Reviews for Inter-Hotel Bristol

Review 1:Restaurant evening menu , good food, well presented ,helpful staff but with limited English, basic but clean rooms. Value for money. Made to feel welcome.

Review 2:Patrick, on the staff, was very pleasant and helpful. Location was convenient for the station and it was a short walk into the centre. Breakfast was good.

Review 3:Unassuming on the outside but inside was a pleasant surprise. Jobsworth on desk would not allow check in paperwork to be completed until exactly check in time but this was compensated by a rather nice meal in the restaurant (Monday, everything closed) Good covered parking for motorbikes.

Review 4:busy traffic on the main road

Review 5:excellent breakfast, located on the edge of the old city centre, friendly staff, we got an upgrade for free, hygienic room, parking space (very small entrance though!), nice garden

Review 6:Staff at front desk were not friendly or helpful, breakfast staff did not even acknowledge me on either day I stayed there. The only exception was the young woman who checked me out.

Review 7:Close to the station which was good after a long flight. Very comfortable bed and quiet room overlooking the central garden. Hotel was adequate but tired.

Review 8:Bed bugs ! Both my travelling companion and I had bites following our visit (they only show up 2 days later- unfortunately familiar with them from other Camino trips).

Review 9:Beautiful new bathroom with a good location relative to the city

Review 10:Parking non existent, very sad décor, bathrooms clean but old fashioned. Breakfast overpriced at 10.50 euros. Our friend stayed front bedroom number 28 with a superb view but extremely noisy. Fair price for rooms, 80 pounds without breakfast during the festival.

Review 11:Staff helpful and spoke English. Convenient to main centre.

Review 12:The road view renovated room, although was very nice, but it didn't have air conditioning and was hot and noisy. However, the garden view rooms are awesome!

Review 13:Thanks to wonderful staff. The renovated rooms on garden view side is 5 star!

Review 14:Bathroom needed a couple of repairs but didn't detract from enjoyment of stay.

Review 15:Excellent restaurant - probably best meal I've ever eaten in France. Friendly & welcoming. Close to old town & easy access to routes in and out of city.

Review 16:shabby bathrooms

Review 17:good location

Review 18:This hotel has all the basic amenities of a hotel which is comparable to hotels found in North america.

Review 19:Well placed

Review 20:Location & very helpful staff.

Review 21:I liked the whole atmosphere in the Hotel. The staff was excellent, warm and attentive.

Review 22:I arrived minus my suitcase which had been lost by the airlines. I found all the staff very helpful and kind. Nothing was a problem.

Review 23:Wifi access was poor, The attic family room was a bit dated.

Review 24:The hotel seems a little tired but was clean and comfortable.

Review 25:no window, only fire escape door. depressing decor, noisy main road

Review 26:location

Review 27:wifi in room was non existent but ok downstairs

Review 28:location and undercover secured parking for motorcycles

Review 29:The staff did speak to us in French whilst in the restaurant, even though they knew that we cannot speak French (and they could speak English). Nobody offered us a basic translation of the menu. They were still very pleasant however and their service was always prompt--I just felt slightly awkward when they would speak to me in French and look at me enduringly.

Review 30:The staff were always pleasant and friendly.

Review 31:We bought the half board option and the dinner (set menu) was enjoyable. Breakfast was also okay. Close to sncf station. 5 to 10 minute walk to town centre. 15 minute walk to Cathedral.

Review 32:Rooms was very small. our only opening was a door that led onto the fire escape so not secure, and due to the heat we needed to open it, but didn't feel comfortable. Found out on check out that we could have paid less booking with the hotel direct!

Review 33:location was good, not far to walk to the catherdral etc and lovely squares. Parking was secure.

Review 34:The hotel advertised that it had a car park. However, this was a very small courtyard type arrangement within the hotel building block, full when we arrived mid-afternoon, probably with staff cars, and extremely difficult to access as the very narrow doorway into the equally narrow lane access was straight off the building line at the street. The doorway and the lane were only about 75mm wider than our car. We had to approach from the other side of the road to get a straight line access and retract the wing mirrors. Having finally got into the car park the only space available was for a disabled person. By this time we were so angry that we just left the car there. Not a pleasant experience. When we finally got into our room we discovered that it had no airconditioning which had been a feature which especially attracted us to this hotel( along with the parking facilities). We requested a room with airconditioning and transferred our luggage down and up stairs and through doorways to the proferred room. We had been told that the aircon was only available for a few hours during the evening and early morning. This was a very hot and humid day! The aircon didn't come on at the appointed hour. We had a look around the room and couldn't see any proper aircon unit. Spoke again to reception and were told that the aircon was broken. The receptionist would try to get it fixed---during the evening? Why had she given us that room in the first place if she knew the aircon was broken. We went out for dinner and returned to find ---surprise, surprise--- the receptionist had not managed t find an engineer at that time of night to fix the aircon. We decided at that point that there was no aircon at all in the hotel, that any claims the hotel had made to that effect were false and that we would not be staying there for the two nights that we had booked. We contacted booking.

Review 35:The location was good in that it was within walking distance of the old town.

Review 36:The bedroom was very small and had very limited storage which was just ok for a night, but would have been tollaly inadequate for longer.

Review 37:We had an excellent meal at the restaurant sitting in the shaded garden.

Review 38:The room was very small. The car parking space was inadequate ( despite that we have a very small car). No information about the room was available. It was not possible to have just a coffee and croissant for breakfast without paying €10 for the full buffet.

Review 39:The location and the price were excellent. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean and convenient. The staff were very friendly.

Review 40:parking was a nightmare narrow entrance from a busy street. to use this parking space without incurring damage to your vehicle requires a tiny car, once inside it is impossible to back out and near impossible to turn around.Lift is very small. Towels were threadbare and came with holes in them. The room was small and all things considered this hotel is expensive and not good value.

Review 41:Despite not being far from centre the area was scruffy and on a very busy road. Despite booking parking the garages were full, however the access was so narrow that it was only suitable for very small cars. We had to park in town which was a hassle.

Review 42:Not much

Review 43:Bathroom was badly designed -you had to sit sideways on the toilet! Nice shower though.

Review 44:Convenient location. Nice restaurant and quiet bar. Good staff. Nice atmosphere.

Review 45:Nothing

Review 46:The courtesy and helpfulness of the staff, the high standard of service in the restaurant coupled with the excellent food an choice of menu. Altogether a most satisfactory stay.

Review 47:the hotel's personal was very kind; room clean and really quiet, notwithstanding our room were just in front of the road from Montelimar;fantastic restaurant

Review 48:Lack of cupboard space in room

Review 49:Location

Review 50:Position, reasonable ratio price quality. Easy to find.

Review 51:the comfort, the room, the staff

Review 52:Enjoyed a very nice evening meal here as part of demi pension.

Review 53:Good breakfast, friendly staff

Review 54:Friendly and helpful staff, pleasant room and dining room where we had a most enjoyable meal at reasonable cost.

Review 55:There were limited parking spaces - and it was awkward to get to them.

Review 56:The hotel had a really nice ambience, and was conveniently located.

Review 57:relaxed friendly efficient staff and half board full cjoice of bistrot menu was delicious and amazing value

Review 58:Hotel restaurant was also good. (But only in french...)

Review 59:We booked a comfort room but it was still very small.

Review 60:Very central to the town so it was easy to get to all the sights.
