Reviews for Lyndhurst Country House
Review 1:Clean & very friendly, comfortable, nothing too much trouble, even pointing out and directing us on local walks, offering us a flask to take, could not be faulted. .
Review 2:The Lyndhurst is ideally situated for exploring the Lakes. Christine & Les were perfect hosts. We stayed in the King room which was very well organised and spacious, it was very clean. The kingsized bed was really comfortable and in the morning the full English breakfast was excellent. We would highly recommend the Lyndhurst Country House.
Review 3:Bathroom was very small. There are not many places to eat roundabout unless you drive.
Review 4:Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. The house was beautifully cared for as were the gardens and we were made to feel very at home.
Review 5:If you are a very light sleeper - main road is nearby and noise starts early - equally - not nearly as bad as a city.
Review 6:lovely room / views / owners. breakfast accompanied by home-made jam / bread
Review 7:Christine and Les were extremely friendly and helpful hosts. They provided the extra touches which made our stay even more enjoyable. Fresh fruit from the garden for breakfast and a complimentary whisky in the lounge just to mention a few.
Review 8:Very friendly host. Tea and homemade lemon cake on arrival. Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Tastefully decorated rooms with modern furnishings. Delicious breakfast including homemade bread and jam.
Review 9:The TV in Room 2 could either do with replacing or re-tuning for more Freeview channels as the choice was minimal.
Review 10:Spotless everywhere. Supremely comfortable bed. Have already re-booked!
Review 11:Velux window in the room needs a blind over it, the sunlight wakes you with a bit of a shock, 7.00 am in October but imagine 4.30am in summer!
Review 12:Friendly hosts, offer good suggestions on where to eat in the area, good size rooms with settee, TV and good shower room. Off road parking to the front of the house. Offer home made biscuits in your room with your coffee. Excellent breakfast 8.30-9.00. Good value for money in comparison.
Review 13:The room we had at the front of the house was undoubtedly small and little space for clothes etc. and for this reason I considered the price to be high. Mind you, I think ALL accommodation in the UK compared to the continent to be ridiculously priced and it amazes me that we all pay it no matter where!!!!
Review 14:Friendly people, very clean, excellent breakfast, most obliging. I would stay there again and recommend to others
Review 15:We loved everything about Lyndhurst, the owners who were exceptionally helpful to the location ( wonderful ) and the breakfast which was fabulous, the room was very comfortable and clean with a beautiful outlook over the garden, the Lyndhurst offered great access to local tourist sites, the lakes, steam rail, motor museum and the Donald Campbell museum.
Review 16:Our room (4) was a bit 'compact' - but this was made clear when we booked so no complaint. Try to book 1 - 3 but don't avoid if room 4 is only one available.
Review 17:Beautifully presented B&B with very welcoming Hosts. Clean, comfortable & quiet despite being located on a nearby roundabout. Highly recommended
Review 18:Absolutely nothing
Review 19:Why ? because we decided on a weekend away on the spur of the moment, and were so lucky the Lyndhurst had a cancellation. From Christine's welcome and homemade lemon cake everything was terrific, even the weather was good. we will definitely go again.
Review 20:A friendly greeting on arrival. The room was very clean and beautifully layed out and the breakfast was second to none. The house is in a perfect location for visiting the lakes. Christine was very friendly and helpful. We will definately be telling friends and family about Lyndhurst Country House.
Review 21:Warm welcome including tea and cake set the tone for our short stay. Well -appointed room and a delicious cooked breakfast served in the comfy lounge for guests. The owners were friendly and helpful with plenty of local knowledge about opening times and locations of places to visit. There were magazines and books to borrow which was handy for a short break as we'd forgotten to pack anything to read. Felt very relaxed with a chilled-out atmosphere. Would like to stay again next time we visit the area.

Review 84:Very friendly and courteous owners . Extremely comfortable rooms. I needed to stay in advance of an Business event in windermere and it was a perfect stopping point. Breakfast was excellent also.
Review 85:Local taxi companies are very reluctant to pick up fares late at night. We were at a wedding celebration a mile or so up the road and the taxi that we had booked earlier in the morning simply failed to turn up at 11 pm. Only one of the three taxi firms we contacted that morning would even consider our business.
