Reviews for B&B Delaware

Review 1:Lovely big room with TV, settee and tea/coffee. Ensuite facilities included complimentary shower gel and shampoo. Towels changed daily. Superb breakfast with large choice of locally sourced produce and free range eggs. Very welcoming hosts. Fantastic!

Review 2:Little choice at breakfast - limited cereals, no fruit or youghurt. Lighting in bedroom very dim so unable to read!

Review 3:Friendly welcome. Everything clean and well maintained. Speedy wi-fi.

Review 4:Tom & his wife were lovely , nothing was too much trouble ,room was excellent , food was good , would certainly recommend & would stop there again

Review 5:Friendly atmosphere, and access to attractions in walking distance since we arrived by train. Plenty of restaurants and easy walk to shopping. Quiet nights, comfortable bed, for good nights' sleep

Review 6:Nothing stood out

Review 7:Very friendly owners, they made me feel very welcome and that nothing was too much trouble. Off the Main Street so quiet and tranquil setting

Review 8:The attention to detail was excellent from the moment we stepped through the door. High standards for everything fresh milk and iced water on our arrival.

Review 9:Being careful we didn't bump our heads on all the sloping parts of the ceiling!

Review 10:Just about everything. This is a very convenient place for the trains, the boats and the town centre. Helpful owners and clean and comfortable rooms. We may well return if in the area.

Review 11:Fresh fruit had been struck off the breakfast menu which was a pity because it was otherwise good. Toilet door had no lock and a tendency to drift open!

Review 12:The location was a very short walk from the town centre. Our room was pleasantly decorated and spacious. Our host Nancy was extremely cordial and helpful.

Review 13:they looked after us very well tom and nancy were great hosts we chose b and b spot on we loved it pam and Derek wade

Review 14:Everything the hosts were a lovely couple, the room was beautifull as was the bathroom! Would definitely recommend to friends. Made us very welcome and atmosphere was relaxing.

Review 15:Room wasn't ensuite (but private bathroom was superb, and squashing a shower/WC into the bedroom would have ruined its ambience). Some cobwebs behind the bedside cabinets spoilt what was otherwise an impeccably clean room.

Review 16:Delightfully spacious room, comfy bed. Near to town centre, but also close to the countryside and very peaceful. Warm welcome and good breakfast (possibly the best fried egg ever).

Review 17:The "Deleware" is like a home from home - easy access, parking, very clean and comfortable. Tom & Nancy are a delightful couple and welcome their guests with warmth and friendliness - would recommend the "Deleware" any day over any posh hotel.

Review 18:Sloping roof of bedroom and bathroom so that you had to be careful not to hit your head

Review 19:Very quiet, clean, comfortable and friendly. Fresh milk for tea or coffee in the room and filtered iced water.

Review 20:The twin room is not suitable for tall people as it has sloping ceilings and plugs are not located near mirrors so not convenient for hairdrying/styling. Road noise at 6am!

Review 21:Nancy's welcome was excellent and the location for access to the Broads. We also liked the cleanliness and decor of the room.

Review 22:We liked everything about our stay at the Delaware B&B. Nancy and Tom are a very friendly couple who deserve every word of praise. The room was perfect for us, large and comfortable, Our bathroom next to the room was modern and sparkling clean. Nothing seemed too much for Nancy to provide, clean towels every day for three days. Tea and coffee facilities and the lovely lady even brought us a jug of ice water and fresh milk when we returned in the early evening. Out lovely three day break was perfect. Thanks to Nancy & Tom

Review 23:Nothing

Review 24:My colleague Arrived after a long Friday drive from London, Nancyinstantly offered us a well needed refreshing jug of iced water, andthe immaculate, comfortable twin room was a pleasure to stay in. Thebreakfast was faultless although my colleague was disappointed by thelack of black pudding but then he is Italian!!! The best places toeat by far are the Recruiting Sergeant & The Kings Head bothlocated a short 2 mile drive away in Coltishall...Trust me I was bornand bred in Norwich so know the area well! Would I stay here again...A big fat yes!!!

Review 25:the best thing about staying at delaware was everything, Tom & Nancy are excellent hoist make you feel welcome, room clean & comfortable, brilliant breakfast would deferential go back. Richard & Jennie Farrow

Review 26:The room was large and beautifully finished with a modern ensuite. We even had a couch and coffee table to relax on at the end of a busy day. Hosts Tom and Nancy are very welcoming and we enjoyed a good chat with them. Breakfast was very good - there is a menu with a number of hot breakfast choices. All in all we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and would highly recommend this B & B to anyone wishing to visit Wroxham and the Broads. Tom and Nancy definitely go the extra mile!

Review 27:The room was spacious and newly furnished to a high standard -very comfortable and immaculate. The wifi service was excellent and the television a good size. Coffee/ tea and fresh milk in room. Breakfast very good choice. Tom and Nancy excellent hosts.

Review 28:The location was perfect for access to the town and hire boats and eating places whether walking or driving. It was lovely that it was tucked away and nice and quiet.

Review 29:Could be a little more knowedgable about the area. In there defence they have not been there very long so hopefully will improve.

