The Bayrischer Hof has been owned by the Platzer family since 1949. It is a traditional yet modern hotel, comfortable for business travelers, vacationers and families alike.

Review 1：Nothing really. It was a little walk to places for dinner and a little away from the center of wels (but only a 10 min walk) but the restuarant at the hotel was open and handy so it didn't matter.
Review 2：Easy to find and walk to from the station. Very friendly and helpful staff. I arrived very early but was able to check in as my room was ready. Great breakfast and restuarant fantastic for dinner. Room was really clean and comfortable.

Review 14：Bar in old part of hotel didn't appear to be in use nor any evening restaurant. Very hot weather so could have done with air conditioning, though probably not a regular issue in Austria. Credit card reader did not work on check out. I had no further problems with my card drawing cash or 2 weeks worth of travel, so must have been the reader at fault.
Review 15：2 adjacent old hotels linked together by a modern reception and breakfast restaurant. Quite nice room and the breakfast selection was excellent. 2 minutes to train station and adjacent bus station. 10-15 minute walk to town centre and shopping area.
Review 16：On our check out the receptionist charged us twice for the parking, herefunded the overcharges amount but this "innocent" mistakemake me wonder if I want to return to that hotel for another stay.

Review 20：Going up from the ground to the first floor, the lighting on one of the staircases was poor. The hotel is at a crossroads and the rooms are not air conditioned so being a hot period, the window was open and noise was a problem from quite early on with traffic lights right outside. Saying that, there are other rooms that don't overlook the road. The bath forms the lower part of the shower but there was no plug in either of the rooms that we occupied.
Review 21：Only three minutes walk from the railway station. Warm welcome at reception. All other staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent spread for breakfast which is served from 0600 daily. Stayed for four nights and the wardrobe/cupboard/drawer space in the single room was adequate as were the en suite facilities. There is a restaurant in the hotel (closed weekends) serving a good choice of food albeit with a hint of nouvelle cuisine with a completely separate room for smokers. I would stay again
