Reviews for Anna Pension

Review 1:Our room was just near the entrance and the receiption (and kitchen) and one of the windows was just to the pool. It might happen that you will be disturbed (not obligatory, the door and windows are soundproof) by people arriving, eating, paying, talking, leaving and bathing in the pool, especially if you tend to go to bed early and to wake up early too. We were lucky to come in November - there were few people and the pool was off. Also I was dissapointed with the kitchen. It is not a kitchen in fact. It is just a sink, an electric kettle and couple of knives - that's it. And I planned to cook omelette at least - it is impossible, there is no stove. What is more, the kitchen is open only after 9 am and is closed at 10 pm (or about). No chance for early breakfast. We asked for doublebed but we got two single beds put together. Thanks for special soft roller or pillow (selfmade?) that was put between them. But still it is not as comfortable as normall doublebed.

Review 2:If you need it there is a transfer to/from the airport. Room was nice and clean. Helpful and nice owner Anna.

Review 3:Located in down hill and 10-15min away from bus stop. But there's ocean view right in front of the pension. So it was okay for me!

Review 4:Anna is super nice person. she picked us up and drop us off at the airport. The day we checked out, my friend had severe stomachache and there wasn't any place we can take a rest. When i asked her a favor, she just gave us an empty room. I really thank to her For the facility, room is really nice, cosy, and neat. I loved it! *there's a hair dryer in the room. Don't worry!

Review 5:Wi-Fi inconsistent at best

Review 6:Excellent value , good basic room which was cleaned on a daily basis. Superb Cretan bakery 5 mins away on the main road. Only 20-25 mins walk into Fira

Review 7:the double bed was really two small beds pushed together :( oddball small shower , uncomfortable to bathe by rubbing curtains and wet the toilet.

Review 8:The very friendly owner picked us up from the airport for free , cleaned the room every five days we stayed at their hotel. The piece with a nice balcony and a small table and chairs to contemplate the island, with small bathroom, the double beds are two small beds pushed together. Very good price - quality, use of communal kitchen , possibility to prepare breakfast and free tea and coffee during the day. Approx. 15 minutes walk from Fira, and two minutes from bus stops to explore Santorini.

Review 9:The wi-fi signal was weak at times, could be improved.

Review 10:I had to modify the booking to accomodate more of my friends. It was easy and flexible to do this. Anna Pension cordially accepted my request and made the changes as per my requirement.

Review 11:We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It's a charming hotel in a great location. Anna & her staff are lovely & really can't do enough for you! Always happy to help & always with a smile.

Review 12:There isn't a full kitchen. The bathroom shower was tiny and water would leak onto the floor.

Review 13:Anna is such a nice woman. She loves to teach you Greek words and make sure you have everything you need for your stay. They also shuttle you from the Airport which reduces your stress when you land.

Review 14:Best hotel ever! Extremely clean and cosy place! Out of the city noise, safe and relaxing area. 15 minutes walk from Thira, 2 minutes walk from the nearest mini market and lokal bakery. Bus to Kamari beach takes only 10 minutes, to Akrotiri 20 minutes. Lovely view from the balcony. Owner, Mrs Anna, is friendly and ready to help with everything you need (including free airport transfers). The best place we could imagine while staying on Santorini. Totaly great!

Review 15:It's a good 20 minute walk to the centre of Fira.

Review 16:Even though there was no breakfast they did provide coffee and tea which was really nice. Had a great view from our balcony.

Review 17:For this price it couldn't have been better. Anna is super nice, always willing to help you. Rooms are perfectly clean. You get fresh towels every second day. The neighborhood is fine, what's best - it's quiet at night. There are nice restaurants just few blocks away and there's also one of the best Greek bakery on the island.

Review 18:The bathroom is a bit tiny, but you can make it for a few days.

Review 19:Andreas is so nice and helpful !!! The place is super clean, localization is perfect especially if you get a car. And Santorini is wonderful ! Perfect place to stay for a tight budget.

Review 20:mattress was very bad, It was more of a youth hostel with noisy young people, There was a group of young people of Russian origin that until the night "constantly" closing the door loudly while going all the time in and out. Not quiet, noise of the motorcycles quads and cars.

Review 21:Guest House was very clean, very friendly hostess Anna and son Andreas.

