Reviews for Hotel Heritage
Review 1:The building is very old, making it almost impossible to end tall a lift. By bags were willingly carried up for me though.
Review 2:The decor is unique, and really adds to the atmosphere. My booking, inspite of being confirmed by Booking.com, had not got through to them. They juggled rooms and found me a space! I loved it there.
Review 3:The initial reception was indifferent - but proved helpful later when we needed it. We missed a lift - thank goodness only had to lug suitcases up one floor (and I have COPD)
Review 4:We were surprised at the comfort and good showers and towels for a 2* hotel.
Review 5:If you are looking for a run down, gloomy hotel with very worn carpets, stained toilet, damaged inner surface of bath which I consider unhygenic, then this is the hotel for you. If not choose another.
Review 6:Situation in the centre of town and the free overnight car park at rear of hotel.
Review 7:Very central for visiting Cognac
Review 8:Loved the Eccentric/bohemian feel, had a Great Vibe. Husband & wife were just Brilliantly Fab, Super Helpful....
Review 9:Good location
Review 10:fuzzy colors for an ancient building good bed but not excellent
Review 11:welcoming staff nice hall "gazebo" style it is in the centre of the town
Review 12:This hotel is beautifully decorated with bright colors and a very classic, but modern and quirky feel. The staff was great, and the bar very pleasing. My only regret was that we didn't get to try the restaurant, which looked amazing.
Review 13:The hotel had very few amenities and was very run down. The hotelsmelled of smoke. The breakfast was poor having very little of choicewith a charge of $9 euros.
Review 14:The madam of the hotel was accommodating. The wifi was working well. Theroom was clean.
Review 15:Nothing
Review 16:The hotel was "funky". Furniture painted on the walls of the corridors, paintings directly painted onto the walls and the dining room is bright colours and welcoming. The couple who own it are friendly as are the girls in the restaurant. They made us feel at home from the minute we arrived. It is in the centre of the paved main street of the town and all restaurants and attractions are within easy walking distance.
Review 17:room not cleaned on sunday and reception unmanned and restaurant closed on sunday and monday - guests not informed of this though.
Review 18:very clean, spacious, good food
Review 19:Cognac does not have much of a town centre the only thing to do is visit one of the distilleries which are quite a rip off. The hotel was noisy with a herd of cows (or so it sounded) on the floor above. At about 2230 each night a skip lorry arrives in the lane outside and then picked up the skip again at about 0600 the following morning. Hotel was very dingily decorated and the restaurant was closed on Monday. Cognac is not a very nice town Jarnac a few miles up river is a much nicer place.
Review 20:It was very convenient for the town centre and restaurants.
Review 21:No lift and having to carry heavy luggage upstairs
Review 22:We liked the very pretty patio dining área, the friendly and efficient staff and the delicious food.
Review 23:The breakfast provision was rather meagre and the bread stale by the time we got to the dining room.
Review 24:The hotel was very well situated, the staff were friendly and the room clean and pleasant.
Review 25:you can hear the next door neibough snoring, noice insulation is poor.
Review 26:we stayed 3 nights, we felt like at home. very good and friendly service. great location, right in the town center.
Review 27:Thought the breakfast was over-priced for what was offered.
Review 28:The bed was very comfortable. The shower had an ample flow of hot water(nothing to be taken for granted in hold French hotels). Everything wasvery clearn. The location was perfect for my purpose.
Review 29:Breakfast for EUR8 is OK if eggs are included and would like to have sugerfree cereals/ müsli as an alternative sweet cereals
