Reviews for Premier Inn Dunfermline

Review 1:The staff were excellent - due to floods and delayed ferry travel we arrived later than expected and had to alter our booking. All the staff we spoke to were very helpful, we felt known by name and received superb customer service from both the manager and duty staff. The warm welcome and supportive team set this apart from the average Premier Inn. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel or book again - the location is superb for visiting both Fife and Edinburgh.

Review 2:Toilet was dirty with old wee under the seat. Only 2 coffee's though I suppose if we'd asked for more I would have been given them. Cars peeping at 24hr Mc Donalds kept me awake (though not your fault and nothing you can do about it). My room was changed for me as I made a mistake when booking which was really kind and could explain why the bathroom wasn't as clean as I have come to expect from a premier inn.

Review 3:Really friendly helpful staff.

Review 4:it was that cold in the room and the bed was,nt comfy for disabled person we could not take our heads out from under the quilt in fear of frost bite

Review 5:the recptionest maggie exceptional the disabled room great

Review 7:Was perfect for our needs. We were up for the BSB at Knockhill and the location was ideal and the breakfast was so tasty and set us up for the day. Best coffee ever.

Review 8:With Premier Inns there you need to go outside to eat, which in winter is not great, but there was a wide range of eating places around.

Review 9:The staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was spacious and comfortable, with decent facilities. For the price it was excellent value

Review 10:Nothing really...apart from having to leave the comfort of the bed!!

Review 20:Not far from Halbeath Park and Ride. Plenty amenities nearby. Several Restaurants one can walk to. Comfortable beds. Didn't manage to have the 30 minutes free WiFi.

Review 21:We had a noisy room from outside noise from restaurant a cross the road . I think it was more unfortunate we were located at the front above the main entrance. Not anything the hotel could do more an annoyance .

Review 22:Staff member on arrival was cheerful and polite.

Review 23:Only a few minutes of free wifi at this hotel. Their restaurant however has it for free, so you can get around this minor hiccup, still not the most convenient.

Review 24:From the kind welcome to the freshly remodeled rooms, we loved this place! Staff totally went out of their way to accommodate my family's needs: printed documents for us, even gave my Mom a birthday greeting card! Location was great for us, on our way up North to the Highlands and the value just could not be beaten, especially during the Festival! Highly recommended!

Review 80:The whole experience was a total pleasure from the moment we checked in until the moment we checked out

Review 81:the bar closed at 11pm

Review 82:this hotel is the best premier inn we have stayed in could not fault anything every one was so friendly and helpful will stay there again.

Review 83:Staff were fantastic, so friendly and helpful. We were visiting family so location was great. Also for a family with youngsters we could walk to local restaurants, bowling alley or cinema when not visiting them. The

Review 84:Massive issue over check in, was told I would have to pay £76 over what was written in black and white on my booking form.Eventually was sorted out after approx an hour. Was given compensation but really spoilt the first night and caused me to be very late for a meal with my family. The "can't do" attitude didn't help! Sunday breakfast finished at 11 am, got there at 10.20 am looking fwd to a leisurely breakfast and was told there would be a 20 min wait but that the buffet would be cleared at 11am. Breakfast was therefore rushed, but the buffet wasn't actually cleared 'till 11.15am, so why not just apoligise for the wait but say the buffet would be extended?? Poor customer service. Booked there for 4 days , each day plates at buffet not clean, food debris etc. Also no toilet seat in restaurant toilet.

Review 85:Nothing it was excellent

Review 86:The mattress was so comfortable. I stayed at more premieres where they did not have them. I travelled from the USA and a good nights sleep is everything. Front desk staff so lovely and breakfast was great and easy. Will stay again.

Review 87:See above

Review 88:We stayed in room 6 on arrival it was noticeable cold, do my husband increased temp, we we n t out for dinner on coming back a few hours later the room was still cold, we were tired and went to bed. I I formed the duty manager who right away agreed my refund. My family went to brewers for breakfast and I have got to say the food was decidedly poor, we have stayed in premier inns through out the country and the one thing you could do well was breakfast, why in Scotland do you insist on herb sausages they are absolutely disgusting and Scottish people do not like them, why no potato scones simple changes would go a very long way

Review 89:Beds were way too hard Room wouldn't adjust to temp so it was freezing As long as no one is above you it's easy to sleep Word of warning do not eat at the brewers fayre across from hotel for breakfast it was terrible! Place was filthy

Review 90:The staff very excellent The location is convienent

Review 91:My hangover lol no seroiusly there was nothing everything first class thank you

Review 92:Best sleep we have had in ages room very modern and spotless clean staff very helpful and friendly ideal location

Review 93:There was no prior indication that building works were happening. They were noisy and intrusive. Poor shower The worst Premier Inn bed I have ever slept in (this is normally there strongest asset) The pub/restaurant was very poor with dirty crockery and cutlery and the breakfast was terrible.

