Review 1：room description not as described. picture shows large balcony but the only room with picture of large balcony belongs to owner. Breakfast is continental only. have to pay to upgrade to something edible. do not arrive in afternoon as hotel closed for siesta so no assistance. No port transfer as advertised

Review 5：The bathroom is a bit small, and since there isn't a door to the shower cubicle, expect the floor to get wet when you shower. The gentleman who is the manager/owner is a bit loud, and I suspect it is mostly because he is older and hard of hearing, sometimes you can hear him upstairs in the morning. We stayed in 5 different hotels on 4 islands on this trip, and this hotel was the only one that did not offer transfer to the port. It would have been good if they had at least sent some more information on how to get the bus to Galissas, as it is not very obvious from the port, if you don't speak Greek.

Review 6：The location is unbeatable! The balconies have a great view of Galissas beach, and the beach itself is lovely. The fish taverna at the end of the road was our staple for 3 days - amazing food. There are convenient buses from the hotel to the port and Ermopoulis. The hotel itself is old but fine, with large rooms, sea view and basic facilities. It is reasonable value for money. Breakfast was also pretty okay.

Review 7：I love the position of the hotel, so convenient, it's close to the beatch, the restaurants, the supermarket and the bus stop...It's an ideal place for summer holidays...

Review 8：The owner talks too loud, although he is a very colorful character. One of the desk clerks could be a bit nicer. Someone should show them how to make better coffee in the morning...

Review 9：The location, the superb beach some two minutes away, wonderful restaurants close by, two excellent convenience stores close by, the great beds, the cleanliness, the extraordinary cleaning ladies, the air conditioning, the woodwork (the owner is an amazing craftsman, do not miss visiting the second floor), the flowers outside, the nice terrace open all day, the very interesting people who stay at Maistralis, mostly Greek guests that keep going back !

Review 10：The room was too close to reception desk and we could hear the owner talking on the phone. As a result we were weaking up earlier than we wanted.

Review 13：The staff was excellent. The breakfast was hardy and plentiful. The hotel is located about 100 feet from the beach, excellent location and perfect for a quiet getaway with little to no tourists. The beach is very nice.

Review 14：Staff was very rude Every morning around 10:00 I was waking up due to the noises made from the housekeepers . Housekeepers was knocking the door while they knew that I was in . TV was out of order . The bathroom was too small . 3 stars hotel ? I don t think so . Old fashioned . Too expensive . I faced problems with the lock of the door of my room . All over the walls there were notifications ( don't do this , don't do that etc) For example I had to carry my luggage with my shoulders instead of rolling it , because they were worrying about their stairs and I had to clean my feet before getting in the hotel when I was returning from the beach Don' t stay here , in the same price you can find better hotels in the area .

Review 16：A nice place with typical Greek enviromnent. The hotel is located near the sea and two taverns and several bars and shops. The clients are mainly Greek people, other nationalities are a minority.

Review 17：The pictures of the hotel are quite misleading. The hotel is outdated, slightly run down, and small. The "garden" the description refers to is a small patch with a few herbs and is quite messy. The wifi did not work at all and I received no assistance. Breakfast was the same each day and was fairly bland (bread, canned peaches and some meat with cheese). I was extremely disappointed. Not worth the money at all.

Review 19：Noise, noise, noise! Loud, live music (almost every night from 9 pm to 2 am) of nearby taverns. Extreme, unnecessary noise from hotel staff (cleaning - kitchen - bar - reception) almost all day, reaching its peak very early in the morning with the loud voice of the old owner who yelled for almost anything to almost anyone. No window screen, therefore could not leave windows open due to many mosquitos. The air-conditioner was too noisy, sounding like a tractor. The sleep quality was really, really poor no matter what: noise from the outside, or the inside, or heat, or the bad matress and pillows. The bath ventilator also extremely noisy; sounded like two tractors working at the same time. Breakfast quite poor but for this price quite acceptable; fresh bread and cake was ok. No sea view from the breakfast room; right beside the main street of the village. Hair-dryer adequate only for thin, short hair; otherwise, the process takes ages. Hotel rooms need major refurbishment.

Review 20：Beach: approx. 1-2 min walk from the propably best and cleanest beach of Syros. Free parking right across the hotel. View from room: sea and sunset. Most staff with typically gentle behaviour. Breakfast marginally acceptable.

Review 39：The place was unfortunately very noisy. There was live music every night till 1:00 am from surrounding hotels and nearby taverns. Being a family with a toddler this was very annoying since we had to sleep with closed windows with A/C on. The hotel manager wasn't very helpful with the situation. Actually he got very annoyed that we complained about it trying to avoid his responsibilities. Overall I wouldn't recommend this place in high season if quite vacations is what you are looking for.

Review 40：Very friendly stuff. Promptly tried to satisfy our requests. 1' walk distance to Galissas beach which is one of the best in the island. 15' drive from the island town (Ermoupoli) which is very beautiful. Great for walks, eating etc.

Review 41：- No special facilities to make up for the rather high price - Being near the restaurants and the main road means the rooms are quite noisy at times - The air condition was noisy, though not too much - The breakfast was good but basic - Very small television that only really showed 3 or 4 channels - The staff is friendly enough, but the owner is a bit weird and loud - Despite the negatives we report, we had a good time at the hotel, and these negatives only get pronunced because of the rather low value for money ratio
