Review 2:Could not get my shower above lukewarm but everything else was lovely.

Review 3:Clean, warm with very comfortable bed in a rural location and nicely furnished. Good breakfast.

Review 4:Nothing at all it was all perfect for us

Review 5:I would recommend my families and friends to go there for the peace and quite my family really enjoy it unfortunatly it was one night.

Review 6:My husband thought the bed mattress was too hard but was fine for me...

Review 7:Malcolm and Angela were terrific.. Did everything to accommodate our needs..beyond the norm as we had a suitcase United took on another flight!

Review 8:Very small room. Made own tea at breakfast / no teapots. No vegetarian breakfast options.

Review 9:Location,beautiful gardens and very comfortable beds.Friendly helpful staff.

Review 10:I arrived late and was greeted by a very pleasant lady in her pyjamas! She took me to my room where, to both our surprise, someone had already decided he was going to stay in! Yes, they guy walked in the open front door, failed to see the doorbell and so when Jo one came he went upstairs and stole my room!!!! I was given the room he had booked and expected to like it!!!! I booked an upstairs front room and was given a ground floor rear room. Bathroom needed cleaning and the bed was huge but very hard and the pillows rock hard, flat and in desperate need of replacing. Breakfast was adequate. No one actually seems to be around. I left without any goodbye or how was your stay. I presume I paid by debit card!!!!!! Lovely house, beautiful gardens and presume the owners were there. At least I saw a guy who I think cooked my breakfast......

Review 11:Set in beautiful grounds with easy access to main roads and motorway. Very pleasant and peaceful surroundings and a 'chocolate box' picture of a place.

Review 12:Quiet; a lovely garden which was nice to relax in. Nice welcome . If visiting for leisure would be good location to visit a good range of nearby attractions.

Review 13:Not a bad experience, but the bedrooms were on the small side, especially with 2 single beds

Review 14:Friendly and helpful service, including a cup of tea on arrival. Very clean and comfortable. Good English breakfast

Review 15:If heading into Maidstone, the A249 outside can be stationary after 08:00. Plan for this, or research back roads to get to your destination. Nearest pub is 1.5miles away, but serves very good food in the evening.

Review 16:Nice quiet location in the countryside behind the Kent Showground. Rooms well presented, fantastic WIFI service, friendly owners. Good breakfast options.

Review 17:Nothing

Review 18:I received a warm welcome on arrival and offered a hot drink, which was much appreciated. My room was clear and comfortable, an excellent range of breakfast food, with cooked meals quickly and freshly prepared. The gardens provide a relaxing place to sit in this quiet location.

Review 19:Tiny room directly under the roof, heated up quickly, very uncomfortable, no chair, dust webs on the walls, interieur very simple, bathroom is old and has no window, breakfeast simlpe, coffee awful,

Review 20:We stayed here for a concert that was put on in the showground. It is a nice quiet B and B. We were allowed to check in early and had a nice breakfast the next morning. We will definite use again.

Review 21:* We stayed in the ground floor room next to entrance. Some sort of boiler noise started around 5am all the way until 6 ish. We were all waken up. Room upstairs where my parents stayed were not affected. * It could be benifit for more personal touch and hospitality. Only saw the host/hostess when we arrived, and cleaner lady helped us pay.

Review 22:* Location is super, just 10 min drive to Leeds castle, which is where we were heading.. * Beautiful garden, pond. Also got garden toys for kids, i.e. slides, swing and trampoline . My 3 year old was mad about it and didn't want to leave, which was great as it gave us time for unpacking and pakcing.

Review 23:Single sized room, with double bed pushed against window. Access very Difficult. Broken shower head and control very difficult to turn. Duvet old and rather soiled. Room very hot. Welcome lacking. A poor nights rest.ih

Review 24:Location

Review 25:Needs a freshen up paint wise. Probably too much furniture in a small room.

Review 26:Friendly staff, lovely location. As much tea and coffee as you want. Also didn't expect complimentary bathroom products

Review 27:Both times I have stayed at this B&B, when arriving nobody would be there to check in and I had to ring the bell for around 10 minutes until someone showed up. That would be the only negative point of the stay.

