The rooms are located in a building restored in 1990, with full respect to the original architectural style of 1881. The 2nd floor rooms have a balcony and the first floor rooms have a terrace where you can relax or enjoy your coffee.
Manganos is 4 miles from the center of town, 2 miles from the airport and one mile from the nearest beach. In Kambos itself, you can explore the green valley covered with citrus groves and impressive buildings.

Review 1：You definitely need a car in Chios island, but in high season even 1 week prior to my visit, I barely managed to find one. I met some other visitors in the Island who were not as lucky as me, they were quite unhappy, confirming how much you need a car for a good holiday in Chios. So, you need to plan and rent your car much earlier. You may also rent a motorbike, for families like mine with small kids, that's not an option.
Review 2：If you are looking for an authentic stay in Chios Island, you have three options : 1) you may stay in Pyrgy village, 2) you may stay in Mista village 3) you may stay in a mandrin farm house in Kambos. Manganos is a good example of the third option. The house itself is very nice, the location is good, it is close to Chios and Karfas.
Review 3：I liked the calm historical atmosphere of the hotel. The hotel is an ancient mansion among the citrus trees. It is close to the citrus museum.The breakfast includes variety of delicious homemade citrus jams and cookies.The lady, owner of the hotel, is also very friendly and helpful. We asked for advice where to eat well in the island. You feel at home there.
Review 4：Towels and sheets need to be renewed as their colours are a bit greyish.
Review 5：The hotel is in a lovely area of Chios where you can relax and have breakfast among citrus trees. 10 minutes drive to the centre of Chios. The rooms are well decorated, spacious and clean.
Review 6：the staff(except that woman) can't speak english. i advise to check out before the woman goes.
Review 7：the hotel is in the midst of the orange trees.the breakfast had got so many alternatives n was delicious.the woman who can speak English n her daughter, Johanna, were wonderful.the location is middle of Chios Port n South Chios.(7 kilometers to Chios Port).the woman showed honour fresh orange juice n traditional desert from Greece n Turkey(name of it is lokma) to us when we went to hotel.
Review 8：Nice choice for calm and relaxing stayings. It's a family-run apartment surrounded by citrus trees. Breakfast is very good with variety of homemade jams, orange and lemon juice.
Review 9：If the landlady is not at home you can't communicate with her old father who doesn't know English :( Also the towels need to be renewed.
Review 10：Very good location for the ones who loves Kambos area. Variety of foods at the breakbast which is open buffet. Nice family run hotel. Good base to travel along the island and close to Chios town. You can easily follow the arrows to Citrus or Apomero.

Review 17：Manganos is a great place. It's an old building and has its own character. You feel the atmosphere of the previous centry and breath fresh country air. It's also so useful for families with small children who can't stay untill late hours in tavernas and restorants. You can sleep children in the room and enjoy your drinks in the garden surrounded by orange and lemon trees. The owners and their daughter Poli are very friendly and helpfull. If you are tried of modern and luxury hotels don't think even for a minute. And hurry up!! 'Cause soon people from Istanbul will discover this place and it will much more expensive and probaply will loose its characteristic. Enjoy!
Review 18：This hotel was fantastic. Very friendly staff and exceptionally clean. The breakfast includes a vast array of home-made products such as jams and cakes. Absolutely divine!
