Review 2：Came from Australia for first ever visit .my mum booked this for us. Amazingly friendly will definitately try to stay again

Review 3：Requested an earlier check in but room wasn't ready. Receptionist said that there had been a xmas party the previous evening and check in was 2pm.and it was only 1.20pm.. we were asked to sit in restaurant area. No complimentary offering if a drink but room was ready about 15mins later.

Review 20：It was a lovely hotel. Set in nice grounds with a lovely view. The hotel was quiet over night. The room was immaculate with good facilities. A bath and shower is always a good thing. We will stay there again. The food was delicious. Menu was extensive.

Breakfast was abit expensive for our liken £12.50 each for a cooked breakfast

Review 27：In both Reception and the Dining Room the staff were very courteous and very keen to be accommodating in every way. I loved having a proper single room with just one bed. The room was warm and comfortable, had good space for one and the bathroom super.

All in all probably the worst hotel visited in living memory. A thoroughly bad experience. Never again.

Review 46：A perfectly decent place to stop for one night after delivering our son to his new flat close to the centre of Dundee. We arrived just 20 minutes before the hotel kitchen was due to close and the staff were extremely helpful in ordering an evening meal for us. We had a very pleasant stay which, apart from the fact that the hotel is a bit far away from the city centre, couldn't be faulted.

Review 48：we were put in a room with disabled bathroom facilities, the bathroom was horrible like a hospital, the fan didn't work, the water didn't drain away when we showered, the radiator made noises in the night, some electric sockets didn't work we were ignored when these were mentioned on our first day.

Review 57：Both I and my colleague stayed here for a business trip and we both have to say this is the friendliest hotel we have ever stayed at. The staff especially the young gent on reception was so extremely helpful and made our stay that more enjoyable - the staff just couldn't do enough for you which was lovely! The rooms were excellent and the beds were so comfortable - a real treat would definitely recommend.

Review 60：All pretty much perfect. We were very tired and are not light sleepers so slept soundly and comfortably. Other guests commented on noise emanating from wedding party (which is not unusual at such events!!) but it didn't bother us. If this is a worry ask to have a bedroom on the reception entrance side of the building. Room 207 where we were, was ground floor and near the ballroom wedding party entrance side. Perhaps that is why it was good last minute value when we booked via booking.com

Review 61：Ease of booking, location of this hotel, more than adequate secluded parking (had a dog in the car and was able to leave the vehicle in a shady area where the dog wasn't unduly disturbed. (didn't ask about pet in room so don't know if this hotel accepted dogs hence leaving her in the car overnight. No issues). Food at dinner was excellent value and well presented no delay even though a large wedding was also taking place there.Abience in restaurant was excellent as it was everywhere in the hotel. Bedroom (twin) - room 207 was more than adequate for the single night stay. Bathroom shower ensuite to a high standard, walk in large shower excellent. Breakfast buffet superb. Lovely grounds and old redwood trees at front of this former silk traders home from the Dundee heyday jute era.

As a wedding venue guests are very late at night walking, shouting the lenght of the passage way not giving a second minute thought for others. In the morning the passage way was extermely noisey from 7am onwards so no chance of a lie in!! I really wasnt happy about the location of the room, so much so that I didnt go for breakfast after been awoke in such a fashion by other guests. I was of mind to ask for a refund or deduction on my room on check out but I just wanted outta there ASAP!!