Review 30:good clean room plenty for breakfast and ample parking. Proprietors are very friendly.

Review 31:Having to leave.

Review 32:Run by Tom and Nancy who gave excellent personal service. On coming in after the evening out it was wonderful to be met by Nancy with a jug of milk and a jug of iced water. Breakfast consisted of help yourself to 4 different cereals, sliced peaches and fruit juice then take your pick of any combination of bacon, eggs, baked beans, tomatoes cooked to your liking.

Review 33:The hosts are so welcoming and friendly. It was a joy staying with them. The breakfasts were filling and well presented. Lovely comfortable beds and soft towels. The property is very quiet and yet so near to the centre of Wroxham.

Review 34:It was not a bad experience but maybe one or two things would have made our stay pretty perfect. We were told on arrival that cash was the only payment option and I feel that could be made aware before booking. The bathroom door had a very loud hinge squeak, so if you needed to use the bathroom during the night it disturbs the sleeper, and just a little extra could be a full length mirror

Review 35:We liked the location and the cleanliness of the Delaware could not be questioned. We stayed in the twin room which is large and the sofa in the room is a lovely extra. We were asked if we needed fresh milk and water in our room which is a nice thoughtful change from having to usually ask. Breakfast was very nicely cooked and served in good time. Dining room was very quiet though so maybe some background music would help as people sat in complete silence so made the atmosphere quite difficult. All in all the hosts are very nice, and would recommend to others

Review 36:You could fail to like The Delaware

Review 37:We liked everything about The Delaware. On our arrival we received a very warm welcome from Nancy and when we were shown our room it was perfect,it was spacious with a very high standard of decor ,a very comfortable bed and an excellent bathroom. Our room looked out onto a large well tended garden.Nancy brought us some fresh milk for our tea and then told us the best way to get into Wroxham.Later we went downstairs to go out and we met Tom who also was very friendly. When we came at night we tried the free WiFi and it was very good.We had a great breakfast from a good selection and then we talked with them. When we were leaving Nancy said we could leave our bags untill later as we were going on a boat on the Broads and had to pass a few hours before we could go to the boatyard. We have no hesitation in recomending The Delaware and we will stay there again before our next boating holiday.

Review 38:Breakfast is only served until 8.30! Which meant we left with empty tummies! I probably wouldn't have booked if I had known that. I think breakfast should at least be served until 9am on a Sunday and cereal left out for late risers. Also if you want to lie in don't book the downstairs room as it's right by the door and opposite the breakfast room so the early risers will wake you up!

Review 39:The owners are very friendly and helpful and work hard. There are nice little extras like bathrobes in your room and shower gels in the bathroom. We were given fresh milk for tea and iced water on arrival. Overall this is a nice little b&b.

Review 40:Tom and Nancy are very nice people who made me feel welcome in their home I stayed for three nights and had no problems . Very clean and comfortable thank you.

Review 41:The owners were both welcoming and accommodating!! We went for the double with ensuite. The room was spacious, beautifully furnished, with a very modern bathroom!! We could not fault in any way our stay, and we will absolutely book here again in the future.

Review 42:Absolutely nothing.

Review 43:Decided on a last minute jaunt for a night away. Found Delaware, booked on line. Spent a pleasant day wandering around Wroxham/Hoveton and plotted up at Delaware B&B mid afternoon. Very pleasant hosts, nice large, clean and airy room. All the facilities you could wish for. Wandered into town for dinner, wandered back, all local facilities within easy walking distance. Sound nights sleep, excellent choice of well cooked breakfasts, cereal and juice. Very happy campers. Highly recommended.

Review 44:Everything was good, our only gripe was that we would have liked better quality sausages, muesli and yoghurt at breakfat.

Review 45:A great location, very helpful and welcoming hosts.

Review 46:My mother and I spent a very pleasant two nights with Tom and Nancy. Very accommodating hosts, very clean , comfortable and spacious rooms... Would definitely recommend the Delaware !!

Review 47:Breakfast is probably the earliest of any B&B I've ever stayed in. We'd had a late night so it was quite difficult to make to make it down in time. Probably not an issue for most people but just bear it in mind. Remember that you have to pay cash. We forgot but fortunately had enough cash with us. It's not a negative point as apparently this is on the website but we didn't really read it properly - totally our own fault!!

Review 48:Very helpful. Let us check in early as we were rushing to a nearby wedding. Room was lovely. Good size and nicely decorated. Very handy for the Broads if you want to visit those. Would definitely consider returning as good location, nice owners and a good breakfast.

Review 49:Comfortable well equipped rooms, nice dining room, good food. In a very pleasant location yet only a short walk to Hoveton/ Wroxham. Would definitely go again.

Review 50:The check out is too early for me 10:00. Breakfast finished at 8:30 so we had to wake up at 7:00am to be able to have a breakfast. It was very cold in the house as the heating was not on. I also would have liked to have milk in the room for the tea and coffee that were left for us.

Review 51:I liked the room decore, room size, location. It was very quiet as it is not next to busy road. Rooms were very clean and smelled fresh. Bathroom was very nice and also very clean. The owners were very friendly and made the stay very enjoyable. I loved the overall experience.

