Reviews for Glendower Guesthouse and Apartments
Review 1:Bed was broken upstairs so made it abit uncomfortable to sleep in
Review 2:Love the fact it had washing machine so I could wash my clothes and also the kids clothes :) also very quiet lovely location and lovely staff :)
Review 3:I booked a cottage at fairly short notice for an overnight stay before an early morning business meeting the next day in Dereham, and the cottage I stayed in was just right for what I needed. Well equipped accommodation, comfortable, everything worked, and the lady who showed me round (Sarah?) was very friendly, and gave me a good suggestion for somewhere to eat. Very happy to recommend.
Review 4:The owner was most welcoming and was able to upgrade my accommodation at no extra cost. Light, airy and comfortable apartment with all I needed for my last minute stay.
Review 5:Niggles with bath plug and toilet flush but outweighed by unexpectedly good kitchen facilities for the price. Would be good if the helpful map of local breakfast facilities also showed the one way system.
Review 6:Peace, quiet and parking at affordable cost near to the centre of Dereham. Clean, comfortable and friendly. Will definitely use again on our next visit to Norfolk
Review 7:Rooms were tired, and main bedroom smelt fusty and bathroom wasn't the best
Review 8:Location was good, having a flat with self catering was ideal for a family
Review 9:Only rated bed as good as going from super king size to double was difficult !
Review 10:Steve the owner really friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Children loved max the dog and guinea pigs / garden.
Review 11:The rooms smelled slightly of fresh paint during the whole of the stay
Review 12:Everything;all was neat clean and tidy;everything was provided; The landlord was very nice and we just enjoyed our stay!!!! :D
Review 13:We had some issues with Wi-Fi reception in the adjacent cottage, but was fine in the main house.
Review 14:Our second visit. This quiet location is superb, with short walk to town for restaurants and other local amenities like supermarket. Easy on site parking and friendly staff.
Review 15:The children's room was above another apartment and the long-stay occupant was on the phone at 10.30pm speaking very loudly. They had to sleep in my room on the sofa (not ideal). However we explained the issue to Steve at breakfast and the following night were ok.
Review 16:The location is superb as Dereham is a great base to visit various locations in Norfolk. I can not stress how well the Glendower House is situated for shops, park, leisure centre and bowling. Extremely handy if the British weather takes effect and we spent a day in the Leisure Centre and Bowling due to the rain.
Review 17:Shower was freezing cold. Felt Dark and smelt of mould. Decor was very dated booked for 5 2 adults 3 children and yet the.property only slept 4
Review 18:The location was good a nice garden and owner was friendly
Review 19:It's a little isolated and the free wifi was a bit hit and miss, but that's being really picky.
Review 20:Quiet, self contained, well refurbished cottage. Lovely garden for kids, friendly staff.
Review 21:Our 2 bed appt seemed a bit run down. The main bedroom & bunk room was ok. There were stains on the walls & the kitchen floor was sticky. Won't take much to make it really nice, just needs a bit more TLC.
Review 22:Liked location. Owner friendly. Served well as our base.
Review 23:It's situated in a central location convenient for pubs and local restaurants. Lovely main house and the breakfast was served on time (we needed an early start for an event) and was nicely cooked. A good B&B by any standards.
Review 24:Late night noisy family coming back about 2-3.00am with young child. Nothing the B and B could do about this I suppose.
Review 25:Though we did not use the equipment in kitchen forty robe night stay it was very well stocked. For a longer stay it would have been very good.
Review 26:Tatty furnishings, no central heating, no information pack about local amenities, attractions, fire procedures (there was no fire blanket in kitchen), breakfast extra charge
Review 27:Quiet at night. Walking distance to amenities
Review 28:Quality of towels, although they did the job they were rather thin and only bath size, bath sheets much better after getting out of shower or bath.
Review 29:Location
Review 30:Great central location but quiet and felt like we were in the country. Very comfortable accommodation. Hosting was spot on. Ample parking in the grounds.
Review 31:The sofa in the lounge was uncomfortable and the inability to pay by debit card without 4% charge was annoying
Review 32:Loved the self contained cottage and the cooked breakfast was amazing, the owner Steve very friendly and the overall stay was lovely, all small details thought of inc towels, etc
Review 33:For £65 I would have liked breakfast to have been included, but it was an extra £7 each. Other than that I really can't fault it.
Review 34:The young chap who greeted my partner and I was very welcoming and friendly, and the place instantly felt very homely and comfortable. The building is beautiful and the room we stayed in was spacious, full of character and very well equipped, with a separate bathroom which was equally as pleasant. Being able to come and go as we pleased was very convenient and we really enjoyed our stay; I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Glendower. Oh and the dog, Max is adorable!

Review 39:Tired fabric / furnishings (curtains broken; carpets marked) Poor kitchen facilities Not clear (lack of photos) that just the two bedrooms, with dining table in bunk-bed bedroom.
Review 40:Self contained unit Main bedroom bed was comfortable
Review 41:Shared bathroom for so many rooms nightmare to get washed , parking loose wood should be moved from parking area . TV faculties in my room needed to be retuned maybe updated . Electric shower In my room could be option
Review 42:My room very spacious with all you need
Review 43:Wi-Fi a bit hit and miss. Could have done with a small chest of draws in the bedroom.
Review 44:Perfect location for travelling around Norfolk. Would stay here again.
Review 45:We had a self contained tiny house, that meant I didn't have to worry about the noise from my 3.5 year old daughter. It had it's own fully equiped kitchen too which was bliss.
