

Review 22:Nothing really.

Review 23:The location was ideal for Manchester Airport, and was set up to help air travellers, with details of departures and arrivals in reception.

Review 24:It was close to the airport, but not so close that you could walk there. The taxi fares were a bit pricey.

Review 25:Nice rooms, very comfortable bed, the restaurant and bar prices were very reasonable and the meals we had were very nice.

Review 26:Basic services. No phone in room. Soulless location.

Review 27:Convenient for airport with good connections. Good bedroom small but adequate bathroom. Limited services and rather soulless site. Useful as airport stopover.

Review 28:It was a short distance from the airport, about £8 for a taxi, I thought it would be closer and less expensive to get there.

Review 29:Big clean room, comfortable bed.

Review 30:Can't honestly think of anything that could be described as a negative.

Review 31:From the moment we entered the building, the staff were excellent. Attentive, polite and very efficient. And not just with us. We witnessed on numerous occasions the lengths all staff went to for all guests, from accommodating early check in for a weary traveller, correcting a guest error on an online booking, to arranging special meals for dietary requirements and making safe an area when glass and crockery was broken by a young guest. Very impressed.

Review 32:The location of the sink in the bedroom was very odd, plus it was poorly designed as when turned on the tap the water sprayed everywhere. The TV wasnt easy to watch when lying in bed as it was far too small. £9 transfer for 2 people to airport was very steep considering it was literally 5 minutes away.

Review 33:Great shower, comfortable bed, meal deal option in restaurant was very good, as was the breakfast, food quality higher than expected.

Review 34:having to pay to park my car there over night I think when you check out your car park charge should be reimbursed. I understand why they charge to stop people going away leaving there car {for free} But guests staying should get free parking

Review 35:All the friendliness of the staff, facilities

Review 36:That you had to pay £5.00 per night to park after paying to stay in the hotel .should be free parking .

Review 37:The hotel was excellent. The rooms was excellent.Beds so comfortable Food in restaurant was lovely

Review 38:booked a room for 2 adults and a child but when we arrived we got given a room with only a small double bed in it. as we arrived much later than planned due to weather we were only in the room for 3 hours so didn't see the point in moving at that time of night.

Review 39:perfect location for travelling to the airport

Review 40:for an overnight stay the hotel had everything required. great reception with friendly helpful staff . the location was perfect to return to the airport for an early flight

Review 41:there was no iron in the room tried to call the reception with no answer a couple of times... wasn't aware needed to pay for parking every night.. (not pleased).

Review 42:comfortable beds quite clean staff were friendly

Review 43:Only one socket worked in our room and only one towel on arrival, but quickly taken care of.

Review 44:Close to Terminal 2 at Manchester Airport. Comfortable beds.

Review 45:Always seem to have wi fi problems but granddaughter managed to sort out everything.

Review 46:Location , friendly and helpful staff, excellent evening meal and superb room , amazing

Review 47:One small thing was that we had to request extra towel and cup etc as there was 3 in room but they were very quickly taken to room x

Review 48:Was greeted by a lovely man at reception who gave my daughter his own Lindt choc teddy as it was her birthday. Xx thank you xx

Review 49:I came to stay as a solo traveller to pick up my boyfriend from an early morning flight the next day. This hotel was the perfect distance from the airport. Staff were very friendly. Rooms big in size and very clean and comfortable

Review 50:everything, from check in to departure, comfortable, wonderful staff, excellent food. My friend and I had a lovely evening dined in the restaurant, relaxed in our super comfortable room before our early morning flight.

Review 51:Temperature was perfect, as often hotel rooms can be like ovens. Every staff member was friendly. Evening meal was delicious and great value for money.

Review 52:Bathroom extractor not working faulty plug in room towel airer not working in the bathroom restaurant closed at 10pm but were offered takeaway from another business

Review 53:Closeness to airport

Review 54:Just wish the restaurant could cope with the amount of guests in the hotel. That said, the bar menu was very good.

Review 55:Fantastic greeting and ease of checking in. Great staff and fantastic location for need. Very helpful with cabs and local information.

Review 56:My toilet made an horrific noise all night. like a dying bear.

Review 57:I liked the fact that this hotel was so close to the airport and provided transfers at only £6.

Review 58:room was on the first floor. could not get to sleep with all the banging. I thought it was a firework display.Daughter thought it may have been the kitchen below. horrible night.had to be up at 4-30 for flight to Jersey.