Review 22:I cannot fault this place for anything

Review 23:This was the cleanest place we stayed at in santorini, its impeccable, the top floor rooms with balcony's are spacious and wonderful and the pool is super clean surrounded by comfy couches. The hosts are absolutely lovely, they are so friendly and helpful. The have a kitchen downstairs open from 9am - 9pm and a great sitting area indoors and outdoors. They have free tea and coffee all day and cutlery, plates, glasses to use. We stayed in 6 different accommodations in santorini and by far this was the best, others were double the price and horrible in comparison. It's about a 20 min walk to the main bus station in Fira, but grab an ATV or a bike to get to and from the room to save time/ cut out walking distance, but a 20min walk is wonderful for a relatively lazy vacation! We loved this place so much we extended our stay another two nights!

Review 24:Shower but we are getting used to small showers!

Review 25:Location was central to what we wanted to see. Able to get to Fira easily. Pool was great. Internet worked for us.

Review 26:No collection from port.

Review 27:No kettle in room, but free coffee and tea provided, you have to provide your own water. Location good, apart from the steep hill that could be difficult for those less mobile. Free transfer to airport provided.

Review 28:We (family with 8 year old son) stayed 5 days at Pension Anna. Nice location, clean, good situated (7 min. to the bus stop and very good bakery at the crossroad, 3 min. to small supermarkets, 20 min. walking distance to Fira center). Anna and her son are very kind, friendly and helpful people. What is really nice: You have the possibility to cook in a seperate kitchen room. And: There is a really nice room where you can take your breakfast with possibility to cook water for tea or coffee, there is also an espresso maker. Very nice pool. Cleaning every day. Quiet place. Good value for money.

Review 29:The only bad thing is that Thira (the capital of Santorini) is a bit far by foot 15-20 minutes and there is no beach near the hotel. The bus stop that takes you to Thira and to other areas of the island is 10 minutes away by foot.

Review 30:The staff was very friendly and welcoming, always attentive to our requests and willing to help us with directions around the island. The room was very clean and was cleaned every day. There is also a swimming pool that one can relax by and a nice view of Santorini from the hotel.

Review 31:I liked everything I just think that if you book in advance, you can find nicer hotels in Fira for just a little bit more money. Everything happens in Fira. A 25 min walk isn't a lot but if you are young but if you are looking for comfort you should invest in a hotel in Fira.

Review 32:The price and location are ok. 25 min walk to Fira.it's a cheap option if you are on a tight budget. The pool is nice and never crowded. Internet speed is really good. The view from the balcony is nice.

Review 33:The shower was tiny, making showering uncomfortable and messy.

Review 34:The hotel is at a convenient location with a mini-market and a nice, affordable restaurant nearby. It is a 10-minute walk to the bus stop and a 20-minute walk to Fira. The rooms are spacy, clean and there is a daily housekeeping service. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Free airport pick-up and drop off is provided which is amazing.

Review 35:Arrived in Santorini with an after midnight plane. Owners were very kind to pick us from the airport that late night. Bed was very big and comfortable. Enjoyable night spend there ;)

Review 36:We stay two days at Anna Pension, the employee is very friendly to welcome us, she helps us clean the room on second day and her son is also very nice to pick us to the airport at night, thank them make us have great memories in Santorini!

Review 37:Wish the staff would have taken more initiatives to communicate with their guests; no hair-dryer in the bathroom

Review 38:Nice clean room, fairly good location, reasonable price

Review 39:There is no wifi in the rooms. A bit far from the center but you can go by bus.

Review 40:The Owner was very helpful. the room was clean, nice pool and nice view.

Review 41:The bathroom is a bit small and uncomfortable, but bearable.

Review 42:Anna and other staffs are really nice. The hotel is typical Greek design and has very good location. From the front door you turn left and keep walking uphill until you see 2 mini markets, the bus stop to Fira (opposite stop to Perissa, Kamari) and 1 big supermarket. Fira bus terminal is actually walkable, although during daytime it's quite sunny so we often took the bus to Fira and walked on the way back. There's also a kitchen with almost everything you need to cook.

Review 43:The bed was a little uncomfortable but we viewed that was a good thing because when you're in Santorini you should be out and about exploring!

Review 44:The hotel has a free shuttle to and from the airport which is amazing. Once you arrive, there are beautiful views of the typical blue and white churches. Lots of outdoor seating to enjoy the beauty around you. Great location to mini markets, grocery store, restaurants, and only a 15 minute walk to Fira or 2 minute walk to the bus stop. The price was absurdly cheap considering how wonderful it was. Anna and Andreas are some of the nicest people we've ever met and they were extremely accommodating. I would seriously recommend this to anyone staying in Santorini.

Review 45:A nice young men came to meet us at airport. He also tell us some basic facts about the island. The hotel it's self is nice and clean. Only downside of hotel is where it is, little hidden, we would never have found it if we go looking for it out self.