Review 94:The staff were great

Review 95:Despite extensive building/decorating work in and around the reception area, staff remained cheerful, positive and professional, especially Alissa? A very pleasant stay, well done all.

Review 96:nothing

Review 97:The staff were very pleasant and the person on desk duty was excellent bent over backwards for us, we were getting married that weekend in dunfermline. the bed was comfortable and the breakfasts were yummy, couldnthave asked for more!

Review 98:A bit old building

Review 99:Good compromise between price and position. When Edinburgh is too expensive (august), this is the good alternative Very friendly staff

Review 100:Close enough to go into Edinburgh Well located for choice of fast food restaurants Modern comfortable hotel Know what you are getting with Premier Inn

Review 101:The staff went over and beyond to help us with any questions from food to shopping to sight seeing!! They were so friendly and new us by name!! Thank you Gavin for starting each day off with a smile!!!!

Review 102:Horrendous!!!! The toilet had excrement left in it from the last guests.Reception staff fixed this immediately.Room was for a disabled person toaccess. Bed too low. Upside down wall sockets. Bars all round thebathroom. Was like being in a hospital room.

Review 103:The staff were excellent and very helpful. They looked after us allweekend. Quiet night.

Review 104:Apparently, due to Booking.com administrative errors in the bookingprocedure, we were allocated a disabled room! (We are both able bodied)We were informed that this is always the case if a Standard room ischosen through Booking.com - so watch out!

Review 105:Excellent reception staff - thank you Gavin, extremely helpful.

Review 106:I found the staff to be extremely helpful, considerate and professional. The breakfast at the adjacent pub/ restaurant was first rate. Checking out time was a practical 12 especially for families.

Review 107:On arrival at reception we were made to feel very welcome and they tookcare of everything even booking meals rooms were spotless and verycomfortable with everything you require for an overnight stay.have stayed in some 5 star hotels that did not match the friendliness off this Premier Inn

Review 108:Breakfast was disappointing, hot buffet foods were cold and special request never appeared, we made a hasty exit, will avoid booking a breakfast in future.

Review 109:Wifi wasnt free and didnt work very well. We checked in at 8pm and paid for 24hrs wifi but by next morning it had expired

Review 110:The hotel was situated in a leisure park with lots of choice to eat ,a cinema, bowling alley and other leisure facilities

Review 111:Noise outside was terrible. The road noise mentioned on the website wasnot an issue at all, it was the shouting and screaming from peoplestanding directly below my bedroom window that kept me awake til 3am onmy first nights stay. Subsequently I slept in and missed breakfast (thatI had prepaid!) told staff and was told "oh we don't usuallyput people on that side of the hotel due to the noise". That wasit, no refund for the poor stay on tha first night. Won't be stayinghere again.

Review 112:Room was nice Facilities in the room were very well thought out. Showerwas excellent

Review 113:Nothing - this was a great budget stay.

Review 114:Amazing staff. All really helpful and friendly. Comfortable room, well set up for overnight with a lot of luggage. Good bed and shower. Warm and pleasant. Excellent breakfast, including vegetarian options.

Review 115:Noise from other rooms and corridor No sound-proofing Noise from outside as window had to be open to allow sufficient air Stuffiness of room Uncomfortable second and third beds for children, especially one on floor

Review 116:Reasonable price Breakfast Friendly, helpful staff

Review 117:Breakfast was too late (7am) for our onward journey to Edinburgh airport. Maybe a 6am start would b more convenient for airport/business travellers. There was a macdonalds next door that was open 24 hours tho.

Review 118:Excellent location and staff. Very cheap for family room with breakfast. Next door to bowling, cinema and a host of restaurants, very easy to go onward to Edinburgh airport.

Review 119:Nothing to dislike

Review 120:Very comfortable bed in a large room Able to eat until 10 pm in next door restaurant. Excellent breakfast Very helpful staff

Review 121:New rooms were stunning.

Review 122:Staff v friendly,helpful. location very good

Review 123:Handrail in shower (kept banging my funny bone - not funny) :-)

Review 124:Friendly helpful staff