Review 59:very nice room. (twin)

Review 60:Excellent staff very polite, attentive and informative. Smooth check in everything explained excellently, taxi ordered for our early trip to airport. Food in the restaurant was excellent, cooked well and friendly waiter helping us with our menu choices.

Review 61:There was nothing we didn't like.

Review 62:The hotel is always our 1st choice have stayed there quite a few times.Staff always happy and helpful, rooms are always clean and beds comfortable. We always book the meal deal as it is great value.

Review 63:Did not like the sink outside the toilet area and in the bedroom. Light at mirror could have been a bit brighter for the make up!! No shampoo etc in bathroom which is unusual. The water in the restaurant was terrible but I think it how it is in your area.

Review 64:The room was comfortable and airy. The menu and food very good. The staff excellent, friendly, very helpful, would do anything to help. Nothing a problem. Cheery.

Review 65:Waiter was rude, green beans on my meal un-cooked, the fact that I phoned the hotel prior to check-in and no-one ever answered the phone. I also e-mailed several times in the 10 days before my stay and they never once replied

Review 66:Closeness to the Airport, comfy bed.

Review 67:Distance from the airport is too great despite bus service (particularly concerning getting there).

Review 68:Typical stop-over hotel which was clean and of good quality. Friendly and attentive staff. Efficient shuttle bus service to airport.

Review 69:We stayed twice. First time all very good. Second time the hotel heating packed up so was very cold. The restaurant staff tried hard but were poorly trained. The reception staff did not tell us about putting a parking sticker on the car and we had to get up in the middle of the night to do this.

Review 70:Location. Comfortable beds.

Review 71:The way that I was spoken to by staff. My manager had made this booking via booking.com but I had to pay on my own credit card even though my manager had phoned and agreed to pay for it.

Review 72:Nothing to complain about!

Review 73:Nice modern surroundings. Bar and restaurant on site, lovely breakfast. Plenty parking. Easy to find. Close to airport with shuttle bus serviced in mornings. Would recommend and will stay again

Review 74:Premier Inn has been predictable for the 20+ years I have used them. This is a huge plus when travelling with family and especially my Autistic son. This Premier Inn was not the same standard. The beds were smaller. There was no proper bathroom. Our special request (not passed on by 'bookings.com') was not available ie. A plug socket next to the bed for medical equipment. My daughter got stuck in the shower room as the door was broken. The shower door opened outwards and dripped all over the shower room floor. There were no shelves for toiletries or rails for clothes in the shower room (had to put clothes on the toilet seat. Not at all happy with that) Family members need the privacy of a usable bathroom, when sharing a room. The shower room was far too small to use in comfort. There was no towel hook or rail by the sink. The wardrobe hanging space was filled with a large fan. The room was noisy during the night, with bumping and banging waking us all up. Although the staff were very pleasant, our complaint of being woken up in the night was just brushed aside and not taken at all seriously. The horrible experience and awful disturbed nights, spoilt our weekend. We were tired and irritable. Out long drive home was more difficult as a result. Being told by a 'chirpy' receptionist 'you should have checked the web site..' did not help. Premier inn should be predictable! If its not, I may as well just take pot luck with any budget hotel chain. . .

Review 75:Good location and nice bed linen, mattress and pillows. Predictably good service, pleasant and friendly staff.

Review 76:I booked his room while attending a wedding only a few miles away and was also working in the area. The first thing I noticed was there was no main light over the desk making it very difficult to do my makeup, as the bathroom was a wet room it was to damp in there to use the brighter mirror. The room was very cold and took several hours to warm up,and the wet room did not help he feeling of being cold when using he facilities. I would never have booked this room is I had know I would be given a disabled bathroom when I asked at reception to change I was told this is all they offer.

Review 77:I had a large room that was very clean and tidy. The bed and was very pillows where very comfortable.

Review 78:I would have liked to have known what the transport costs were to the airport. I think charging £6 for a ride that was less than a mile, is overcharging ! The cab driver didn't use the meter.

Review 79:The check-in was fast, with friendly staff. The bed and pillows were very comfy, had a great nights sleep !

