Review 2:Owners Lesley & Paul were very welcome and friendly. Full cooked breakfast plus trimmings which was excellent. Lovely comfortable lounge with open fire. Nice relaxing facilities. Thoroughtly enjoyable experience.
Review 3:The proprietor and his wife were extremely friendly & helpful, the breakfast was cooked to order and piping hot and the location was convenient for Moffat's pubs and restaurants.
Review 4:The warm welcome on arrival, and cup of tea and shortbread was very welcome after our long journey. Breakfast was very good and substantial, cooked just right too, thank you.
Review 5:Bedrooms not en-suite, but they were single rooms and the staff made sure that we were the only people using the facility..
Review 6:Staff are very friendly and obliging, nothing was too much trouble.
Review 7:The owners could not have been more welcoming. Perfect location in the centre of town. Even though we were the only guests there was fresh fruit for breakfast. Fantastic.
Review 8:Nothing
Review 9:breakfast was the best we have had in 3 months of travelling around Scotland. So fresh and yummy and plenty of it always served with a smile. The owners/Staff were so friendly.
Review 10:Please see above size of one double room very small.
Review 11:Great people nothing was a bother. Booked three rooms shame one wasn't big enough for a double with luggage. Breakfast lovely.
Review 12:Nothing.
Review 13:Nice location in center of the village. Good possibilities for a dinner. Nice village. Friendly staff, very helpfull. Good breakfast. Quite a large building.
Review 14:Paul and Leslie couldn't do enough for you.have never met hosts like them.when asked about eating, they provided takeaway menus and set out plates, cutlery, condiments and even napkins for our use in the guest lounge.their cooked breakfasts were hot, large and tasty and done to perfection.toast was served still hot also.where else does that happen?an assortment of mixed fruit, yoghurts, breakfast cereal bars and juices were also set out for to help yourself. Rooms were cosy, comfy and done what it said on the tin.only stayed one night but can't fault anything
Review 15:Clean, spacious and comfortable. One of the best hotels I've stayed in in recent years. The hospitality of the owners was first rate and the breakfast was delicious too. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone stopping off in the beautiful town of Moffat.
Review 16:The central location and the surprisingly modest B&B charge are the key assets, but these are well supported by a high degree of comfort and friendly and polite staff.
Review 17:Only downside for me was a small draft in our room but that didn't affect out stay or sleep.
Review 18:Paul and Leslie were so friendly and welcoming, they couldn't do enough to ensure your stay with them was a pleasant one. Breakfast was tasty and so filling, it kept us going for the rest of the day. We will be returning at some point (hopefully in the not too distant future!).
Review 19:Nothing not to like
Review 20:Everything the friendly owners who couldn't do enough for you whenwe got there we were offered coffee cake and biscuits can't waitfor next year
Review 21:There has to be serious concerns over the fire precautions. The front door is kept locked and cannot be opened from inside without use of the guest key, hardly a practical prospect in darkness and smoke. Emergency exits were not marked (of if they were, not prominently). The door to one exit was jammed and needed a hard push. I was assured that the actual exit to outside at the bottom of the emergency stairs was unlocked but in view of the experience over the locked from door, I accepted that reassurance with much reservation. Being slightly disabled with regard to stairs, I was unable to investigate.
Review 22:Excellent welcome and help by the lady who runs the hotel on behalf of the owner.
Review 23:Liked everything
Review 24:Can't fault The Bonnington. The perfect hosts throughout, combined with comfortable accomadation in a great location. Even the plumbing is entertaining.

Review 28:The staff was amazing So welcoming and made you feel at home
Review 29:The hosts are so friendly and helpful. My room was light and airy, the bed was cosy and comfortable and the shower is one of the best I have used. Breakfast was huge with a good range of fruits, juices and cereals followed by everything you could think of in a full Scottish cooked breakfast and all delicious, hot and served with a smile. There is also plentiful, free parking outside the hotel. You will get a very warm welcome.
Review 30:Nothing bad - but bedrooms at second floor level may not be suitable for some elderly people (but easy stairs and they carried our cases up when we arrived)
Review 31:The lounge/dining room was available for use all evening - even for "take-away meals".
Review 32:It was excellent place, very friendly and their hospitality was traditional Scots. Breakfast was a choice of simple to a full scottish breakfast. Already arranged to go back another time.
Review 33:Single room window let in the wind and only had an oil heater to heat the room.

Review 68:Our visit to the wonderful Bonnington Hotel was made even more enjoyable by the excellent, friendly management of this beautiful, rustic hotel. Paul, the manager could not have done anymore to make us feel welcome and at home! A full english breakfast, which was the perfect way to start the day... Delicious!! Review 69:Everyone at the Bonnington was so friendly and helpful. I was running a bit late and hadn't let them know - they called me to check when they could expect me and welcomed me like an old friend when I arrived after a long journey. I only stayed one night, but nothing was too much trouble for them and I had a great night sleep - ready for my triathlon at St Mary's Loch the day after - where I came 3rd - thanks to their lovely breakfast fuelling me all the way! Very conveniently located with easy parking and just off the motorway.

Review 76:Small niggle was the erratic TV reception.
Review 77:An excellant welcome, with refreshing cup of tea and biscuits reviving us for a quick trip up into the beautiful scenary above Moffat. A full folder of local restaurants lead to quick and simple choices of places to eat. Following a solid nights sleep the breakfast was excellent - potato scones, lorn sausage and all the trimmings. We did not need to eat again until the evening -even the 15 yr old bottomless pit was filled. Would definitely return...
