Reviews for New Malvasia
Review 1:Quite a small and dark bathroom, also the room wasn't ready when we checked in. Don't take heavy suitcases with you, the cobblestone path to the hotel isn't fit for bags on wheels so you'll have to carry it anyway.
Review 2:Awesome location, we had a room with sea view. Lovely breakfast.
Review 3:The pillow
Review 4:Beautiful hotel with friendly staff and a delicious breakfast, especially the omelette. The walk wasn't an issue, it's not far from the entrance at all, it's the cobbled streets that tourists may have an issue with, but then, this is another beauty of Monemvasia.
Review 5:1. carrying luggage up stairs (no elevator) 2. The bed structure was "odd" (bed frame was slightly elevated). One literally had to climb into bed.
Review 6:1. The day we left, the friendly person at the front desk and the breakfast staff insisted that we have an early breakfast. 2. The view from the outdoor terrace at sunset was lovely.
Review 7:Wifi didn't work in the room and the air condition was too strong for the size of the room. The overall quality of the room didn't corespond to the price..
Review 8:The location of the hotel in the castle.
Review 9:Pack light - its at the far end of the village and you have to carry your bag along the uneven cobbled street and up a lot of steps.
Review 10:Beautiful, peaceful location in the historic town of Monemvasia a short distance from the small centre. The hotel is sympathetically designed and furnished in keeping with its setting. Spacious room with lovely view over the town and beyond from large terrace.
Review 11:We didn't like that the receipt was only issued after our request. The windows were looking to the stairs, meaning you watch peoples' feet. Wifi was only available right next to the window or next to the entrance door.
Review 12:Traditional settlement, comfortable bed, very good, rich and fresh breakfast.
Review 13:Might tell people who book that it is the last hotel on the walkway and they have to drag their luggage quite a ways to get to it. Probably not advisable for seniors who are not in shape.
Review 14:Loved Monemvasia. Nice breakfast at hotel. Nice outdoor place to sit looking over the ocean with a bar.
Review 15:During the night there was some noise, maybe from the external unit of an air condition. Weak wifi signal.
Review 16:Budget room, small but cosy. Helpful staff. Forgot something in the room, was sent off the next day.
Review 17:Only one problem: wifi was working horribly unstable, so it was impossible to use it.
Review 18:This hotel is located at the far end of the castle, so it's really quite here, and in the evening you could sit with a glass of wine on the terrace and watch stars without anyone bothering. The room was very clean and comfortable, sea view. The stuff was friendly and helpful.
Review 19:Far end of town, down old cobbled walk. Can roll suitcases but a bit bumpy but everyone does it who stays on the Rock.
Review 20:Fine hotel experience. Excellent buffet breakfast. Very helpful front desk.Very quiet.Tables out front overlooking Aegean Sea. Fun to stay on the Rock (similiar to Rock of Gibralter).
Review 21:Difficult to reach especially when you are carrying luggages. When we arrived at night there was nobody to help us with the luggages. Our room was extremely small.
Review 22:Monemvasia is a fantastic place, the hotel is very well located inside the Castle, our room had splendid view over the sea and the castle. Comfortable room.
Review 23:we would have liked the option to have breakfast outside, but the breakfast was very good.
Review 24:The location at the end of the village. Beautiful views from the terrace - cool breezy even in mid-August. Wonderful old building beautifully renovated.
Review 25:Nothing!
Review 26:The location of the hotel, even though is far from the castle's main gate,is at the highest spot of the upper neighbourhood offering an amazing view.We enjoyed the full moon from the hotel's cafe, which is very romantic and relaxing especially at night. The room was very nice and clean and it is restored in such a way so that visitors have the sensation of living and being part of the Castle!Breakfast was rich and everything that was offered was fresh and tasty!
Review 27:Just be aware (we were) that you will have to drag your suitcases down a cobblestone path for about a US block. It is just part of the adventure, but it would not be easy for most elderly people if they travel alone.
Review 28:The views from our large balcony/patio were amazing. Great hotel staff.
Review 29:Confusing reception at the entrance to the castle. Stupid shower curtain that kept clinging to me in the shower. What hotels still have shower curtains? Uncomfortable platform bed. Had to get on hands and knees to get into !! Reception staff not at all welcoming and demanded passport.

Review 62:Reception clerk was very rude. There was no lobby that could be used bygroups for hanging out. Bed blanket looks very old and not so clean.
Review 63:Nice quiet location in the castle. Some rooms have no view but , it wasmentioned clearly. Breakfast was very nice for this type of hotel. Roomswere cleaned every day.
Review 64:No tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The shower, although a quirky shape due to the room layout, was a little small. No internet in the room (only in public areas and then it was low signal strength)
