Reviews for Oak Tree Inn

Review 1:Too few electrical sockets (in room 1) Had to unplug bedside light to boil kettle. Leg missing from bedside cabinet nearer window. Tipped over when I looked for socket.

Review 2:Friendly reception

Review 3:Nothing I can think of.

Review 4:The room was great as it was away from the main pub. Room was very comfortable. The staff and owner were lovely and very helpful. We didn't expect much for the price but were pleasantly surprised :)

Review 5:Under the bed was so much rubbish including champagne corks, haven't been clean for weeks. Could not get out of place to let dog out was all locked up. No hair dryer as advertised , breakfast was barely warm

Review 6:Was much cheaper than advert

Review 7:Lovely friendly pub the landlady was so pleasant the room was super and the breakfasts really set us up for the day. Then after a day sightseeing it was lovely to relax in the pub and have a really nice pub meal.

Review 8:Small point but there are not enough power sockets it room. Had to unplug lights to plug in kettle or phones. Perhaps an extension lead would help.

Review 9:Very clean and pleasant room. Spacious and everything needed. Nice local pub downstairs with good basic food. Quite noisy/ lively weekend we stayed but went quiet by 12 which was fine by us. Breakfast freshly cooked and good. Lady running place is very friendly if rather busy!

Review 10:For me pub had no real ales had to go elsewhere for a real local brew but advertised in bar "cask beers", had to ask for tea and coffee making ingredients as somebody ran away with spare key so no room service 1 day evening menu a bit repetative, breakfast last day was a bit fraught no cereals out and breakfast order mixed up

Review 11:Staff were very welcoming upon arrival, room was warm and tidy, facilities were great, position was right for us nice and local,

Review 12:The bathroom was too cramped for our liking.

Review 13:Separate entrance to room. Parking available directly outside entrance door. Choice of breakfast and availability of evening meals. Homemade Soups are excellent. Within easy reach of Stanley Indoor Bowls Centre. Good Entertainment on Saturday evenings, yet undisturbed in room whilst it continued after we has retired.

Review 14:sadly we were attending a wedding, due to the room being inside the oak tree inn we had to be back for a set time. but the manager did advise if she'd of known we were not wanting to come back till late we could of had a room which was located next door to the pub. (Which is part of the oak tree inn business)

Review 15:Staff very friendly, warm and welcoming

Review 16:Room sad and worn out, old furniture smells, beds noisey, boiler failed 2nd night (no hot water or heating) layout of W/C, lack of soudproofing between floors. This hotel is under new management and may improve in time.

Review 17:Location Friendly and helpful staff

Review 18:The accommodation was lovely and the staff couldn't have done more for you. Breakfast in the morning was a lovely added bonus. The locals certainly made you feel welcome in the pub

Review 19:We had two rooms our room was fine but the other room was dreadful they had two twin beds which were very hard. The bathroom if you can call it that has toilet that is adjacent to a radiator which was on full and burnt your knees. Can't have a drink cause the kettle won't fit under the tap. Never again

Review 20:Brealfast

Review 21:No parking, drunks at the bar at 11am, unable to check in when I requested, bar coming to pieces, smoking in the toilets, hand driers not operating, etc etc

Review 22:Absolutely nothing

Review 23:The apartment was lovely. Good size and well thought out. Only critisism would be that there was no cooking equipment provided, nor plates and bowls etc, despite there being a hob in the kitchen area. Staff were more than happy to help with every request and were very friendly.
