Reviews for The Old Vicarage B&B
Review 1:Everything was absolutely perfect and we can't wait to return in the spring/summer. The owners are so welcoming and couldn't do enough for all of their guests. They have done such an amazing job in renovating the place. We enjoyed a lovely coastal walk, the views are breathtakingly beautiful! We enjoyed supper and breakfast in the vicarage and both meals were outstanding. Being animal lovers, their puppy Charlotte and kitty George made our stay even more special.
Review 2:The new puppy was too cute and we now miss her.
Review 3:Jaab and Meg are possibly the two most welcoming and accommodating people that I have ever met, and did all they could to make our stay as relaxing as possible. Everything about this B and B was top notch, from the delicious breakfasts to the spacious and tastefully decorated rooms. Loads of picturesque walks right on the doorstep and some breathtaking views from the rooms.
Review 4:The breakfast menu was both creative and delicious and the super-kingsize bed was incredibly comfortable. Easy access to nearby coastal path and beaches. The owners were very friendly and helpful
Review 5:The Old Vicarage is set in a beautiful remote spot about 10 minutes drive from Cardigan. Our hostess Meg made us feel really welcome, our room was spacious & comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We look forward to returning soon.
Review 6:Nothing !
Review 7:A charming getaway for those seeking a hideout far from the maddening crowd. A little tricky getting there but once you find it, it's a real jewel in the Crown. We were treated to a delightful meal by the lovely host with her excellent culinary skills. Just make sure you give her a day's notice . You won't be disappointed !
Review 8:Be aware that there is no dinner available nearby, so either eat before arrival or contact the hotel in advance to arrange something.
Review 9:Located a short walk outside the village, with a view over the fields. Run by a very friendly family, I felt most welcome. Large, lovely room with a wonderful bed and great view over the fields. Quiet and comfy. Lovely breakfast with home-baked bread, local or eco produce and beautiful view. I recommend staying a couple of days to enjoy the place and the amazing surroundings with the coastline and the village. A place for relaxation and resting a soul. Wish I could have stayed longer.
Review 10:The bed/bedding was too hot, perhaps a separate oversheet to use instead of the duvet would be an idea worth pursuing. I also understand that there should be one chair per person in the bedroom.
Review 11:The bedroom and bathroom were modern, light and airy and immaculate. The fresh milk in a flask was a nice touch.
Review 12:A beautiful old, but recently renovated house. A very spacious room, captivating view from the window! The business is quite new and run by a great, welcoming and very friendly couple. They have managed to create a very relaxing and chic environment for their guests, and they are still perfecting it. We really enjoyed our stay. An ideal combination of feeling simultaneously at home and on holiday with not a care in the world! The breakfast was great, too.
Review 13:This b&b is excellent value for money Meg an Jaap are wonderful host nothing was to much trouble the evening meal all fresh and beautiful a wonderful place to just chill out
Review 14:N/A
Review 15:Fab bedroom, modern and clean, with lovely views. (Quality teas and coffee in bedroom.) Great breakfast. Ideal location for stunning coastal/country walks, although down narrow country lanes.
Review 16:The narrow lanes and steep hills can lead to a bit of excitement when driving to or from The Old Vicarage! Fortunately, as our visit was out of peak season the roads were more of a pleasure than a pain. So very quiet in September, but I have to wonder what the roads in the area may be like during peak summer season or in wintery weather.
Review 17:Peaceful and quiet, The Old Vicarage is a real gem. From the warm welcome when we arrived to the delicious cooked Welsh breakfast, homemade bread and locally made jams at breakfast. Simple but elegant furnishings, comfortably and thoughtfully finished. A real place to enjoy an escape.
Review 18:far away from a village; no ocean view as described; Bathroom in room nr4 is very very small;
Review 19:new furniture; nice design in the whole house; comfortable bed; delicious breakfast;
Review 20:Meg the owner so friendly and nothing too much trouble. Rooms are beautifully decorated and very sympathetic to the age of the building, Excellent breakfast served in such a beautiful dining room.
Review 21:Quite isolated. You would certainly need a car. En suite needed updating which the owner acknowledged. Booking.com didn't mention that we could have ordered supper.
Review 22:Very spacious room. Home baked bread and locally sourced produce.
Review 23:The interior of the house was very tastefully decorated. We felt welcomed the minute we arrived to the time we left. The owners coundnt have been more helpful. We will visit again.

