Review 2:Sensational place! Wasted on me who stopping for one night for a wedding function. Like a mini house with the best bed, shower, tv and great breakfast. Even forgot my I pad but the kind woman posted it back recorded delivery. Class touch from a class person in a class place. V friendly. Great value for money!

Review 5:Nothing, it was all good.

Review 6:Really lovely place: very clean and comfortable. Owners and staff very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be going back!

Review 7:Duvet, although lovely and new, was far too hot (I got a chirpy but defensive repsonse when I mentioned this). Some very dogdy plug-stacking going on and nowhere to plug kettle in. Toilet didn't flush very well. All in all, very clean and comfortable bed but all rather tired (the owner said a refurb was planned - in that case the prices should have been lower)

Review 8:Very clean. Comfortable bed. Handy for Buttermere.

Review 9:Shower wasnt so clever but we were pr-warned by the owners of this and they are due to start upgrading and refurbing the property so no problems.

Review 10:Freindlyness of staff was excellent, they couldnt do enough for us. Breakfast was lovely.

Review 11:Excellent hosts. Very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The breakfasts were very good and were the best of our holidays having stayed in two other hotels during our journey. Very clean bedroom and bathroom.

Review 12:Good location comfortable room good breakfast. Only a short walk into the main high street. Very helpful owners. Plenty of parking spaces in the grounds.

Review 13:It was so nice to be greeted with such a friendly welcome. Check-in was swift, efficient and friendly. The transfer of my luggage to the room was very easy. The room was perfect for me and very comfortable.

Review 14:Fabulous little bed and breakfast the owners couldn't do enough for us. We stayed for our wedding anniversary and they even brought us a card and a little gift! Will defiantly return!

Review 15:minor points: no towel rails in bathroom and a toilet seat that needed replacing

Review 16:excellent breakfast, good location (easy to find) and very welcoming staff

Review 17:The room was lovely and clean and quite big. Excellent location 15 walk into the centre or £2.00 in taxi. Breakfast was lovely with plenty to choose from. The owners made you feel at home, lovely couple .

Review 18:Toilet difficult to flush, no pressure on the shower, walls with hanging wallpaper. I think after refurb it will be better yet shame that price is charged as for amazing place when clearly we got apologies that place needs renovating

Review 19:I liked the house and the location

Review 20:Stayed for one night whilst attending a wedding close by. The hosts were accommodating allowing us to access the room early to get ready and store luggage and didn't mind us returning late at night. Cleab room, comfy bed, good breakfast, shame we didn't get chance to spend more time there!

Review 31:Light sleepers may wish to ask for an upstairs room so as not to hear upstairs footsteps.

Review 32:Easy access and lots of free parking; or 10 to 15 minutes walk from the main bus stop. There is a wonderful old cemetery across the street for a walk.

Review 33:I booked last minute, as a stop over before a job interview. One of the hotel chains wanted £75/night without breakfast,so I searched and booked a single room at Rose Cottage. On arrival, I was given a free upgrade to a larger room, what more can I say, other than thank you, again.

Review 34:Lovely hosts that are very helpful and knowledgeable of the area, The b+b was in a great location for me as i planned to spend most of my time walking in Buttermere which is a short drive away. I took my boxer dog with me and found it to be very pet friendly and relaxed. I had an ultra comfy bed {room 7 } which was very welcome after a days walking on the fells , a lovely hot shower which was'nt the most powerful but lovely non the less. My room and the other parts of the hotel that i saw were spotlessly clean and kept that way. The cooked breakfast kept me going for most of the day and was very tasty . I would stay at Rose Cottage again in the future.