Review 52:Nothing.

Review 53:We stayed in an upstairs room which was very comfortable, has an en-suite and overlooks the garden. The breakfasts were lovely and if you like fresh fruit for breakfast, you won't be disappointed with the fruit and yogurt. The food, tea and coffee were served piping hot and stayed hot which was excellent as we don't like luke warm food. The location is very good as it's a few minutes walk from Wroxham, 3 miles from Horning and about 10 miles from Norwich. The owners are very friendly and couldn't do enough to help. We would definitely stay there again if we came back to Norfolk.

Review 54:Having to pay cash, but was aware of this when booked. Breakfast only between short period of 7:30-8:30

Review 55:Close walking distance to village - 10mins Modern ensuite, with good shower pressure A room with good floor area giving sense of space

Review 56:What's not to like

Review 57:The welcome on arrival was good Room very comfortable with lovely view of the garden Cups just the right size Breakfast was well cooked and came hot with never ending supply of toast

Review 58:Tom and Nancy are a very friendly couple and make you stay a pleasure. And the room we stayed in was the best one so far, We would definitely stay again.

Review 59:Mattress on beds was a little less supporting than we are used to but everyone likes different, so not really a negative.

Review 60:Had the twin room, really attractive room, very spacious more like a suit. So clean and welcoming. was very hot day when we arrived we were given a jug of iced water and fresh milk very thoughtful. Fan in room was nice touch too.

Review 61:Nothing!

Review 62:My husband wants me to get the same pillows as he had such a good couple of nights sleep! Fresh milk and water as soon as we arrived and returned to our room from trips was great.Fantastic breakfasts both days with plenty of choices.

Review 63:The welcome was excellent. Accommodation clean and very looked after. The owners very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. I am certainly going to go back there if I'm in the area.

Review 64:The twin room we had was large, but awkwardly shaped, the other rooms were much better shaped, I also found the bed too hard for me, though slept better on the second night, the breakfast was good.

Review 65:The welcome, cleanliness, and location of this guesthouse are second to none, really everything you need in this type of establishment, including plenty of parking. The wi-fi was good too.

Review 66:we knew before arrival that this room came with private bathroom but I would always prefer an en suite bathroom just for convenience, also I do agree with previous review breakfast was much to early for times only would be more helpful if slightly later

Review 67:room location was superb ideal for a quick exist and return, parking was just right the Delaware situated right where you would like to be at convenient spot close to shops and amenities but easy access to get to and enough distance away.

Review 68:The fact that breakfast finished at 8.30 sharp if it was 9 or 9.30 I think it would suit the majority of travellers on holiday.

Review 69:The location was very close to town yet in a very peaceful spot allowing a good nights sleep.

Review 70:Very warm duvet, so didn't sleep well as too hot. A shelf or table would be useful in bathroom, for wash bag etc Tiny cups for tea/coffee in room - a good sized mug would be preferable.

Review 71:Lovely quiet room with a nice view. Spacious bathroom and great shower. Location was good for the Broads. Host and hostess very welcoming and helpful. Lovely breakfast.

Review 72:Friendly greeting on arrival. Very helpful with directions and information. Proximity to The Broads and a short walk into town.First class all round !

Review 73:Spotlessly clean and comfortable accommodation. It was hot, so we appreciated the iced water provided on arrival. Nice to have fresh milk for tea and coffee too. Brilliant location within very easy walking distance to village centre - Nancy showed us the short cut. Breakfast was good with lots of choice. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Review 74:Really clean ,lovely breakfast.Nancy and Tom couldn't do enough for us .This was the best b&b that we have ever stayed in .We would not hesitate recommending to other people.

Review 75:Nothing to complain about great value for money

Review 76:The owners were most welcoming the room was great and spacious. Breakfast was first class. We had a lovley stay and felt very welcome Thank You

Review 77:No ensuite, English breakfast wasn't good, coffee and hot choc were just water with colour, damp sheets and bed. So expensive compared to other decent BnB. Will never stay here again.

Review 78:The only fault I found, and its only a small one, is that the breakfast was served a little early for my liking. We had up to 8.30am to go down for our breakfast but I prefer mine at around 9-9.30. Saying that I know at lot of people find getting up early a lot easier than me so this will be fine for them.. plus it did help us to have a nice long day as we were up and about so early!

Review 79:The couple who own the B&B were lovely and very welcoming. We stayed in the double room with on-suite and it was one of the nicest I've ever stayed in, very cosy and far from clinical like most hotel rooms, with a nice view of their lovely back garden. It was well worth the money, and the breakfast was lovely. I would definitely recommend this place to my family and friends, and I would stay there again.

Review 80:Nothing. Was one of our best ever B & B stays.

Review 81:Everything!!! Tom and Nancy were the most welcoming hosts who had provided every home comfort (and more) that a weary traveller might need. The room was newly renovated, very clean and with a separate sofa. The hosts provided fresh milk for tea and coffee - much appreciated. B&B located less than 5 minutes walk from the village with a number of dinner options, including a pub with a good carvery. Excellent breakfast.

Review 82:Liked all.