Review 25:Didn't have a bad experience. Only that we had to go home!
Review 26:Loved the style of the B&B, breakfast was tasty - homemade bread for toast was amazing! Owners were very friendly and welcoming :-)
Review 27:It was all good
Review 28:The size of the bed was amazing, breakfast was great and the setting is beautiful. Perfect get away. Owners are very warm and welcoming.
Review 29:Such a warm welcome. The room was beautiful, clean and modern with carefully restored period features. The lounge area was a lovely place to read. The breakfast was outstanding!!
Review 30:The beds were very comfortable which led to my wife asking us to change the bed at home. If I were to nitpick I would say that tea and coffee were provided in the bedrooms and sometimes there was no milk. I know I could have gone downstairs and ask for some without any fuss but instead choose to pinch my daughter's supply from her room I poured it in my freshly brewed tea and it had curdled. I suppose there's a moral in there. I have only marked the wifi down because it seemed to work best in our bedroom thus we had our daughter and friend in there constantly.
Review 31:Great breakfast, comfortable beds, friendly hosts and tolerant of our sometimes noisy dog. The whole establishment was nicely decorated creating a very relaxing and pleasant environment. I would recommend a stay. An evening meal and packed lunch will be provided on request . We took advantage of both of these services and were very pleased we particularly enjoyed the meal.
Review 32:The Vicarage is decorated to a very high standard and everything is beautifully presented. The King sized bed was a great bonus. The locally sourced food was delicious and fresh milk was provided in our room on arrival. Highly recommended.
Review 33:I have no negative comments to make.
Review 34:Everything! Room, house, gardens beautiful, clean comfortable and tactfully decorated. Men's cooking was amazing and used fresh ingredients. Very relaxing feel to the home and surroundings. Friendly staff. Home away from home.

Review 37:There was nothing that I did not like

Review 39:Young Family run bed and breakfast, very friendly and helpful. Very tasteful decor. Exceptionally clean. Locally sourced breakfast which was served to perfection. Would highly recommend.
Review 40:The Old Vicarage has the perfect combination of luxury as well as tranquillity. You can truly relax and enjoy your stay, as someone who really isn't a B&B fan (cluttered, tired old rooms and interfering hosts) I was expecting something I didn't enjoy but everything was just fantastic. The rooms are beautiful, simply but meticulously decorated to give you the luxury feeling but also like a retreat they're so relaxing. The breakfast was fantastic, lovely selection of local produce all home cooked. I wish we had also tried one of the evening meals because they smelt amazing! There's a lot of love and dedication gone into the place from the owners. Meg is fantastic and if you needed anything you know she'd of tried to sort it for you, but also let you enjoy your stay in peace and quiet.
Review 41:Lovely rural location with gorgeous views of the countryside and the sea; the hoteliers were friendly and very helpful to accommodate our needs; rooms were stylish and beds incredibly comfy; breakfast was delicious: as a vegetarian, cooked breakfast can sometimes feel like an 'afterthought' or poor relation to the meat version - not here!
Review 42:The only problem is that it will not be so easy to get thee if you don't go with your own car.
Review 43:The landscape is simply breathtaking and the perfect partner for it is this B&B. Great charm on the service, lovely hosts.
Review 44:The house is a combination of historical old world charm and a restoration that is impeccable in its attention to detail. The rooms are perfection and the common space downstairs is lovely. What trumps all though, is that the hosts are incredibly warm and welcoming. I felt like I was living with "family" and they even gave me a lift to Newport so I could enjoy some ale and dinner. It does not get any better than this!
