Reviews for Kalnterimi
Review 1:What i loved is that it was very clean. Sharp. updated, Good price. Two couples can easily stay there as there was a first floor as well as a second floor. Also it was next door to a wonderful restaurant. Also it was in the middle of everything.
Review 2:The setting was spectacular, the accommodations were great, clean, comfortable and very spacious. The owners of the hotel were kind, generous and warm. We will definitely go back. The views were amazing.
Review 3:The room is amazing and looks exactly like the pictures. Very spacious and modern. The location is perfect, right on the main street, close to the entrance(***important because there are no cars allowed inside and streets are cobbled therefore we had to carry our luggage the entire way). Beautiful views of the sea and the city from your window. The staff were exceptionally friendly an helpful.
Review 4:Very hard to access if you have a car, you need to drive up the hill park at entrance to castle carry your cases about 200 meters up to apartment then find a park for your car which for me was around 1 km down hill on side of road. All worth it to stay up at castle but could prove a problem for others.
Review 5:A roomy apartment in the center of the castle village making it worth the stay just for the dreamy location.
Review 6:Nothing
Review 7:Everything was as advertised, it's also a bonus that the property is by the town's entrance, as vehicles are not allowed in, and you have to carry your own luggage.
Review 8:nothing except maybe that the upper town was closed for tourists regrettably so we have to come back.
Review 9:The room, the place, the people and the location, really everything.
Review 10:Breakfast is provided by a nearby cafe not owned by the hotel. Service and behaviour of staff there is terrible. Breakfast served is poor.
Review 11:In the facinating castle of Monemvasia built inside the stone walls of the fortress with unlimited views to the Myrtoan sea. So private, so romantic. The room was clean, huge and nicely decorated. The couple Fotini and Paraskevas who run the hotel are kind and helpful.
Review 12:location very close to a night club and the street. Couldn't sleep well due to noise.
Review 13:Staff, location (very close to the gate, taverns, bars), cleanliness, comfort room.
Review 14:Tough to park before the rock. We had to drop luggage and then go park over a km away. It's the same for everybody/ every hotel. But Monemvasia is worth some efforts!
Review 15:We had an apartment with 3 levels: master bedroom, bedroom (same size but not as light) and living room. The great part was: perfect location just at the very beginning of the pedestrian rock (100 m to the left - who wants to haul luggage any further?), having 2 bathrooms, and a kitchenette. Owners were very nice: try their wine and the almond desert - yum.The cherry on the cake was a perfect decoration, felt luxurious for a reasonable price.
Review 16:Very tasteful apartment with some nice touches. Quite close to the entry to the old town - not too difficult to find.
Review 17:Hard mattress, small bathroom and noise from the bar opposite
Review 18:Beautifully furnished and in a handy location just inside the gate to Monemvasia.
Review 19:Small bathroom, difficult to enter if tall.
Review 20:Space, staff, amenities, location. Clean. Very good choice also for winter.
Review 21:Charming hotel, good location, delightful staff
Review 22:The owners, Fotini and Paris, made us feel like family. The location is very close to the entrance to the walled city, and the rooms are large and wonderfully appointed. We even received coffee and win on our arrival, free of charge. Our room also had a beautiful view of the sea. We really hope to stay here again, soon.
Review 23:Noise from at night from the near-by open-air bar, shower withplastic curtain
Review 24:This is an excellent guest house with easy access from the publicparking spot. It provides two double beds in two different levels withsea view in an independent traditional house. My family and I had animmediate sense of cleanness and freshness, which is an extra star pointwhen you enter to a new place. Just to pick out a point for improvementwould be to put glass instead of the plastic shower curtain. The couplewho takes care of the business and are placed in the shop underneathwere extremely nice and helpful We had read in previous reviews aboutthe noise at night time coming from the near by open-air bar. This is afact, even with the windows closed, but we did not mind. No breakfastincluded, but this was no secret at the time of booking. However, we hadbreakfast in Xrisovoulo bar/restaurant for 7.5€ each five steps awayfrom our front door and this was superb. We did not bother to goanywhere else for food during our stay, difficult to find anythingclassier than this in the whole area. We plan to come back.
Review 25:Some noise at night in the high season from the bar right across thestreet... But nothing really to complain about.
Review 26:Fotini and Paraskevas are wonderful hosts. They welcomed us in the bestpossible way and it was a pleasure chatting with them during our stay. The large guest room has a lovely design and the hot-tub did the jobwell. Liked the view from the bed directly to the sea and the rising sunin the morning. Breakfast with Fotini's homemade marmelade and honeyin the cafe with view on the open sea.
Review 27:Nothing!
Review 28:Friendly hostess, Immaculate and Spcious room, incredibly comfortable bed and jaccuzzi, All inside a walled ancient city with outstanding views
Review 29:The room was absolutely fabulous. Perfect view of the sea. The staff were so helpful and accomodating. The room we had was very near the entrance to the castle walls. It had high vaulted ceilings, plenty of windows to let the fresh sea air in, and a great shower. The owners of the store next door who assist with check in/out were so eager to please. We had complimentary wine tasting, local honey wine tasting and a small sample of her handmade, all natural soap. What a treat! I will definitely return here!
Review 30:The only downside of this room is that if you stay during a busy period, it is a little noisy at night.
Review 31:Paraskevas and Fotini are the best hosts ever! They were very polite, friendly, joyous, helpful and hospitable! They even gave us some of their local homemade products as a goodbye gift! The room is of impecable cleanliness and very comfortable! The hot tub works great. The wi-fi is very fast (once you get it to work). You'll love the minimal design and the open space it offers. It also has a tv monitor on which you can connect an external hard drive or a usb stick and listen to music or watch movies! Monemvasia is an amazing, magical place. We will definitely visit again soon!
Review 32:Kalntmera difficult to find as no signposts for it and no-one in village heard of it. NOT a Hotel, just 2 rooms owned by a shop-keeper, who you have to find before checking in. No reception, so on leaving, couldn't check out until after shop had opened, after 9.am and we were ready to leave at 8 am. Breakfast in Kafeneon over the road, as no dining room, and very basic - just coffee, orange juice, and toast, at extra cost to room, and at 80 euros per night, would expect a light breakfast, or at least tea/coffee in room. No shower curtain, and shower-room so small, whole room and everything in it got soaked as soon as shower turned on, so have to move everything outside before turning on shower.
Review 33:Room excellent, pristine clean, but although kettle in room, no tea-bags or coffee or milk provided. Ad offers mini bar - not there - so had to go to one and only shop to get tea etc. Owners very friendly, lovely! Would stay there again, but next time a little more prepared. Lovely sea view from room - shame no balcony or anywhere to sit outside room. Good location in respect of facilities, shops, bars, etc. and close to entrance of Monemvasia.
Review 34:The noise-voices from the "kalnterimi" and the bar all day long due to the liveliness and "motion" of the place
Review 35:Foteini and Paraskevas very friendly and kind hosts. The view from our room was fantastic. Great hot tub
Review 36:If you are looking for house warm hospitality, convenience and value for money at the top level this is the best choice. The room is beautiful with minimal architecture decoration and amazing view to the sea. Fotini is going to welcome you and guard your stay ensuring that you are always satisfied by the room and the hospitality. The property is situated in the castle and only 1 minute walk from the entrance. Coffee, Sea view, food, breakfast and night drinks under the moon only one step away from your stay. Michael - Nassia
