Reviews for Hotel Azur
Review 1:The economic rooms, are very basic, 2 of the walls had no pictures, and the corridor was dark and only rough walls.
Review 2:The price was the best, and the breakfast was good, the croissanter was the best, I was missing musli though. (no bacon and egg it is in France ; ))
Review 3:No complaints
Review 4:Been to Sete and stayed at the Hotel Azur last June. That is why we stayed again. Walk past the bridges and under the railway to the inland sea, perfect.
Review 5:The hotel was a doss house with fleas in the rooms, the rooms were darkand tiny....they let dogs stay in rooms hence the fleas...We ended uphaving to pay extra for better rooms but still was not much better butdidn't have the fleas. Photos misrepresent this hotel ...the guy onthe desk was helpful as he could be...that's the only good thing Ican report.
Review 6:Stay was spoiled by an argument over the price of the room. I think this was probably owing to a glitch in the booking system. But this wasn't helped by reception who were aggressive and unhelpful.
Review 7:It was close to the train station enabling a relatively easy start to our journey home. Bed sheets and room generally was clean. Cleaning lady was charming.
Review 8:No air-conditioning so the room became very hot....so left window open but then street/cars noisy!
Review 9:The man who organised breakfast was happy & friendly & the breakfast area was nice. A 5 min. walk from the train station.....10 min. walk to town centre.
Review 10:The location is great, it's a walking distance everywhere and a short 4 minutes walk to the train station across the old steel bridge (north from the hotel). I had a twin room with a beautiful view over the canal. The standard is just basic but I wasn't looking for anything more (I didn't spend too much time in the hotel, there is plenty to do and see in the town and on the beach). The Hotel is located on the opposite side of the town from the beach (you can't have everything), but there are buses no.3 and no.9 going to the beach from the train station and from the town center. Ask for a map of bus routes at the hotel reception. A bus ticket is just 1 euro.
Review 11:We had one night as a stop over. Suited our needs perfectly. 15 minutes stroll to nice restaurants. The outstanding thing about the property is the helpfulness of the staff.
Review 12:The room was roasting, tiny, No aircon, a phone in the middle of the bed head and a flashing blue hotel azur sign outside the window ensured we got no sleep. Construction noise in the morning also
Review 13:Nice view, location and staff.
Review 14:Nothing.
Review 15:Definitely an ideal location for us, so close to the station and convenient to visit Georges Brassens' cemetery and the museum. Friendly receptions at the hotel - our third time stay at this hotel. The room was spacious enough and the comfortable and clean bed and the room.
Review 16:The woman owner should leave dealing with patrons to staff. She has a personality problem. I paid her in full for our stay and an hour later as we were walking to our train she ran down the road, demanding that we had not paid !! I returned with proof but her attitude was still bad Be ware she is a Vixen
Review 17:Staff and facilities great Location excellent 10 minute walk to train station
Review 18:The private parking in May was the same as the high summer, but there was space on the street
Review 19:It was a good location and a nice view of the water. The breakfast had a huge selection
Review 20:The rooms are very small. You almost have to jump over the bed to enter the room or to access bathroom. bathroom impossible to seat on toilette in front ,just on the side.
Review 21:The view.
Review 22:The room was very small. The bathroom was like a broom cupboard. Plenty of hot water but the shower head could not be adjusted. Shortage of towels, only two bath towels given.
Review 23:Easy parking in the hotel grounds
Review 24:Helpful,friendly staff. Spotlessly clean throughout. Ten minutes walk to centre. Five minutes walk to station with easy access from airport and to Agde, Beziers, Montpellier etc. Great view facing canal. Excellent breakfast compared to other more expensive French hotels I've stayed in. Safe location. Great value for money.
Review 25:I have stated my views and any thing I was not completly satoisfied with I addressed with the staff at the time and they attended to it throughout no complaints from us unless one likes to comment on the last two days of storms but "hey" who can one blame for that!!
Review 26:Staff all staff was friendly and proffessional our French speaking is very limited and they were most patient and helpfull during our first visit to this area. Sete is most interesting although could be better cared for as a Town dog mess is a problem the location lends itself to interest, and French Culture of interest the Azur Hotel staff satisfies all requirements of the holiday maker or business visitor I heard it mentioned that the breakfast could be more varied but as we stayed longer maybe than many other guests what was on ooffer was in keeping with the price one would expect tp pay and the quality was good maybe the fishermen was a bit too close to the hotel entrance but we did not find them offensive in any way.
Review 27:Quite a hike to town centre but good exercise! The traffic was a little noisy. Otherwise fine.
Review 28:I loved the view from my window and the group of men who gathered to chat by the fishing boats below. Also, the proximity to the station was good. The staff were very helpful and friendly
Review 29:The staff are so helpful. My friend and I couldn't start our car on the last day of our stay and the receptionist came out into the pouring rain to get her car to jump start us. Thankyou you saved the day! Lovely family atmosphere and right by the canals.

Review 56:Shower control. Cold not avoid either scalding, freezing; turning offor full bore sending water past the shower curtin. No power point near bed
Review 57:Basic, simple accomodation. View over river. Proximity to rail station (Gare). Helpful receptionist with good English. Quiet
Review 58:It is a former IBIS Budget hotel (enough said?). Thin walls and towels. Mold in the shower.
Review 59:Staff - friendly and helpful. Location - about a 15 minute walk from the train station.
Review 60:If you were concerned about being very close to the center of the action, it's a little bit of a walk, For me that wasn't a big deal. I was coming by train and was glad to have such a short walk to/from the train station.
Review 61:Very pleasant staff, good breakfast, good location if you coming by train (as it's so close to the train station), quiet
Review 62:Bed bugs. Whilst this doesn't necessarily mean the hotel isn't clean (travellers bring in bed bugs) I thought it was still important to note. Check your bed carefully if you stay at this hotel!
Review 63:Close to the station. Friendly staff.
Review 64:Great location on the waterfront, with a view of the rotating bridge. Fantastic value for money. Friendly staff who didn't mind 2 drenched cyclists dripping all over the foyer.
