Reviews for Bello Visto
Review 1:The room was very small and the shower room is very small with the shower over the toilet.
Review 2:The staff were very nice. It is in the old town which has a lot of character. It is a special place in terms of its position with great views.
Review 3:two streetlights right outside our windows. restaurants up there are expensive. We expected a berrer, sea view but really could only see the surrounding hills.
Review 4:room was good
Review 5:Distance from car park, difficult with a young family and lots of bags to transfer. No porter to help. No children's play area, garden or pool. No laundry service.
Review 6:Restaurant, fine dining. Bath ensuite. Quiet mostly sometimes noisy from restaurant if window open. Good level of English-language. Large bed and space for cot even with a single bed in the room. Lots of plug sockets once we were told of the switch that activated them. Good air con. Central Gassin hilltop views.
Review 7:None.
Review 8:This is a small hotel in the beautiful village of Gassin with 4/5 restaurants overlooking the Gulf of St Tropez; quite a unique location. The hotel suits us and rooms appear to have been upgraded adding to the comfort factor. The cost is most reasonable compared with the costs of hotels in and nearer to St Trop.
Review 9:Supposed to be a local bus into StTropaz but no one seemed to know about it, local knowledge a bit poor.
Review 10:Just a few kms from St Tropaz, plenty of parking, in the mountains.
Review 11:The bathroom/toilet/shower are in the same space, so you can't brush your teeth when your wife is taking a shower. However, taking turns isn't a problem with a nice room and amazing setting.
Review 12:My wife and I had a wonderful dinner, and I had a great run to Saint Tropez in the morning. The people at the hotel were friendly and helpful.
Review 13:- Very small room / bathroom (not such a big deal, really) - No wifi in rooms (though this is clear at the time of booking)
Review 14:- Excellent location (if you have a car), beautiful views of Saint Tropez - Staff were very friendly and helpful
Review 15:The sound proofing in the hotel is still lacking - especially the doors could use some attention. Breakfast was overpriced at ten euros - six or seven would have been more appropriate. Also, give that one of the more popular bike races finished right at their front door, the staff was completely unprepared for early breakfasts. A lot (if not most) of the guest were taking part in the race, but breakfast service was one tired fellow who forgot half the items. Would have been nice if they had been prepared.
Review 16:Brilliant location, quiet village, excellent views from the terraces. The rooms are being updated nicely and are ok in size. Friendly staff.
Review 17:Dinner was a bit expensive BUT very nice!
Review 18:Location is excellent. Bathroom was the best and most modern we used in Europe! Very clean. Very warm and friendly staff. Gassin is a lovely medieval hilltop village that we wandered around for most of the morning.
Review 19:We visited on a Monday in October & apart from one restaurant (which opened at 6.30pm) everything else was closed. We we're thirsty so had to drive into St Tropez for a drink. Even then it finished up being a super market as every bar we saw was closed!!! Maybe we just missed all the open ones?? Also the loudest snorer was in the room next to us. Just unfortunate. I imagine in season this is an amazing place to visit.
Review 20:Views & breakfast on the terrace.
Review 21:Clean with rustic decor - spacious rooms - value for money in an expensive area - have stayed for same price elsewhere and not got anywhere near the same quality
Review 22:everything was charming
Review 23:Breakfast good but again a bit pricey.
Review 24:Lovely room and v good facilities. Good restaurant, bit pricey.
Review 25:no wifi in the room...
Review 26:Suitable location to explore Gassin, 8 km from Saint Tropez marina.
Review 27:Location, location, location!
Review 28:poor wifi reception
Review 29:View over St Tropez Bay was outstanding
Review 30:not well English speaking in reception
Review 31:Friendly bar workers
Review 32:Fabulous place, great food and awesome staff. We stayed here instead of in St Tropez and it was the best decision.
Review 33:The staff were absolutely exceptional - friendly, keen, professional.
Review 34:No air conditioning at a 100eur/night room.

Review 42:Old fashioned rustic hotel Air conditioning unit in the bedroom
Review 43:staff were disinterested expensive restaurants
Review 44:hill top location
Review 45:Only thing - found the bed to be a bit small.
Review 46:Great location, great view.
Review 47:WiFi needs to be improved.
Review 48:Excellent location with beautiful view over bay of St. Tropez. Small and familiar hotel with good and friendly service.
Review 49:After 5 there is not much to do apart from have a beer and prepare for dinner (very few options in the old town) this was not a bad thing as we only had one night We didnt look too far afield so maybe the new town was close and well equipped St Tropez not too far away anyway.
Review 50:Lovely little hilltop town. Nice room with a great view of the area around st tropez which is a short drive away. Dinner at Le Pescadou next door was a real treat. Over all a nice break after the rigours of sightseeing in Cannes etc
Review 51:WIFI only available in the common areas, not in the rooms, but not a big problem.
Review 52:A great location with fine views all around. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and the fresh squeezed orange juice was especially good. The room was a bit small but adequate for our needs and well equipped and very clean. We were out enjoying the area anyway so not a problem. We definitely would recommend this reasonably priced hotel!
Review 53:The location is exceptional. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good, but the fact that you can take it on the terrasse with that fabulous view is just great.
Review 54:The walls were a bit thin.
Review 55:The location of the hotel was great, the view, amazing. The staff were helpful, the room made up everyday. They also had a comfortable lounge area where the wifi signal was strong.
Review 56:A reasonably priced hotel for St Tropez area. Hotel located in lovely hill side village Gassin with lovely view over St Tropez. Hotel is conveniently located in the restaurant area, and in fact above one of the restaurants!
Review 57:Nothing.
Review 58:We have stayed before and will hopefully stay again. Gassin is a classic hilltop village near to St Tropez and the beaches, so in terms of location it is just superb. As a hotel / restaurant this ticks all the boxes especially as the food is inspired by Provence. The staff are just delightful. We would not hesitate to recommend and it is certainly great value for money.
Review 59:The room was meant to have an on sweet bathroom with shower and bath, the bathroom was chocolate brown with a little port hole window which if you stood in the bath you could be seen by dinners eating at the restaurant a on the terrace. The shower was attached to the bath tap which if you needed a shower you would have to stand with it and hold it yourself in order to shower. Bedroom was old small and very cluttered! With two windows that looked straight into someone else is home. We would not recommend this place to anyone. We paid good money for two nights, very very poor!!!:-(. And also the morning we left there was nobody around to give our room key back no drop box the hole place was locked up.!
Review 60:Glass in is a very nice place, Bello visto had a very nice restaurant looking over the valley.
Review 61:The owner was so nice and friendly and helpful. The room was so big and modern and comfortable, with everything we might have wanted. I just loved being there and would go back with no hesitation at all
Review 62:No wi-fi in room. Expensive breakfast. Only bread and coffee or tea. Out-of-the-way place to have an alternative.
Review 63:Pretty hilltop town with beautiful views. Not much to do in town but nice restaurants. One day enough.
Review 64:the internet didn't work in our room and the room was a bit dark. The toilet was tight but worked fine.
Review 65:the town of Gassin is wonderful by itself. The hotel is well located. From the terrace we could see some charmy back streets. I definitely recommend here for a romantic stay. Parking is public/open but it seems safe due to the size of the village.
Review 66:Owner tried to over charge us. He didn't like we did not take hisoverpriced breakfast. Made it seem like his credit card machine was notworking and wanted us to pay cash for our stay. When we told him all wehad was another cc, the machine worked.