Review 28:The hot drink and biscuit on arrival was a nice touch so was the explanation of how the shower and all other things that you may need to know. Breakfast was very tasty and a good size couldn't fault anything

Review 29:I loved it very quiet the only problem with this place there is no public transport to get there and back but everything else is spot on I would recommend this B&B to others cos it is very beautiful.

Review 30:The only thing I would change is the bath mat - it was very old and it gave a bit of a bad impression, although it was very clean! Some bit of the sheets would need a bit of sewing.

Review 31:The bedroom was a simple bedroom, with all the facilities you could need. It was clean and cosy, very comfortable bed. The bathroom was simple but still clean and complete. The breakfast was very nice. In general, a very nice stay and I would completely recommed it if you are looking for a quiet, clean and cosy place.

Review 32:No mobile 'phone service possible from inside the building. Had to go out into the car park to get a signal. TV "froze," which interrupted viewing. Bathroom was cold. Bed was uncomfortable.

Review 33:Breakfast was good quality. WiFi service worked well.

Review 34:Quite hard to find in the darkness, especially for overseas travellers

Review 35:Once we were settled, every thing was excellent. Problem with the duel highway, had to travel 3 miles for a round about

Review 36:Finding this quiet place was a little ackward in the dark. but even that added to its charm.

Review 37:In spite of a mix up with the booking, we were made very welcome and every facility was made available to us. This is a fine b&b well off the main highway but also very convenient for both the M2 and M20. I recommend this b&b as a quiet overnight stop or a base to visit the region. Check out the Village pub for excellent food, beer, company and 'wooden beams' atmosphere. We do intend to return to both.

Review 38:Accommodation was good but a little overpriced. Nice warm shower but not easy to turn it off without getting blasted with cold water. Motion activated light in car park didn't stay on for very long.

Review 39:Comfortable bed, quiet country location, friendly staff, and a very cosy little breakfast room with a comprehensive selection of food and drink to kick start your day. Free Wi-Fi.

Review 40:Wasn't easy to access eating places as we had to cross the dual carriageway nearby , there was nowhere nearby to walk to.

Review 41:The room was ground floor , very easily accessed. Bed very comfy, breakfast lovely, plenty of choice. Easy access to motorways

Review 42:Mobile reception is not available inside the property but is fine outside.

Review 43:Location is stunning and Emma the owner creates an atmosphere of home from home . You just relax as soon as you're there. Superb value for Money.

Review 44:We visited the Cock Horse, Detling, for dinner. Bad choice. It was recommended in the guest book.

Review 45:Great breakfast and lovely staff. a good choice if visiting Chatham Dockyard and Leeds Castle. would stay again. Could do with a little T.V. lounge.

Review 46:Loved the rural, country side setting. Great host Emma! Really helpful and charming. Very comfortable bed and all the necessary facilities. Ideal for a quiet, relaxed stay but not great for anyone who would be relying on public transport. Otherwise delightful

Review 47:The staff where very friendly, the accommodation was very homely, bright and clean. The breakfast was excellent. Having to cross the main road at the end of the lane was a bit dangerous. But really enjoyed our stay. Would recommend a stay here.

Review 48:To get out of the lane onto the main road was a bit of a nightmare, you need nerves of steel and a very fast car!

Review 49:we were made to feel very welcome and our room was comfortable. We were doing a weeks tour of Kent, and the breakfast at Detling House was the best one all round!

Review 50:Friendly homely environment, we had a lovely welcome with welsh cakes and tea! The staff members are so friendly they make you feel at home. Comfortable beds I slept like a baby:) what a lovely welsh breakfast with options for vegetarians - we enjoyed our stay and will definitely use this facility again

Review 51:Nothing all was great

Review 52:The location to the Kent show ground was excellent being a minute away, evening meals taken at various inns in Detling were very good. Set in its own grounds with a small pond

Review 53:Terrible shower, head was loose and water pressure was very low. Also temperature wasn't stable. Noise was constant from guests coming and going and adjoining rooms from thin walls. Towels where tatty and rough. Room was small and grimey.

Review 54:Breakfast was ok, there was a choice of continental or cooked. With other available options such as yogurts and muffins etc

Review 55:awkward lock on the bedroom door.
