Reviews for Tiara Miramar Beach Hotel & Spa

Review 1:We had the need of logging on to my company's network as I have to work continuously as I do all over Europe. I had an issue, contacted the concierge and for 3 days no one Was Able to help me log on to my company's von. I contacted my office it sept and they told me that the was a block at the hotel. I discussed this with the hotel and they denied that there might have been a block for me accessing my office. I found confirmation both on the web and again from out it department that high encrypted vpns in France in public places are blocked. As I was fed up with not getting any truthful replies from the hotel and my need to do some work I left the hotel after three days and they em mediator told me that no monies were refundable. This is a very unprofessional approach but the worst is being lied to.

Review 2:L

Review 3:Cabs to go a 15 minute ride were too expensive. E30 to go down the road is extortionate!!

Review 4:Overall, a very luxurious spot and every comfort available. Absolutely loved it.

Review 5:Hotel lacked evening atmosphere - very very quiet in the evenings even in the restaurants so you really had to go out.

Review 6:Beautiful location. Staff very helpful and attentive a special mention to the lady who looks after the sun loungers, but all staff were very good.

Review 7:Service by staff. Generally the staff were all very young (possibly inexperienced) which could be the problem. Poolside service in particular was not very good with very limited menu for snacks etc.

Review 8:Location oceanfront with pool

Review 9:It all felt 'try too hard' from the moment we checked in where rather than being checked in at a desk in the normal way we were ushered into a sitting room for a 'welcome juice'- but not really made to feel welcome! We were just left there for about 10 minutes not really knowing what was going on. Eventually someone came over to take our passports and a credit card - and took them away- a bit of a no no really. Eventually someone came to take us to our room, which was nice enough- as would be expected at a 5 star hotel. The food in the restaurant was ok but nothing to write home about. Breakfast buffet food was lukewarm with flies around the cold meats and cheese. Service at the pool and 'beach' was almost non existent. When we asked about the availability of transport from the hotel to the local town we were met with confusion- surely we had a car?! Would have expected some kind of hotel taxi facility based on it's location and the price.

Review 10:Furnished as you would expect a 5 star hotel. Good air conditioning and room facilities. The staff were pleasant enough.

Review 11:Restaurant is terrible, staff were inexperience, Fred was hopeless, not at all a 5 stars waiter. Here and there were dirty, the chairs have probably not cleaned for a whole season.

Review 12:Location is Ok, Front desk was 5 stars level.

Review 13:as a seasoned global traveller and having been to quite some special (Leading or Small Luxury) hotels the Miramar truly tops a lot of them. What an outstanding and dedicated service !!

Review 14:expensive but not that exciting spa; far from the city; no any shops nearby; no anything interesting except the hotel itself at all; not so good English of the staff; too expensive food; we were switched off Wifi immediately we paid the stay/checked out, despite we had several expensive spa procedures ahead before leaving; thin walls between neighboring rooms on balconies; small gym (just a few of apparatus).

Review 15:close to the sea (hotel territory, but it's not about sand beach), clean territory in general, clean pool, small garden, some of the staff were quite nice.

Review 16:It would have been perfect if an area had been available by the sea for guests with dogs to use sun loungers.

Review 17:Very friendly staff who made us feel welcome with our large dog

Review 18:Room Service messed up our written breakfast order.

Review 19:The Veranda that looks out to the ocean. Bed was extremely comfortable. Easy to get to the location. Staff were fantastic, friendly, professional, efficient.

Review 20:Room service only operates fully when restaurants are open. Nothing for children to eat during certain times of the day - not a family friendly hotel

Review 21:A beautiful hotel with fantastic views

Review 22:At times there was a smell in the corridor, restaurant could be a bit better.

Review 23:It was a surprise to see such a nice place in the rocky shore. Nice spacious room - it was a junior suit. Well decorated and maintained.

Review 24:A shame they have got rid of an area of garden which has been replaced by serried ranks of four-poster canopied sunbeds.