Review 46:Really liked the airport pick-up and drop off service. Grocery stores are just around the corner so it was very easy to get items for breakfast and keep in the frig. We enjoyed eating on our balcony.

Review 47:Would have preferred carpeting on the floor of the room, and a bathtub in the bathroom; showering was too messy.

Review 48:Only stayed one night. Nice, quiet location near the bus stop and a tour center, few blocks up the hill. Didn't have any interaction with staff, only on checking in and checking out.

Review 49:Not so quiet since the wall is not sound-proof.

Review 50:Big thanks to the landlord (Andrea) for his kindness to pick us up at the airport and again to drive us to the airport when we left. We really appreciate this. Anna Pension has a good location, 10 minutes walking to Fira and if you hire a squad you can go as far as you want. Facilites are good. We enjoyed our stay here!

Review 51:Parfois un peu bruyant (bruits de portes qui claquent).

Review 52:Piscine, propreté, 20min de marche du centre de fira. Tout à dispo pour se faire des salades ou café. Personnel très sympa.

Review 53:A mistake was made in the number of people staying, resulting in us being split across 2 rooms for the first night.

Review 54:Very friendly and helpful staff, provided us with an extra room when a booking mistake was made, free airport transfers.

Review 55:A bit confusing to find out the location from the bus stop, no signs

Review 56:Everything was great 25 minutes walk to Phira, 15 miutes drive from the port by local bus, Taverna Scaramanga just 5 min walk with excellent lunch\dinner

Review 57:need to walk for few minutes to the bus station

Review 58:Comfortable and clean room with balcony! Nice kitchen and swimming pool! Good environment! Strong wifi! Friendly and helpful Anna fetch me from and to airport!

Review 59:All is fine.... Many people will be not happy for Wi-Fi but its not the problem from the Hotel but from the Greek communication org.

Review 60:If you pay 30€ per night in Santorin in the back of your head it's sure that you will be scary about the Hotel... BUT ... 1. Room (+Bathroom) is clean 2. Everything you needed is there 3. The owners are there for everything 4. The Hotel is in the center of the island so its easy to move and see all you want.

Review 61:Unfortunately the other guests were very noisy, banging their doors all night and singing in the early hours of the morning. We did not get much sleep but this is not something the hotel can control.

Review 62:Free transfer from airport to hotel! Very good price for the room, it was spacious and very clean. Our host was very helpful and friendly!

Review 63:WiFi was a little spotty at times. It would be nice to offer guests a 'do not disturb' sign as the staff clean the rooms everyday in the morning.

Review 64:Simple, bright and exceptionally clean. I didn't really know what to expect as it was such good value butI was very pleasantly surprised. Refrigerator and aircon in every room, communal kitchen to self-cater and lovely pool terrace that was a suntrap

Review 65:Anna and her son were incredible hosts. We had a late flight in and a late flight out and they helped us to arrange transportation and were there to answer any questions. The property was extremely clean and a great value!

Review 66:The decoration is nice looking. The facility is much more modern than the one we had in Athens. There is a storage room for us on the day we left. we had hardly any problem with WIFI. The landlord recommended really good restaurant to us.

Review 67:The refrigerator had to be unplugged in order to sleep (but I'm a light sleeper) and the wifi was not always working.

Review 68:Anna is a nice person and very accommodating. I was picked up and dropped off at the airport as planned with no worries. The whole place is very clean including the pool.

Review 69:Nothing special apart from Wifi connexion sometimes bugged around 8 pm but it was not a big pb for me

Review 70:The pension and my bedroom were very clean. Each morning bed was done.

Review 71:Inn Keeper took us to the airport in am. We got there just as they were announcing final boarding for our flight. Take a taxi. Rent a car or take a taxi if you want to go to the beach.

Review 72:Got to Fira from Oia by local bus, but got bad information from bus driver as to how to get to Karterados. We called Anna Pension and Inn Keeper came by car to pick us up in Fira. The location was within walking distance of a great bakery and restaurants.

Review 73:Was so nice it made it harder to leave pension to go off exploring!

Review 74:Easy to get around the island as bus stop 5 mins away. Quiet location in a little village, great value for money, & very friendly & helpful staff. Was met at airport & dropped off again on departure, which was awesome as I had a LOT of luggage! Internet & pool were great too

Review 75:We just stayed 4 nights at the beginning of October. The place is great for this price, the owner is lovely and will try to help in any way she can and it's only a 20 minutes walk to busy Fira, situated close to a bus stop which includes all the bus lines of the island except for Oia, which departs from Fira. So the location is very convenient, without being overwhelmed by the crowds.

