Reviews for Le Belvedere

Review 1:The location was dreadful, there were no restaurants open within walking distance and the food in the hotel was the worst we have ever had (really). We could not wait to leave and if it hadn't been late in the evening we would not have stayed.

Review 2:The lady on reception was excellent and very very helpful. She should be working in a much better hotel.

Review 3:No air-con No kettle in room

Review 4:staff very friendly and helpfull

Review 5:lovely owner and impressive views

Review 6:No aircon, only a fan, therefore bedroom very hot. Bed not very comfortable

Review 7:Clean room, good breakfast. Balcony with good views.

Review 8:stay too short

Review 9:Very clean, staff friendly

Review 10:Manager very friendly and spoke good English

Review 11:We didn't like leaving or the bat flying around the balcony.

Review 12:The big water tower made it easy to find. The parking was very convenient. The wifi was fast and the shower was good. The room was clean and quite.

Review 13:Distance to the beach. Nothing hot for breakfast.

Review 14:Staff especially receptionist were very obliging. Hotel was spotless including the pool. The weird tower outside that proved a useful landmark. View from the room.

Review 15:internet should be more stable, line is note permanently available

Review 16:manager was very friendly and professional, very good location for joining surrounding beaches, good food

Review 17:During our stay at the hotel 14/15 September this year, on the morning of our departure, money went missing from a wallet in my handbag which was left in the room while we were at breakfast, 260 euros to be exact. The only people having access to our room during this time was the cleaner and ourselves, who was cleaning the room as we left for breakfast. We firmly believe that the money went missing from the hotel premises and nowhere else, we have had negative responses from the hotel over many communications in the last week, therefore this is only window of opportunity to express our anger and to warn others who may stay at this hotel.

Review 18:Nothing comes to mind, we had a great time.

Review 19:Loved the relaxed atmosphere and the friendly staff. Room and ensuite bathroom was very comfortable and clean (albeit a bit small). Views from the balcony were fantastic, the sea on the left with the Pyrenees in front and to the right, great in the evening for chilling with a bottle of red!!! The local village is typically french with a couple of very friendly bars and a good restaurant. The hotel is about 3km from Saint Cyprien beach and there is a great long stretch of sand with plenty of space even during the peak season. The great thing is the whole area is totally french, not a McDonalds or fish and chip shop anywhere :-) :-). Most restaurants and bars in the area have no english speaking staff or menus, whilst this was not a problem for us it may cause an issue for people looking for comparisons with the spanish resorts. The spanish border is not far and I recommend the beautiful coastal route if going to one of the lovely french and spanish villages for a day trip. The weather was a little cloudy for the last three days, but it was warm and didn't interfere with our beach activities.

Review 20:Very hard mattresses and no air conditioning made for a sleepless night.

Review 21:Good location for a stop over with friends on our way to Spain. Large bedroom for 2 adults and 2 children. Good bathroom facilities.

Review 22:The staff were a bit inflexible (after being delayed on the roads wearrived late at night with small children and asked if there wasanywhere where we could get food and they basically said that we shoulddrive around the town to see which restaurants were open - they have arestaurant on the premises and I feel they could have sold us some breadrolls and ham etc if they really wanted to). There was no a/c in theroom and the bathroom smelled of drainage. We payed the same money atNovotel for a same size room a couple of hours drive away in France andthe Novotel was a hundred times nicer.

Review 23:We were able to have a room for four people (2 adults and 2 children)and they had a swimming pool. The bathrooms were newly decorated and ourroom had a balcony. The lady at the reception spoke English.

Review 24:Our friends were very surprised to find that the hotel was only rated 2stars as it was as nice that many we had stayed in which were ratedhigher. We very much enjoyed the games room and outdoor area, as well asthe big breakfast, and only wished that we had eaten dinner in therestaurant. Very nice!