Review 25:The views are exquisite, and the comfort of the room top notch.

Review 26:EVERYTHING...apart from the weather!

Review 27:services and staff could do better. Slow reaction to requests from customers

Review 28:quiet atmosphere

Review 29:Fish smil on elevator

Review 30:Nothing

Review 32:The staff, the service was excellent

Review 33:Food and drink good but very over priced

Review 37:Dog cod go to the beach

Review 38:Great service great with dog

Review 39:Not experienced staff

Review 40:Good location and beautiful view, away from noise in high season

Review 41:Very small gym with only one treadmill. Only a very small bar for evening drinks.

Review 42:Rooms were very nice. lovely Breakfast area.

Review 43:Sometimes there were rubbish in the water

Review 44:The best general manager! Very good chief cook. Good service.

Review 45:The friendliness of the staff and the enormous terrace off our bedroom

Review 46:Amazing property overlooking the Mediterranean.

Review 47:Superb customer service , absolutely 1st class from the manager down to the cleaners . You cannot fault it

Review 48:The personal attention from the staff

Review 49:Extra payment for additional children( more than 2 people) even if you buy 3-4 person room/suite. Insult given the rates.

Review 50:Apart from Breakfast , the food was poor and not up to 5 star standard

Review 51:Chaotic service in restaurant

Review 52:Balcony Swimming pool Easy access to all Car parking

Review 53:Fabulous staff, beautiful location. Rooms very attractive

Review 54:food at Pool restaurant not up to standard of South of France

Review 55:Decor and setting

Review 56:Beautiful room and view.

Review 57:Poor food for the money both at breakfast and dinner

Review 58:Friendly and helpful staff

Review 59:The exaggerated prices of the bar and the mini bar. Bottle of small coke Euro 10

Review 60:The views and the staff.

Review 61:None.

Review 62:Location. Privat beach. View from windows and restaurant. Silence. Ideal staff.

Review 63:Lack of vegetarian food

Review 64:Almost everything

Review 65:Service

Review 66:Location Facilities Quality

Review 67:Breakfast too expensive!!

Review 68:All is positive, and the hotel is.....simply awesome!!!

Review 69:Restaurant prices

Review 70:Attentive and friendly service Excellent rooms Good food

Review 71:Highly variable. Some very rude staff. Clearly a hotel with difficulties bedding in. Not up to a five star ratibg yet I'm afraid

Review 72:Location Some of the staff were great

Review 73:There was construction noise that began at 8:00 AM that prevented us from having breakfast on our terrace. Also, there was a problem with the room service: our room service menu was not collected the night before and was still hanging on the door in the morning requiring us to call the reception to have someone come to get it…and when the breakfast did arrive, we did not receive exactly what we had ordered. Surprising, actually, for such a lovely hotel. It didn't ruin our stay, though, and we would consider returning...after the construction period is in the past!

Review 74:Loved the beach platform, the lounge chairs and especially the stairway into the sea. The heated pool was delightful. The restaurant had a nice menu and the meals were beautifully presented and were delicious (*although the seating was not very comfortable…seats too deep requiring multiple pillows in back) The staff was excellent and the hotel in perfect condition…except (see below)

Review 75:The hotel is closing for a major renovation: while closed they need to gut the place, re-train or replace most of the staff, and hire a new chef. I have travelled to France for 25+ years and this hotel achieved a new milestone: the worst meal in France...ever! The sister hotel up the road is GORGEOUS and gives great hope that this place could emerge beautifully after the re-do. I would rather have spent double than feel this ripped off.

Review 76:The location/view is great. But that is where it ends.

Review 77:you have to book in advance everything: table at restaurant, chairs on beach, etc. This is confusing, if you don't do this - you have a chance to stay hungry the whole day or run between pool and beach all the time.

Review 78:Tranquility

Review 79:Loved the position of hotel nestled in the rocks around lovely gardens. Overlooking the sea where you could swim directly from the hotel. Also has a swimming pool

Review 80:It is not about "dislike" but I think other travellers should be aware that if you have small children as we do, the seaside is not really designed for them as there's no sand or rocks even - a straight drop into ocean - great if you are an adult, not so great for children or the adult parents!