Review 76:Located in Karterados and a 15-20 minute walk from Fira, Anna Pension is the ideal headquarters for exploring the island without shelling out an arm and a leg. The facilities here are solid -- the rooms are spacious (by European standards) and have the essentials: A/C, TV, and the ever-welcome mini-fridge to store leftovers from dinner and snacks from one of the three nearby grocery stores, and the reception area has plates, glasses and silverware. Our room's Cycladic blue-shuttered windows overlooked the swimming pool, which was refreshingly deep on one end and just cold enough when the early September sun was out. Anna Pension's location is also worthy of note: Don't be fooled by Google Maps; it's in a great spot. Karterados offers several places to eat for a range of budgets (and most are cheaper than eating in Fira) as well as multiple motorbike/quad-bike rental stores (we rented a quad-bike for 15 euros for the whole day and had a blast touring the island -- I highly recommend doing so!). We agreed that the Cretan bakery across the street from the bus stop (Erotokritos) was our favorite of the many Greek bakeries we frequented on our trip -- it boasts a massive selection of baked goods that they make in-house at very reasonable prices. If we're ever fortunate enough to return to Santorini, we'll certainly be staying at Pension Anna again!

Review 77:A perfect place to explore the whole island. It was much better than we expected for that price. Big room, very clean, lovely view of the sunrise from the balcony, friendly staff, free transfer from/to the airport, bakeries, restaurants, supermarket and bus station very close, walking distance to Fira. It was a pleasant stay and we will be back for sure.

Review 78:Very cheap place to stay, if you want to stay close to Fira but don't want to pat for the caldera views. Located at the end of a street in the village of Karterados, just off the main street to Fira. Clean, comfortable, nice staff, good wi-fi.

Review 79:Staff were always there when we needed them, pool, room and communal areas were always clean! Air con was brilliant and tavernas, quad hire and a couple of shops were close by. We hired a quad for a couple of days, at 20 euros a day, it was the best way to see the island easily and we were able to park it outside the hotel safetly! We checked out at 11am and were able to chill by the pool while waiting for a few hours to head to the port. Adreas was really helpful and organised a taxi for us, we will definitely be recommending to friends!

Review 80:Despite the 20 min walk to Fira, the views and locals we met along the way helped make our trip memorable

Review 81:- Anna and her son were extremely welcoming, hospitable and informative - Our flight was very early in the morning and they offered to take us to airport - supermarket close by - plenty of eateries - close bus stops

Review 82:The sheets didn't feel great to me, but that is more personal preference, I think. Certainly not a major minus as it was so warm that I didn't need them anyway! Fira/Karterados is a ways from any beaches/water, however I had done my research before booking and was aware of this when I chose this place. Again, not really a minus for me but may be for others.

Review 83:The pool/lounging area was amazing, the location was good - just a quick bus ride to the main bus station at Fira, or a 20-30 minute walk (depending on how hot it is) to the bus station/Fira. The staff were helpful, the room was lovely, with a great view from the balcony. An excellent price for what was my favourite hotel of my trip!

Review 84:The bathroom / W.C. had no window

Review 85:Very good and cheap choice in Santorini. It is located close to the main city of the island: 20 minutes walking (about 1km) or 5 minutes with the bus/car. The room was ok and the staff friendly.

Review 86:The fridge in our room, even if it was very useful for us, was a little bit noisy... But, after the first night, we got used to it!

Review 87:the hotel is very nice, all white and blue - very greek! There is also a small swimming pool with sunbeds, which can be used all day, till 10pm. The room was big, simple, nice, and clean; every day the room was cleaned, and fresh towels and soap were provided every 2 days. Anna and her son Andreas were kind and friendly; Andreas picked us at the airport the first day when we arrived, and then took us there when we had to leave - all for free. They don't provide breakfast, but there is a nice kitchen where guests can help themselves with coffee or tea; we also used the kitchen to prepare some meals, for lunch and for dinner; the kitchen was very well organized, we found everything we needed (salt, oil, sugar, every kind of pan, plates, glasses etc.) Kartherados is also a "strategic" place, as is only 15 min walking (and 5 min by scooter) from Thira and from a big Carrefour supermarket (but there are also two small mini markets just next to the hotel, even if they are quite expensive). Kartherados is in the centre of Santorini, so you can easily reach every place in the island by scooter. We really really recommend this hotel!

Review 88:Mattress was not overly comfy and neither were pillows and bathroom was quite small and really wasn't the facilities to cook tea

Review 89:Walking distance to Fira and bus stops.