Review 80:1) Non professional Staff: I requested to store luggage and the guy asked me " Is there no space in your room" which was very unprofessional because at booking desk, the lady confirmed they do have luggage storage facility. 2) Awful Food and ridiculous dining service: Ordered veg pizza but served with some sort of dough with non melted cheese and some cold green peppers worth 15£. It was not even sliced. Did not eat at all. 3) No water: Paid 20£ for breakfast but when asked for a mineral water for infant, was advised that it is out of stock. 4) No bath matt, No shower gel/hand gel in the packets 5) Fire alarm checking without notification. Got panicked and came out of room with infant. ** It was same guy whom I encountered at luggage storage and at restaurant**

Review 81:Clean room

Review 82:They would not heat some baby food in the microwave because of health and safety?????? What does that even mean????? Warm food is perfectly safe and a kitchen should be qualified to do this and I am qualified to handle it. Not helpful after a long day travelling.

Review 83:Restaurant good value and friendly staff

Review 84:The staff service was a bit slaggish, could do a bit more to attend to clients.

Review 85:The location is good near the airport and one would just be in time to catch their next flight. The Breakfast too was great!!

Review 86:We found dried blood on the duvet and to our surprise we received a full refund. The lady who dealt with it was most apologetic.

Review 87:Very caring staff who dealt with our complaint sympathetically and quickly.

Review 88:Almost nothing

Review 89:This place is excellent. Staff are very friendly and helpful in a proffessional way. The room was calm and super clean. Location is bot far from the airport and the airport train station where you can access piccadilly and shopping areas.

Review 90:That it is so far from the city

Review 91:Hehe beds are so comfortable, and the option of a soft or hard pillow also the staff were very pleasant and friendly, and very helpful and organised transport for us twice

Review 92:Paying for parking.

Review 93:Large comfortable room and beds. Helpful staff with local knowledge of take away food delivery service as we arrived after food service had finished at hotel.

Review 94:The main meal at night was not good poor value although the sweet was very good.

Review 95:The room was great, superb shower and bed, everything very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent value.

Review 96:Didn't know you had to pay for parking ... Also cost us a going rate £23 to Manchester city centre .. Apparently the hotel get a cut of that !!! Would have stayed closer if I'd known all this ...

Review 97:The room was large , plenty of room . Clean and comfortable bed .

Review 98:Had two disabled people with us, we requested a room next door to them for ease to assist them but did not get this. The only disabled room given we could have was at the end of the corridor so was a long walk from the lift for people with mobility issues. Room was not well lit which made it difficult for one of the party who is partially sited and needs a well lit room. We did not feel the disabled room was well planned for a range of disabilities.

Review 99:Close to airport and restaurant on site. Fine for people with no mobility/sight issues.

Review 100:Not only do you have to pay extra for parking the night of your stay but, on a very wet and windy night, it was an annoyance to have to return to the far end of the car park to put a car park pass behind my windscreen

Review 101:The room was large and had everything required for a stay. Had everything, hairdryer, shower and wash gels, coffee tea facilties and also had a good nights sleep being close to the airport. The staff ere very polite especially the bar staff.

Review 102:building was shaking (like a small earth tremor) in high winds. Reported to staff. Potential structural problem !!

Review 103:convenient, clean and value for money

Review 104:Staff were really helpful, hotel was really clean, very modern and had everything you need. We had to extend our car parking due to a flight delay and this was no problem at all. Parking at £5 per day was a great deal.

Review 105:Half of the rooms face the very busy highway and for some reason aren't sound proof. It makes the room very noisy all night long. It's close to the airport but you'll need to take a paid shuttle that you need to ask to pick you up from the terminal so location wise is not a 100% airport hotel.

Review 106:Couldn't sleep, which for me is unheard of. It was far too hot in the room and couldn't find a way of turning the heating down. So, we opened the window for some cool air and the traffic noise was incessant throughout the night.

Review 107:Cleanliness

Review 108:There was an annoying light on the smoke detector that managed to reflect off the ceiling and light up the room preventing a good nights sleep

Review 109:Location and restaurant, excellent.

Review 110:Staff at reception were very unprofessional, messing about and being stupid after a long flight all we wanted was to check in and go to sleep. Was given a disabled room which was hideous, bright green light on all night which stopped me from sleeping, dreadful road noise, tv and lights no working. Overall absolutely diabolical

Review 111:Bed was comfy

Review 112:The only sink was in the bedroom so everyone else disturbed when it was in use. No bath tub (but this was stated on the website so not a surprise). Internet was awful. Struggled to download files on free wifi so bought a voucher for better wifi. Wifi kept logging out so had to have repeated attempts at completing work as downloads and transfers were stopped as wifi logged itself off. Ended up having to be awake every hour through the night to log back on just to try and get work done.

Review 113:The size of the room was great and it was comfortable.