Review 81:1. Staff 2. Location 3. Service was excellent

Review 82:The quality of food is abhorrent.....even a simple chicken salad was inedible: the worst food I have ever experienced in France and I have been every year for over 20 years. Ever! The interior design is tired, worn and ugly. The beach side is bad and the service horrible. The pool area is unpleasant. The management of this hotel needs to start from scratch. It could be great but its so far from it. The gym makes you feel like you're in prison, not on vacation with dirty floors, bad equipment, etc.

Review 83:The setting on the water's edge is beautiful.

Review 84:a little tired on doer but having a refurb after sept of this year

Review 85:good sea side hotel . food good. have made good usage of the bay /inlet to allow for great swimming facilities .

Review 86:The hotel need renovation ( they plan for October)

Review 87:Staff on the recepcion and on the Beach was perfect. Thanks to Lady on the beach and Benoit, who helped us with parking and luggage. The restaurant was good. Private beach. Our room was enough large for three person.

Review 88:Menu could be a bit bigger and more varied. We look forward to the renovation.

Review 89:The hotel is being renovated in the fall, but we still found it in almost 4 star condition. The GM is clearly a professional- this is not a family run hotel but a small chain. Yet with a really good general manager we felt that it was well run. The staff and guests seemed happy- the sign of a well run hotel. Having the beach, spa pool and pool was great for us and our kids. Staff is very good. Beach was run very very well making it relaxing and easy. Front desk staff very helpful. Restaurant staff very good. Breakfast was excellent. The bustle of Cannes is fun, but it was very nice to come back to the calm of the hotel after a day there.

Review 90:Nothing in particular except for the bathroom which should have some sort of ventilation for excess moisture. The restaurant menu should have at least one dish of steak meat for those who are not too fond of fish.

Review 91:The staff was extremely nice, both at the hotel and in the restaurant. Our room was great with a nice little terrasse over looking the sea. Certainly a recommendable hotel.

Review 92:The rest is "deplorable" - rooms, upholstery, restaurant (lousy service and even lousier food), bathrooms, etc, are very old and filthy. No woth the money you pay for it. Not to recommend at all.

Review 93:The only thing that the hotel can boost with is its location right at the sea and that's about all.

Review 94:Old glory but with typical french charm where the personel still knowsyour name. Seemw of last siecle but may not change. By the way marvulousviews out of the chambres

Review 95:The hotel and its facilities need updating and redecorating, the spa wasclosed but it may have bee early in the season.

Review 96:We have been visiting this hotel for 14 years, the location is superband the staff friendly and helpfull, all speak perfect english.

Review 97:The room was nice and the veiw was excellent.

Review 98:Unfortunatley, we were jsut passing through so we did not have time toexperience the hotel area. It was outside the conjested areas of Canesand had a beatiful setting. We also were there during the off season soa lot of things were not open. I would stay there again.

Review 99:A little over-priced for a four star hotel that is clearly in need ofrenovating. The Spa and well-being center was closed.

Review 100:Very friendly staff and warm atmosphere. Well situated with beautifulviews. In need of renovating which is apparently due to happen inSeptember of this year.

Review 101:Main restaurant food only average and pricey! If you don't have your owncar it is quite difficult to get around and/or visit neighboring citiessuch as Cannes.

Review 102:Quiet and restful in sea view room with private balcony/patio.

Review 103:Breakfast a little too expensive 21 euros

Review 104:The location, the private beach, the view, the professional staff

Review 105:Hotel is good, but very bad.

Review 106:Rooms are spacious, luxurious, and views over the garden and sea are fantastic.

Review 107:Everything was just perfect.

Review 108:The spa was not operated fully.

Review 109:The hotel needs a serous renovation, which is apparently planned.

Review 110:Very friendly staff, I come almost every year.