Review 90:Location - eventhough there is no Caldera view, if have your own transport (ATV, Car or Scooter) this place is almost perfect for exploring the whole island. Excellent Restaurant (Skaramagas), Bakeries, Rentals, Travel agent nearby. During Holiday season, for value this hotel is pretty much unbeatable ! Room - was comfortable, clean, balcony with swimming pool view, and good wi-fi signal.

Review 91:* Centrally located: once you find your way to the bus stop opposite Zotos cafe 5 minutes' walk up the hill, you're just a short ride into Fira bus station and from there you can get a bus cheaply (2.30, I think) to anywhere on the island. Easy to get to both Oia and Akrotiri for the excavations. * Anna, her son Andreas and their staff are efficient, welcoming and friendly. * Rooms have air con, en suite shower, toilet and sink, fridge and confortable beds. * Clean and pleasant swimming pool (10am-10pm access only) * Own cooking facilities in basement. * Coffee and tea making facilities (kettles, briki and cups as well as milk, tea bags and coffee available) * Kanterados is like a seaside town - but without seaside!

Review 92:Nothing.

Review 93:What is there not to like? The staff is very nice and helpful, facilities are all clean and functional. Our room was big and clean and beds were comfy. AC and wifi worked perfectly. Location is very good too: in 20mins walking you are in Fira. 5mins away from the hotel there is a bus stop taking you everywhere on the island. Careful though, there is no ATMs in Karterados so make sure you have cash when coming there. Anyway, I would definitely recommend this hotel, our stay there was perfect.

Review 94:No blankets provided only a sheet A fair walk to the hotel from where the bus drops you off. Nothing realllly close to the hotel to eat at. Wifi stopped working for about 24 hours which was a little bit annoying

Review 95:The room we stayed in had a really nice view to the ocean. Close to Fira Pool Balcony A semi - decent beach only 5min scooter ride from hotel

Review 96:Noisy rooms - quite difficult to sleep late in the morning. The hotel is located right next to the street so be prepared to the noise.

Review 97:Good for the price we payed in early July (around 30€/double room/night).

Review 98:nothing

Review 99:Great facilities, located right near quad rental, bus stop and convenience store. Pick up from airport was very helpful. Island is great and exploring was a blast. Black beach is a must here as is Oia.

Review 100:The pension is in a perfect position, very close to fira and central tothe isle. Very clean, silent and out of noise. The common kitchen isfully furnished and there are supermarkets very close. Anna and herfamily are wonderful. They can pick-up and drop-off to airport. There isthe possibility to stay there after check-out (use the common kitchen, beds, bathroom). Swimming pool very clean. Good wi.fi. Easy to reachfrom the port: bus to thira and ask to the driver to stop inkartherados; after 300 meters you find the pension. Rent scooters nearthe bus stop.

Review 101:Part of the walking route to Thera was alongside the main busy road which was less enjoyable.

Review 102:It was a good value for money in Santorini. The pension is in walking distance to Thera and away from the tourist-crowded areas. There is a relatively short way to a bus stop. We enjoyed shopping for breakfast in the local bakery and dining in the local tavernas. The pool in the garden is a welcoming feature on hot days, although it could be made available earlier in the morning and later at night providing bathers don't disturb other guests.

Review 103:The owner was really nice always trying to make our stay perfect. It was a family atmosphere and perfect that we could cook at our place.

Review 104:we liked everything

Review 105:they picked us up at the airport and dropped us off when we left. Clean and friendly staff.

Review 106:Anna is a great person, she is very polite and helpful. The rooms are amazing and big, I enjoyed the time here

Review 107:salty water, wetness in bathroom, cold marble floor

Review 108:nice room, great location, nice staff, fridge in room

Review 109:Anna is very nice and give me a pick-up to airport.

Review 110:Great place, near the capital Fira and very friendly staff . Wi-fi, very clean place . We loved it.

Review 111:The comfort of the bed

Review 112:The attitude

Review 113:location and comfort wasn't the best but OK

Review 114:it was really clean, sheets was changed every second day and anna was very nice and kind

Review 115:Position, staff, cleaning

Review 116:The owner is very helpful. She picked us in Airport und send us to there! The hotel ist near Busstop , but not so noisy like Oia or Fira

Review 117:Too far from Fira. It's more 30 minutes by foot than 15minutes.

Review 118:Clean rooms. Nice personnals.

Review 119:Great Price, Very good value for Money...got picked up from the airport (even though flight was late)make a short trip easy.

Review 120:Dobra lokacija,besplatan transfer.Dobar odnos cene i kvaliteta.

Review 121:A bit of a walk from the main bus stop.g

Review 122:Very clean and spacious room. Great pool.

Review 123:Lovely stay, exactly what we needed and definitely worth the low price! Clean and comfy