Review 114:Mould growth in bathroom (shower cubicle). Shower water kept going very hot. Room was very noisy with the traffic. Ordered food for our room and they advised they would call us, we then realised after half an hour we didn't have a hotel phone. Lack of actual room service poor.

Review 115:Comfy beds, friendly staff, great location.

Review 116:There was nothing we could find to complain about. No, nothing!

Review 117:Just loved everything about the Premier Inn. The comfy beds. The free WiFi was essential and appreciated. The hot drinks. We also enjoyed the meal package and the food in the restaurant was 5* INCREDIBLE FOOD and Sharon in the restaurant was very attentive as our waitress. We just had a lovely time!

Review 118:Not much, reception a little more help were a little rushed, more staff needed

Review 119:Easy to find and well organised for taxi transfers Good for airport. Great meal deal and well worth it..staff very helpful and food were quick to arrive.

Review 120:As Premier Inns are usually basic, there was no pool etc. Also, the location is tricky to find, although its near the airport its down a few lanes before you find it. My Sat Nav was very confused.

Review 121:This Premier Inn has excellent food choice and value for money. Premier Inns are usually clean, comfortable and basic in their facilities. There is a nice restaurant and bar in this one and the food choice (and 2 meal package) are excellent. The standard of the food was very good too. Children under 15 eat breakfast free and there is a meal deal for adults for 24£ covering 2 course dinner, with a drink and breakfast (normally £9). The childrens dinner menu is 5£ for 2 courses with a drink and the choices are brilliant - they have 8 starter choices and 11 mains choices. I'd go so far to say this is the best childrens menu I've ever seen.

Review 122:The restaurant was very busy but under staffed the staff working in it were great but they were rushed off there feet there was a bit of a wait to get a table

Review 123:close to the airport the staff were very friendly and the food in the restaurant was lovely and the rooms were comfy perfect for an over night stay

Review 124:The location - not easy to get a taxi to, you need to offer a pick up shuttle from the airport for those people dropping of car rentals!

Review 125:Clean and well presented, very comfortable beds

Review 126:What's there not to like?

Review 127:We liked everything about this hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly and saw to our every need. The beds were comfortable, the room was spacious and the food was delicious.Everything was great value. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to friends and stay again.

Review 128:I booked two rooms and paid for both, mu daughter was not arriving until 2am in the morning and they would bot release her door key to me, said she had to sign for room. However, when she arrived she was not asked to sign anything, I could have made sure her room was ok and warm enough for her as she was tired after a long flight. I asked for two rooms next to one another overlooking front of hotel, got one room overlooking front, one overlooking back and while they were on the same floor and not too far away from each other I still had to walk down the corridor to take things to my daughter in the morning. The restaurant at evening meal was like something out of Faulty Towers. Long wait for meals, our main meal was served before the starter, when I pointed out that my husbands starter had not arrived the waiter was going to take the main course back but due to the wait we stopped him and my husband ended up having both starter and main course together. My "well done" steak was pink in the middle so I ate the outside only. When my husband asked for a particular sauce it was set on the table with no top n the bottle. People around us were complaining , one couple were given a free meal , another half price. there were chips on the floor just outside the kitchen area, an accident waiting to happen there. The female waitress that served us disappeared in the middle, was then served by a male. All in all not a good or pleasant experience.

Review 129:Location to airport. Helpful young trainee on reception.. Breakfast was good , plentiful and hot.

Review 130:I had a late flight landing at 2am, all I wanted to do was sleep! Unfortunately they couldn't find any change in reception as the safe was locked so I was left stood for 20 minutes only to get £6 change in 20 pences.

Review 131:Beds are amazing!

Review 132:I tried to call the hotel on four different occasions prior to my stay and not once did I get an answer. When we arrived and asked if the phones were working we were told that they had just been busy - not very apologetic at all! We had a very early flight in the morning and there was no tea or coffee available in our room. We tried to call the "24 hour reception" numerous times to ask for some, however no one answered. When we addressed the above during check out we were told that the reception was very busy at 345am in the morning!! Not worth the money at all.

Review 133:Comfy beds

Review 134:Nothing.

Review 135:We stayed here the night before our flight out to NYC to get married...The room was big,the staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive and as soon as they realised we were off to get married, one of the staff members in the bar gave us a complimentary bottle of prosecco!

Review 136:Don't bother calling the front desk. I called ~ 12 times in a 1/2 hour (I became curious if they would ever answer). Never did.

Review 137:Room was clean and comfortable.
